A Tale of Creation

Watch as Ananta grows his universe and the trials he must overcome. The first chapter is kind of a meh but it'll get better. This is my first go at writing a story, I truly hope you like it. The synopsis is also meh but it's whatever. I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com as well (Cover art made with ai)

Meeting between Races [Updated]

Yggrinthil's POV

It's been thirty years since my creation. My family and I settled in the middle of the northern continent, as it was abundant with nature. As the leader of my race, a title bestowed upon me by Gaia, our mother, I was the main defender of my people and Genesis. This was a heavy burden, but I knew my family would be there to carry me along the way.

The Ulesins, the first mortals created by the All-Father, Ananta, Creator of the Realms, had been spreading across the northern continent at an alarming speed, even making contact with one of my descendants, Necro, a treant who was exploring outside of the boundary of the territory. Being the first time they had ever seen a treant, they responded with hostility toward him, using their swords to slice him and the pitiful mana they could move to attack him. Who am I to blame them? If I saw a giant tree walking towards me, I would arm myself too.

Necro was shocked by their aggression, as this was the first time in his 5-year life that he had ever experienced this. However, as the first race the mother god Gaia had ever created, how could he be weak even as a child? Nature beckoned to his call as mana surged like a wave out of him. Trees and vines grew as the 10 Ulesins were entangled by them.

"Why have you attacked me?"

Even though five-year-old Necro, who stood at 10 meters, showed incredible intelligence, even among his brothers and sisters.

Shocked by this wooden being speaking the same language as them, they looked at each other in confusion. They stayed like that for a few seconds before a middle-aged ulesin, probably the leader of this group, spoke.

"We mean you no harm, great being; we were just shocked by your presence."

Squinting his eyes, which caused a jolt from the ulesins, Necro stared at them.

"I am no great being. Only my father, Yggrinthil, as well as the gods, could be that."

Shocked by Necro's statement, the Ulesins looked at each other. While that was happening, I contacted Necro via a mind link, as it is called "Necro bring them to the colony." Necro, startled by my sudden request, asked,

"Are you sure, father, wouldn't that bring trouble to our people?"

"I am the strongest creature in the mortal realm besides the elder dragons, boy, and even they wouldn't face me without at least having half their population destroyed as a consequence of their actions, so who would dare trouble my family?!" I chuckled.

Turning around, Necro addressed the still-shocked ulesins, "My father wants to meet you, and no, you don't have a choice."

Running towards the colony, Necro dragged the ulesins with him. After a few minutes, he arrived at what seemed like a normal part of the forest before walking through a barrier that rippled as he entered, dragging along the ulesins he captured.

Middle-aged Ulesin POV

Going through what seemed to be a ripple, a bright light filled my eyes before settling, revealing what I would call a hidden kingdom. Strange beings filled my vision as I could see giant beings just like the one that captured us, along with ulesin-like beings that had plants on them; there were even beasts I had never seen before sleeping or running around the place. What was even more amazing was the gigantic tree that stood at the center of this kingdom. As our capturer walked along a path leading to the tree, these creatures stopped and looked at us before continuing whatever they were doing as if they were not shocked by our presence.

As we arrived before the tree, our capturer kneeled before saying, "Father, I have bought them as you asked."

Suddenly, a voice filled with authority spoke, "Well done, my son. Now go back to your activities." "Yes, father."

Looking at the tree, a face formed. Looking at it, it said, "Hello Duncan, I am Yggrinthil, the leader of my species, the First son of Gaia."

Listening to this being, no to Yggrinthil, I was surprised at him knowing my name; however, what shook me to my core was his last statement, "the First son of Gaia," Gaia as in the god Gaia.

"Yes, Gaia, daughter of Ananta, the protector of the Mortal Realm."

"Wait, was he—never mind, this is too much information, and I can tell I wasn't the only one shocked by this information," as I stared at my companions.

"All mighty Yggrinthil, I would like to ask why you summoned us, if your Lordship would be so kind as to answer," as I knelt.

"Stand up, child. I was simply asked by Gaia herself to deliver a message to the Ulesins that other races have been made in Genesis, and seeing that you are a knight of the largest kingdom in the Northern Continent, though you're more like a town, as such, news would spread fast, don't you think?" he chuckled slightly.

"New races," I thought before snapping out of it; this wasn't the time nor the place. "Lord Yggrinthil, thank you for your time, but I would like to leave and inform my kingdom."

"Yes, you may leave," and as soon as he was finished, we were transported to the edge of the forest, looking directly at our kingdom.

"Well, that was something," a brown-skinned ulesin named Jaraiah said as he started to shake.

"Yes, yes, it was." As I stared at the kingdom, I held my chest while thinking of relaying this information to the king.

Gaia's POV

"Well, that went well," I thought as I watched the first meeting between races.

However, I couldn't help but wonder, as I looked up at the stars in the Mortal Realm, what would come next for the realms. I was hoping that whatever it was would lead to a brighter future.

Then, it was as if Fate had punched me in the face, as all of a sudden, the realm shuddered.

BOOM!

A golden streak zoomed across the realm.

How dare you!

Hearing the voice filled with rage, I recognized it immediately; it was Father's.
