Chapter 12: It Wasn’t Anything Romantic?
As her alarm clock went off, Haley flailed for her new phone, trying desperately to smack it into silence, even though her eyes were half closed.
Last night’s party had been long, stressful, and left her with a strange mix of excitement and guilt. Not only was she a secret agent, she was now trying to start a secret relationship with one of her targets!
As if the stress of almost getting outed by Luna Selena hadn’t been enough, she decided to continue to pursue Remus?
It wasn’t anything romantic, yet, but the problem was the ‘yet’. She shouldn’t even be contemplating the ‘yet’, but she was!
Why couldn’t she stop thinking about Remus? No matter how hard she tried, it was like there was something physically tying them together. That was ridiculous though, something like that was nothing but fairy tale stories of true love.
