Chapter 40: Let's Settle This

I watched as the door opened and Wade strolled in, I didn’t see Lonnie or the cub, but it was just as well because they didn’t need to be a part of this. I frowned wondering how much Lonnie knew. He seemed like a good person; I couldn’t fathom him knowing that Wade was guilty and still trying to defend him. Loyalty was a big thing for Lycans I knew that. It should have been a big thing for humans too, but Lycan’s handed out death sentences for certain betrayals. It made it a bit more of an incentive to not betray anyone.

‘I wished he felt some sort of loyalty to me.’ I thought as I looked at him. He was talking but I couldn’t hear a word he was saying as he put things down and motioned with his hands to explain whatever it was that he was explaining. All I could think about was the kisses we shared. The gentle way he treated me when we were in bed together. How happy he looked as he laid there holding me, as if it was all he wanted to do.
