Chapter : 6 Gremory Decision

After Dylan's return from Ajuka's abode, a heavy air enveloped his room in solitude. Meanwhile, in the grand hall, the Gremory family assembled – Sirzechs and Grafiya seated across Venelana and Zeoticus. The atmosphere crackled with an unspoken tension.

"So, Ajuka couldn't cure him," Zeoticus sighed, receiving the somber report from Sirzechs.

Sirzechs nodded, a silent acknowledgment of disappointment.

"I've made a decision – his Naming Ceremony celebration stands canceled. We can't risk revealing his identity," Zeoticus declared.

Grafiya, her eyes reflecting sorrow, interjected, "But Father, locking him away in the castle just because he lacks demonic energy isn't the solution."

"Daughter, I empathize, but it's for his own good. Born without demonic energy, he won't lead a peaceful life under the Gremory name," Zeoticus explained with a father's weight on his shoulders.

"What do you suggest then, Father?" Sirzechs questioned, sensing a deeper intention.

"I'm contemplating sending him to the human world. Without demonic energy, he can blend in and live undisturbed," Zeoticus revealed.

Sirzechs considered, "That might work. We can visit him, and he can find a life of his own."

"No, son. Once he's in the human world, no one can contact him," Zeoticus asserted. But Grafiya, her voice filled with determination, broke the silence.

"What are you saying, Father? He's just a child. I can't leave him alone. If he goes to the human world, I'll go with him," she declared, tears streaming down her face as she hastily left the hall.

"Daughter, you don't understand. Visiting him risks exposing his identity, and without powers, he'll be defenseless," Zeoticus reasoned.

"I won't abandon my son," Grafiya insisted, tears streaming down her face as she hurriedly left the hall.

"Son, I made this choice to ensure my grandson's peace. I won't let him suffer like Sairaorg, enduring taunts from other families," Zeoticus said looking towards Sirzechs, the weight of his decision evident in the solemn air.

Sirzechs expressed concern, "Who will take care of him in the human world? He's just a few days old."

Zeoticus reassured, "I've made arrangements. Convince Grafiya that it's the right decision for my grandchild."

In the room where Dylan lay asleep, Grafiya gently caressed his head. Suddenly, a hand rested on her shoulder. She turned to see Sirzechs.

"Did you tell Father that Millicas will stay with me? He isn't going anywhere," Grafiya said, her eyes filled with tears.

"Millicas?" Sirzechs inquired.

"That's the name I chose for him," Grafiya replied.

"Can we talk?" Sirzechs asked. "I don't want to discuss abandoning our son," Grayfia sternly replied, not even looking at him.

"It's about our son's well-being. Let's talk and decide," Sirzechs suggested as Grafiya called for the maid, Emma. They stood on the balcony, overlooking the vast greenery in the setting sun.

"Father's decision is to send him to the human world, where he can live without problems and suffering," Sirzechs explained.

"So you've already decided to abandon him?" Grayfia said, her tone filled with anger.

"We're not abandoning him; we're providing a better life," Sirzechs insisted.

"Providing a better life by separating him from the family?" Grafiya angrily retorted, holding Sirzechs' clothes.

"Grayfia, Sirzechs is right," Venelana's voice chimed in as she approached. "Even I want my grandson to live here, but can you ensure he won't suffer? Servants and everyone else will be taunting him. It's not good for his mental health."

Grafiya crumbled into Venelana's arms, tears streaming down her face. "Don't worry; we'll visit him in the human world," Venelana reassured with a comforting embrace.

"But Father said..." Grafiya began, her voice shaky.

"We'll go see him; he can't stop us," Venelana assured.

Meanwhile in a dimly lit room, Zeoticus stood and a subordinate on his knees before him. "Everything's done as you instructed, Master," the man reported.

"I can't believe my grandson would be born like that. I wouldn't care much if he hadn't inherited the power of destruction, but without any demonic energy, he doesn't have a future," Zeoticus muttered to himself.

"Listen carefully, do everything according to plan; there shouldn't be any mistakes," Zeoticus ordered, the weight of his words hanging in the air. The man nodded, responding, "Yes, master," before taking his leave.
