Battle Conclusion

Adrian, who was waiting at the bus stop, suddenly felt a terrifying shockwave in his mind that paralyzed him and froze him into place. He could only move after what felt like an eternity. Realizing that something had gone horribly wrong, Adrian looked towards the alley that had been the cause for much of his worry recently, then recollected that Cody was standing not quite far from it and his heart chilled. He ran away away from the bus stop as fast as he could, while sending Gray Ninja a message about the matter.

In the alleyway, the shadow ability using woman was panting desperately. Her body was covered in severe acidic burns and bloodied wounds. Yet She kept jumping around using shadow spikes, or turning her limbs into shadowy blades to attack her enemies. The two forward attackers from the reformation division trio were heavily injured as well, a testament to the strength of the mysterious woman, who could counteract the terrifying synchronous teamwork of the trained trio.

"Woman, just give up. You can't beat us. Surrender yourself and you might have a chance at living." The telepathic woman who was standing at a distance spoke calmly.

"F#$% you too!" The opposing woman spat blood onto the ground, her chest heaving up and down from.exhaustion. She had been totally cornered this time. Her gaze turned towards where she had flung that stupid brat named Cody, who was the source of her horrors, only to be surprised to not find him there.

Suddenly, a terrifying scream erupted from the mouth of the telepath, who looked downwards, stunned. A hand had pierced her chest from the back, and come out of her body from the front, grabbing her heart. Before she could voice out any more of her shock, she fell forwards and collapsed onto the ground, dead. Behind her, Cody, his pupils red and his face filled with a crazed grin and a psychopathic unblinking eyes started laughing loudly, a beating heart throbbing within his fist.

"What the fuck?" The man with the ability to cause a psychic shockwave yelled in shock.

"Didn't we brainwash him earlier?" The other said, however, at that moment, both of them were pierced by at least twenty shadowy spikes which erupted from the ground. Their eyes wide open, the mouths scrambling in shock, the two remaining individuals died instantly.

The spikes receded back to form the burned and bloodied arms of the mysterious woman, who slumped to the ground as she looked at Cody, laughing crazily with a heart in his hand, in equally crazy shock.

"Did that idiot just inject all five drug vials into his body?" She screamed in her heart, but did not let it show on her face as she gulped in deep breaths. "That drug definitely causes serious mental issues." She confirmed her suspicions to herself.

Cody, who had been laughing, slowly stopped and the red glint in his blue pupils gradually wilted away. His madness from a moment ago had reduced, but anyone who saw him could see that his emotions were extremely unstable.

He looked at the mysterious woman and spoke. "Shouldn't you give me more of the drug for helping you survive?"

"You've already taken too many at once. Go home and calm yourself down first. Remember the terms of our deal." The woman said with a straight face, but was internally worried. Crazy people were the ones she was scared of the most.

"Shut the f#$% up and give me the drugs now!" Cody screamed in an unhinged voice. His eyes, turned red again and his canines even grew a little sharper and larger, like a wild beasts. The scene scared the mysterious woman.

The woman was already heavily injured and she didn't dare enter another fight, when this battle had certainly caught the attention of authorities. Gritting her teeth, she rolled down four of the remaining vials of the blood red drug, before she turned into a complete shadow and disappeared from the alley.

Cody's eyes glinted crazily as he took the vials and ran away from the alley as well.

An hour later, Adrian directly reached his home, panting. He ran for an hour straight, desperation in his eyes. Only when he shut the door to his room did he feel safe and calmed down.

Just what happened to cause such a terrifying battle? Had Cody clashed with the mysterious woman, or did someone else interfere? Adrian didn't know and didn't want to know.

After taking a bath, Adrian jumped into his bed, pulled over the blankets and fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning, Adrian woke up and remembering the fear of the previous night took in deep breaths, calming himself down. He heard the sounds of police sirens from the street, which surprised him. The area he lived in was a quiet neighbourhood.

Adrian checked his messaging app. There was no reply from Gray Night or acknowledgement that he saw Adrian's message. Sighing, Adrian browsed through the news, only to be stunned at the headlines.

"Masked Vigilante on the run."

"Gray Ninja caught slaughtering three heroes of the Government!"

"Hero? More like cruel criminal!"

Stunned, Adrian looked into the news and found a video. It was members of the Security Division who arrived at the site of the terrifying fight which Adrian had noticed and found Gray Ninja going through the dead bodies of three members of the Reformation Division who had been murdered in an extremely gruesome manner. The security division had engaged with Gray Ninja in combat, severely injuring him, but once again, he managed to escape.

However, the masked vigilante was now wanted for severe crimes by the security division. He was accused of murdering three stars of the government. When Adrian saw this news, his face lost all color. He Realized that his information had caused the Gray Ninja to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
