A Teachers' Wish (xianxia short novel)

Ren Huian, a disciple is forced to take in disciple despite his will, thus he promises his teachers if they let him choose he would be willing. He traveled around and found two orphaned girls to teach. His first lesson started with a question as he forced his students to hold a blade for the first time in their lives. "Do you hold a blade to kill, or do you hold it to protect?" Author notes: Art Drawn by me This is mostly something new I'm trying out. There will be only 30 chapters, each one will have to be around 1, 000 words. (This is a absolute rule I have to comply). And also for me to not have any pressure, I'm going to try and make extremely unhinged characters because I feel like I'm too comfortable with making normal humans and they turn out to be boring af.

Disciples

This world is set in a Xianxia world where mythological being lives, immortals cultivate, and demons prey on the humans.

Through a long set of wars, eventually 4 nations were built.

The Red Emperor nation, known for his strict rules and orders. Any who tried to invade would be cut into pieces of their formations. They are also pill concoctions.

The Green Emperor nation, known for being neutral. They live alongside nature and practice harmonizing their qi to it. But if provoked, won't let it slide so easily.

The Blue Emperor nation, known for their weaponry and sword arts. They seek out to right the wrongs in the world.

The Black Emperor, commonly known to others as the Demon King rules the black nation. Resentment has gathered in their land since the beginning of time and has caused the people there to morph into beings called "Demons". The Black Emperor wishes to rule the world.

Each nation also housed immortal sects that was built by their ancestors or with the assistance of immortals.

In the Red nation, was the Heavenly Order sect.

In the Blue nation, was the Sword Armory sect.

In the Green nation, was the Natural sect.

And in the Black nation, was the Death Demons sect.

"The clouds are as free, today as always..."

A man laid on the tiled floor of the entrance glancing at the clouds. He had his hair tied up with a band, and his black hair was also slightly orange. His blue eyes reflected the skies. As sect members passed by they would pause for a second, cupped their hands and bow, then resume with whatever.

Another random sect member stood in front and bowed. "Senior Brother Ren Huian. The sect master told me to tell you, that you should resume with your task immediately."

He waved his wrist sluggishly, "I know, I know."

He stretches.

"Lets just get this over with." He took a step forward.

The sect member looked up not even seeing the trace of his senior brother, "As expected of Senior Brother. Just when will I also reach that level?"

With hands behind his back and weaving through the air on top of his sword, he quickly brushed past mountains and villages.

"Now then, Where do I find disciples?"

Ren Huians' master and also sect leader of the Sword Armory Sect, Deng Guiren had assign him to do 1 thing. He had to find a disciple and teach them with all his heart.

Deng Guiren mentioned that the 3rd generations would battle in a very important tournament in the next 3 years it seemed.

"And I can't choose half assed either, or else I'll just get yelled at."

His mood dampened and he grew more annoyed.

"It would have been so much easier if I could just choose someone from the outer disciples!"

Even after flying for a while he couldn't see anyone worth taking as a disciple.

"Hm?" His nose tingled. "Blood?"

Black smoke emitted from a village.

Ren Huian stopped directly on top of the village.

There was nothing left but ashes and burnt corpses. The stinging smell caught him off guard as he whipped his hand to dispel the smell.

"I-Immortal!"

Just as he was about to leave a figure called out. Ren Huian had already noticed the mortal, but he didn't expect to get called out.

Intrigued he asks, "Mortal, whats the problem?"

The person in question was young girl at the age of 17 years old. Though her looks were quite average in his opinion, her demeanor was like that of a heroine who fought injustice.

She looked as if she was already done wiping her tears several times and her eyes looked calm.

"M-May the immortal please have mercy on this village."

"...Heres a hefty bag of money, do what you want with it." He casually threw a bag down which she caught.

His master had time and time again told him to care about the mortals and beings beneath him. Though, he couldn't understand it, but it was something his master had told him to do in order to get good karma.

Ren Huian thought that it was sensible, plus he didn't care about money in general.

The girl looked at the bag dumbfounded. All of it was gold. It was the height almost equal to her, so how could she even hold it up?

The girl put her arms around the bag of gold and clenched her teeth. "GRRRRRAHHHH." And a couple of inches it got up.

Ren Huian hums a, "Hm?"

BOOM!

The bag of gold falls back to the ground.

She looked at it in confusion and at the immortal in front of her embarrassingly. "Lord I-Immortal, t-this is too heavy for me to carry...."

However he ignored her and got closer.

He flew around her slowly and examining her.

"Superhuman strength? No, would this amount of strength even be good in cultivation?"

He began muttering to himself.

The girl didn't know what was happening, but chose to keep quiet till he was done.

"Hey you....er whats your name?"

She looks around left and right, then points her hand at her face.

"Me?"

"...A little slow in the head, but that should be fine." he made a mental note.

"Huh?"

"Don't worry about it. Anyways whats your name?"

"Bai Hong."

"Okay, Bai Hong. Would you like to be my disciple?"

"Eh!? M-Me?"

"Stop looking around! What are you even looking for?"

"I-I don't know if I can be-"

"Do you want to be a immortal? Yes or no!?"

"Y-Yes! Of course I want to!" Then she shriveled up again. "But can I really?"

"Since you want to then," He holds his hand out to her, "Come with me. I can promise you, that as your master I'll make you the strongest!"

For a second, the sun aligned with his figure. Bai Hong could see his outline sparkling as he smiled confidently.

Unbeknownst to her, her hand also slowly began to gravitate to his hand.

"P-Please wait! Please take me too!"

Another girl appeared. Bai Hong shook out the entrancement and held her hand close to her heart, realizing that it was beating faster than ever.

"Where are all these girls coming from???" Ren Huian confusedly scratches his head.
