Chapter 13: Don't Look Down

“So, when do you plan on telling me…I don’t know…anything?” Ollie said to me as we stood in my apartment. I was standing by my kitchen sink, with a small glass of witches Mead next to me. I ripped the bandages in my hand in half, wishing it something sturdier so I take my frustration out on something.

“Ollie, I really am not sure what you mean.” I said in a bored tone, looking down at the bandages and then soaking them in peroxide. I didn’t have any medical training, but I had been pouring peroxide on all my ailments for years. I frowned looking over at the tube of antibiotic cream hoping that it would be enough.

“Um, not that I mind coming to grab you daringly and handsomely from the clutches of death, but you didn’t tell me that your bounty was a hottie?” he said with a happy grin and a jump, making his lime green suit move and I shook my head.
