S2 Chapter 3

We're all standing in front of the starting line, waiting for the green light. "Begin!"

I take out my wings careful not to hurt anyone and fly over everyone. I would have run like everyone else, but I don't want to get trampled by people. So I end up leaving them all far behind.

"Rose has taken the lead! But will she keep her spot? The first obstacle is coming up!" Yelled Mr.Moostash

I see the robots from the entrance exams. I fly over them, not wanting to defeat them and make things easy for my opponents.

"And she flys over them! So anti-climatic!" He yelled

After I pass the robots, I decide to run for a bit. I finally get to the next obstacle.

"Rose has finally made it to "The Fall"!"

Hmm...should I fly over this or make this interesting? You only live once.

I fly into the air and jump on top of the pillars one by one using my wings. It's actually fun.

I make it past the pillars and to the final obstacle.

"Still in the lead, Rose has made it to the "Minefield"!" yelled Mr. Moostash

I jump onto one of the bombs. It goes off and throws me into the air. I catch myself before falling. This is fun. It's like a trampoline.

I jump on them and fly into the air until I get bored. I look back and see all the other contestants are having a hard time getting through because of all the bombs I set off. Whoops.

Todoroki and Bakugo are catching up with me. They kinda look scary so I fly away in fear. When I look back I see Midoriya at the very back collecting bombs. What is he-? Oh, I see. Since he's so far back he's going to set off a bunch of bombs together and use them as a catapult. Cleaver Piglet.

Midoriya catchest up to me. I fly beside him. "Hey, you're a flying pig! Haha! Though it looks like your losing momentum." I tell him as he's falling down

I watch as he's about to set off another bomb. I better get out of the way. I think to myself as I fly further ahead to avoid the blast.

Midoriya makes the other two boys fall and runs past them. I fall back and run besides Midoriya. "Hey, can you go first. I don't like attention." I ask him

"Eh, what?" He asks, out of breath

"Don't worry. I'm right behind you." I tell him

I overhear the 2 teachers talk about our class.

"Eraser Head, your students are amazing!" Yelled Mr. Moostash "What the heck are you teaching them?"

"This has nothing to do with me." Says Mr. Aizawa "Each of them is powered by their own drive to succeed."

"There ya have it. Eraser Head is a terrible teacher."

"I'm what?"

I laugh at them as Midorya and I pass the finish line.

"Izuku Midoriya is our first place winner!"

I stop next to a tired Midoriya. "Good job out there. That catapult with the bombs was amazing!"

"Thanks, but you're not even winded and got second place. That's more impressive than what I did." He said with a slight blush

"Yeah, but I just flew over everything, so I don't think it counts for me," I said kinda embarrassed from his praise.

People started to finish up the race after a short time.

"Deku! That was amazing!" Yelled Uraraka

"Thank you"

"I can't believe you got first place, I'm jealous," she said breathing heavily

"Uh! It was nothing!" Midoriya said embarrassed

He got a look in his eyes. Oh no, Looks like he's doubting himself.

"Hey, Midoriya, stop doubting yourself." I tell him "What you did was pure skill. Remember what All Might said, 'There's a difference between being lucky and deserving. One's an accident and the other a reward'. What you did out there was not an accident. You are insanely smart and I know you will be an amazing Hero."

"Rose, thank you! I really needed that. And I know you will make an awesome Hero too!" He tells me with a wide smile

"Thanks!"

The next few minutes were of me thinking *When am I going to eat?* oh and Pretty Lady told us that the Calvary Battle was next.

"Now, you've got 15 minutes to build your teams. I recommend you get started." Pretty Lady told us.

I looked around and saw people already forming teams. My wings will hurt anyone who is under or above me if I fly. I would also rather be on my own. I'll go ask If I can be on my own team.

I walk up to Pretty Lady and say "Um, excuse me, Pretty Lady? I was wondering If I could be on a team of my own. I have wings so I can stay in the air."

"There does seem to be an odd amount of students...and you called me pretty...okay, yeah. Sure. Why not? Just don't touch the ground or you will be disqualified." She replied

"Thank you! I won't " I promise her

As I'm walking back, I'm stopped by Uraraka and Midoriya. "Rose! Will you be in our team?" Uraraka asked

"Sorry, but I just got permission to go solo. Nothing personal, it's just that my wings will only hurt the people in my team and I'll be useless. Why don't you ask Iida?" I ask

"We did. But he already chose to be on Todoroki's team." Midoriya said

"That sucks. I'm so sorry. If you still don't have another teammate by the end of the time, I'll be on your team.' I said

"Thank you, Rose"

By the end of the fifteen minutes, Midorya and Uraraka have found two more teammates.

I put on my headband and wait for the game to begin.
