A Vautour Tale: HP (SI)/ on hiatus

A female character was self-inserted into the Potter universe with medium recollection of the plots. As a non-interventionist, the character couldn't bring herself to care for the main characters and strife to profit from the background. Afterall, she had nothing to do with the overall stories. With or without her, life would still go on. In the meantime, why not gain everything on the side while the plots focus on the MCs? hehe Vautour (french) = vulture (EN) - person who preys on or exploits others *There are many plot holes. It is not a book with serious-vibe. It's pure entertainment for me. Read at your own risks. You've been warned! Notes: non English native speaker here. Just trying to improve my writing skills. Obviously, all Harry Potter belong to JK rowling and others holding the patents. I'm just a puny little fan who write fanfic for entertainment. Also, all non-english translations use google translate, so please pardon my mistakes. I simply don't know any better. Tx ~~

Winning!

After 4 weeks of waiting, the day of the lottery announcement is finally here. The announcement day is luckily on a Sunday, so I could go there early.

After breakfast, I went to my room to 'study' and then apparate to Chargin Road. My apparition is smooth now, so the popping sound is very soft and quiet. Nobody would check my room because I am naturally studious. Everyone knows that I am usually studying in my room until lunch.

After I arrived at the Chargin Road, I morphed into a different character this time, a bald man in his 40s with an average height and black-rimmed glasses. His face is forgettable easily due to the many people on the Chargin Road.

After walking some distance and queuing behind some people, I am looking at the announcement board.

Today, the announcement should be from several providers, some of which are Lotto and the National Lottery Ticket. The EuroMillions one will not be posted until next week.

Honestly, I have a feeling that I'm going to win. But I try to be humble and don't want to keep my hopes up for nothing. But still, you know the feeling when you know that something will happen and just waiting for it to happen? And when it happens, it happens. You get a bit surprised, but that's it. Well, that's what I'm feeling right now. hehehe

With my magical desperation technique (yes, I'm calling it that), I won the Million Mob Lottery from the National Lottery Ticket this year.

The prize is enormous. It's £579,989,567.00. Since the UK doesn't apply any taxes to the lottery prize, I get the full amount (Yay!). Now I only need to claim my prize before the deadline, 180 days since the announcement day. hehehe *evil laugh ensues*

(A/N: the UK tax exemption for a lottery prize is genuine. And Lotto is the new brand name of National Lottery Ticket. I googled it. You can google it too. I'm actually considering buying lottery tickets myself when researching for this. I wonder if our minds could really alter gambling results? hmm..)

While I had a feeling that I was going to win something, the amount of money I was winning rendered me speechless. It's a good thing that I'm standing in the front row of people, so nobody saw my frozen expression for a few seconds.

After clamping down my emotion, I looked down and acted sadly. As if I didn't just win any money.

I can't notice people I've won now, can I? Surely, they'd mob me or rob me.

Then, I went out of the shop and back to my room to plot.
