Meeting the Parents pt 3

*Lucas*

Right away, after mentioning that my parents are here, I noticed how Natalie tensed up. Going off of instinct, I pulled her to her feet and into a hug. Hoping like crazy that she will not freak out even more. As soon as she was in my arms, however, she instantly started to relax.

Dom: she is not scared of us, and she is giving you all her trust. You better not mess that up Lucas.

Me: I would never do anything to lose her trust. I know it is taking a lot for her to trust anyone right now, let alone me.

Once Natalie was fully calmed down my parents came around the corner into the kitchen. I could see that they both has smiles on their faces at seeing me with Natalie. So, I slowly pulled away from the hug with Natalie and put my arm around her waist protectively after facing her towards my mom and dad.

"Mom, dad this is my mate Natalie Moore. Baby, this is my mom, Sia, and my dad, Liam." I said introducing everyone to each other.

"H-hello, it is n-nice to meet you." Natalie said in a shy stammering voice.

"Hello my dear. You are very beautiful, I would love to know what your beauty regimens are." My mom said with a welcoming smile.

"Oh, Lord Sia. Give the girl a little bit before you start trying to get all her secrets. Natalie, it is a pleasure to meet you. And I am sorry for my overly excited mate." My dad said with a chuckle. What surprised me though, is Natalie's giggle. I did not think that she would giggle or even laugh with my parents this soon. Hopefully the rest of this meet and greet will go just as good.

*Natalie*

"So, Natalie, tell us a little about yourself." Sia told me as we went into the living room to get comfortable.

"Well, as you may know, I grew up in the River Rock Pack. I thought I was the daughter of Beta Moore but he told me differently the day that I met Lucas." I stated, trying to keep my nerves under control as I get to the part that I know they will agree with or freak out about. "I did not have what most would consider a "happy childhood". I had to start cleaning like a maid at a very young age. And from as far back as I can remember, I have been beaten if even the littlest thing happened. Whether or not it was my fault or not. My…"father"…was the main person to dish out this punishment, but there was always someone in the pack that would be more than willing to make it known that I was not wanted there."

"Oh my." Sia mumbled and turned to her mate, Lucas's dad, Liam. When I turned to look at Liam, I could see that he was trying his hardest to keep his anger in check. Although this made me feel a little better, that he could control his temper like this, but I was still starting to shake.

"You mean to tell me, you were made to do things that a maid is supposed to do? That this started from a very young age, and the man you thought was your father, is really not your father? How could a pack, let alone someone who is supposed to be a parent figure, treat a child like this?" Liam asked, steadily getting angrier.

"Dad I need you to calm down for Natalie's sake. She does not do well around anyone that is angry." Lucas told his dad in a soft voice.

It took a few minutes for Liam to get his anger under control, but when he did he said, "I am sorry Natalie. When I hear of anyone being mistreated in a pack, it makes me rather angry. You are so strong young lady. For someone to go through what you went through, and still be sweet, loving, and innocent is a miracle in itself. You are going to be one fine Luna."

"Speaking of "Luna". We need to wait for Natalie to go through her first shift before we do the ceremony." Lucas informed his parents.

"Oh, and while we are on this topic. I need to tell you guys the reason why I need to wait until after my first shift." I stated. Might as well get this over with.

"Are you sure you want to talk about this right now sweetheart? Is this the conversation that you were wanting to have with me tomorrow?" Lucas asked me.

"Yes, this is what me an you would have talked about, but I feel comfortable enough to say it with your mom and dad here." I said while giving Sia and Liam a smile. "However, I may have to have Midnight come forward to explain things better. But if that happens I will let you know first."

I could see that Lucas and his parents were a little confused at that. Do their wolves not come forward to talk to others unless they are just in their wolf form?

Midnight: That is something that only we can do right now. When you mark Lucas, he will be able to do this with Dom.

Me: Oh okay. Are you willing to come forward if I have trouble explaining?

Midnight: I got you Natalie.

*Lucas*

Dom: get ready this is what she was needing to talk to you about.

Me: that is what I figured, but why do this in front of the parents?

Dom: Really, Lucas? She is putting her trust in them. She is forcing herself to come out of her shell she was forced into.

Me: Is that safe for her? I do not want her to hurt herself.

Dom: I do not know. But I would say, look out for exhaustion when all this is over. She will need to eat and lay down for a nap when this is over.

"Okay. So what I have gotten from Midnight, my wolf, is that we are special. I do not know what she is going to look like, but she did tell me some of the things that she will be able to to, which in turn I will be able to do once we shift." Natalie said while looking at all of us. Giving her a reassuring smile, she continues, "Midnight told me that she will have speed, agility, combat skills, hunting and tracking skills, immunity to silver, healing powers, and be able to mind-link anyone."

My parents and I silently take in this information. Like I knew that there was something special about Natalie, but not to this extent. "So there is a possibility that there is a prophecy about Midnight and you. Dad, isn't there something in the library or the private library that might have any information on this?" I asked my dad. I seriously hope he tell me that there is somewhere we can look.

"I believe there is. We will most likely find any information on prophecies in the private library. Natalie, is there anything else that Midnight could tell us?" My dad asked.

"Why don't I let her come forward so she can give us both any new information?" Natalie shyly asked.

"Sweetie, that is fine with us. And thank you for trusting us with this. We will make sure that it never leaves this room. But, Lucas, you need to bring in Leroy and Oliver. Oh, sorry Natalie. Leroy is Lucas's beta. I understand that you met Oliver and Nathan already." My mother stated.

"Actually why not have all three come and listen in to what Midnight has to say? I trust Oliver and Nathan, plus if Lucas can trust Leroy with this than I can trust him too." Natalie said. I just sat there and looked at her after she said this. "You can trust Leroy with this right?"

"Yeah, Leroy would go to his grave before he would say a single word about this. I will mind-link all three to get their lazy butts here." I said with a chuckle.

Me: Leroy, I need you Nathan and Oliver to get to the Pack House.

Leroy: Oh man, what did we do?

Me: Dude you guys did not do anything, but I am sitting here with my mate and parents. Just get here with the other trouble makers. You're going to want to learn about your future Luna.

Leroy: Okay, just got the two munchkins. We will be there in two.
