Chapter 21: B rank in all stats

Ren looked in the mirror in his gym room.

Right now, he was done with his shower, wore his clothes, and pulled the hood up over his head. He was about to leave the gym.

He kept turning his head around and looking intently.

'It's true that I'm quite good-looking, but…' Ren thought to himself.

No matter how he thought, he felt like he wasn't that outrageously handsome type… Those ones that can make a girl weak in the knees by just a casual look. Don't even mention if they ran their hands through their hair…

But then how did Robin end up like that? It didn't make any sense.

'Did I perhaps miss something here?' He kept wondering.

Robin… She wasn't someone who would do things halfheartedly and just casually.

As such, she must have some reason. He didn't think it was because she liked him though.

The time was just too short for that. They hadn't dated or even gone out together.

But they had already reached such a state?

But there was also the option that she might just be attracted to him.

'I can't deny that thought too' He was perplexed at this situation, but also undeniably pleased.

One of his favorite characters from the anime one piece, who became real in this world had just given him a BJ.

But he also felt like he needed to talk with Robin at this moment.

He sighed before fixing his clothes a bit and then going out of the gym.

This gym wasn't too far from his house, so he always walked back. And it would also give him a bit of time to reflect on what to do from now on.

Robin trained at his gym, so he would see her again very soon.

'What should I do at that time?' He asked himself.

If what happened today had not occurred, he wouldn't have this problem at all.

But it did, and now he had various wild thoughts going in his mind. Ranging from a simple thought of calling her and apologizing for sort of just being rough, to catching up to her and continuing on where they started and moving to the next step.

He shook his head.

'This is going out of hands…' He felt like this was quite weird for him.

That last thought was just out of place.

'Greet her casually as if nothing had happened? Ask her out? Or apologize?' Even though she was the one who started it, he couldn't help but feel like it was due to him.

But just as he was having these thoughts he remembered something. It was what his first trait did, and he suddenly had an epiphany.

It must be responsible for this.

Granted it didn't do anything like influencing them or something, but it brought the hidden desires one has to the surface.

If a girl looked at Ren with interest, then his trait just kind of starts to show off Ren and what he could possibly offer.

Ren finally knew what was happening and why this event occurred today.

He shook his head for now as he crossed the road once the sign was green.

'Next time, I'll explain properly to her what had happened… She must be wondering what was wrong with her' He thought to himself.

The poor guy didn't know, that it was much more than that. While his trait did do something, it was merely bringing out her true feelings.

But her body on its own just felt extremely attracted to him.

Like he was a beacon of warmness promising her the future. There was just something special about him, that even he didn't know, and it wasn't his traits.

In the first place, traits were a result of the innate abilities of the soul manifesting.

As to his thoughts and worries, they were unfounded.

Since while she felt attracted to him, her thoughts were her own. At the very most, his trait just kept tempting her with the delicious time she could have if she jumped on his lap.

Ren just felt like the next time they meet up might be quite awkward.

Ren ignored all the thoughts for now.

He had reached his house while he was thinking deeply.

Instead of going towards his apartment though, he headed to Isaki's.

Knock, knock

After a bit, the door opened and Rina could be seen running around inside the house.

"Hello, auntie" Ren greeted her politely, but also with familiarity.

Rina's mother, Isaki, stood at the door. And upon seeing that it was Ren she left the door open for him and went back inside.

"Ren, you're back. Just in time too, help me set the table, please. Rina go wash your hands"

Ren smiled and then stepped inside after taking off his shoes and wearing slippers he grabbed from the cabinet next to the door.

"Yes," He replied, momentarily forgetting his troubles.

"You're really hardworking Ren, haha" Her voice came from behind the counter as Ren stepped inside.

He smiled as he watched Rina play around.

"I just don't want to laze around doing nothing" Ren replied briefly.

Isaki hummed.

"You're quite impressive. Even though I was hard working in the past, even I didn't train as intensely as you Ren" She chatted with him as she cooked.

Ren chuckled.

He then moved about setting the plates, putting the bread aside, filling the water bottle, and even guiding little Rina to wash her hands.

"Come little Rina, I'll help you" He smiled at her.

But the little mischievous child ran around him.

"Big brother, big brother, catch me, hehe" She giggled as she circled around him.

'Cute'

Ren smiled and played with her a bit.

Isaki saw this from the counter and smiled in happiness. This scene filled her with warmth.

Ren played a bit before he finally helped Rina.

"Auntie, let me help you too," He said.

He then helped Isaki fill the plates and they sat down for a nice lunch.

"So, Ren, how was your day?" Auntie Isaki asked him as she forked a piece of meat and chewed on it.

Three weeks had passed.

Unlike what Ren had thought at first, Robin didn't come back to the gym for a while.

But it was not due to him, as they did share a phone call.

She had sounded embarrassed and had told him to forget it for now until they met again and talked face to face.

But she was busy these few weeks, as it turned out the number of gates opening up randomly had increased and she couldn't keep lazing around.

She was part of hero agency, and they worked together on this crisis.

Ren had become alert at the time he heard that, but he remembered the number of heroes that were present in the city and relaxed somehow.

Still, he didn't stop going to the gym. His daily routine continued on as usual, and he wasn't planning to stop it just yet.

And his dedication paid off.

'Shall I give Robin a call?' Ren thought to himself.

He didn't have any friends yet in this world apart from her. So, if he wanted someone to chat with he used to call her.

Today just like normally, Ren was working his bum off in the gym.

Of course, Robin didn't come.

*Fuah* *Fuah*

He was pushing a sled full of massive weight, that would be quite impossible to push for ordinary people.

"Ugh," His hand muscles were stretched and contracted as he exerted himself to push the sled.

Once he reached his last rep, he stood up and grabbed a bottle of water.

He was taking a thirty seconds break.

'No. She must be quite busy'

He nodded to himself before he got back to the work and grabbed the sled again.

Just when he had done a few reps with it, his body was washed in warmness all of a sudden and he stopped.

He let go of the sled and clenched his fist as he enjoyed the feeling.

His tiredness and fatigue vanished in a second.

This was a feeling one only had when their stats increased.

Strength would flood their bodies and they would feel stronger than before.

Ren suddenly became happy as it always felt good when his status changed. It meant his hard work was paying off.

He brought his status panel to see. His eyes containing boundless excitement.
