Synopsis

[ON A BREAK] "He may have forgotten her, but who said, love didn't remember?" When the Lormeians, the people blessed with powers, and the Mortales, the regular people, finally find truce after a long-fought war, the order is disrupted when a rebellious group of exiles, determined to take down, both groups, and rule Laverne on their own, avenge them in a war. In this chaos, will two souls ever find peace? "She had learned to survive so many times, that she had forgotten to live." Rosabella Agapov, the girl that could erase memories, is chosen to rule the Lormeians after the mysterious death of their previous king. With no connection to the royal world, she is thrown into a society that looks down at her, right from the beginning. What happens when this war is the only chance for her to prove herself worthy of being the queen? Will she choose her people? Or falter at the sight of her supposed-to-be mortal enemy, her first love? "He had fought so many battles within himself that his soul had no blood left to bleed." Hale Underwood, the heir to the forgotten Morale kingdom is chosen as the King after the separation. After years of being brainwashed that the Lormeians were his sworn enemies, he is forced to work with Rosabella to save his kingdom. But what happens when flashbacks of a girl he doesn't know haunt him late at night? Will he overcome his hatred and work with the one person who can save his kingdom? Or will he get consumed by his own darkness? "This hate of ours is making my heart beat a little too fast, my mouth dry up a little too much and my head swoon too quick. Is this what they mean, when they say, there is a thin line between hate and love?" Amidst exchanging curses and scowls at each other, will they end up exchanging their hearts? Read the book and find out what happens when sworn enemies taste love.

Chapter 1AN EXCERPT

The competition had just gotten even more intense. I looked at my opponent, and she seemed familiar, but no matter how hard I thought I just drew a blank about where I had seen her before.

Not as the Queen of Lormeians, but just her.

I decided to leave this aside and concentrate on my target. I was known to be second to none and I planned to keep this record. I had heard that she was new to archery, so that was just the icing on the cake. In contrast to combat duel which I knew she wasn't going to back down. The buzzer went off as we both positioned our bows.

Once we were ready I started shooting the arrows.

This bow had been my steady partner all these years, safe at my side. The arrows it launched flew straight and true, right on the target. I looked at Rosabella and saw her arrow right at the target too. She smirked at me, as if she was telling me, "Get off your high horse, Hale." I chuckled at how childlike I sounded right now.

The buzzer rang once again, indicating the rest time. I walked past her to get to my bench. As our shoulders brushed she whispered, "I know who you are. And your dirty tricks aren't going to land you the upper hand in this. I may be a woman, but I'm going to prove that I'm better than you."

And for the first time in my life, I got cold feet from a weapon that taught me how to walk in life.

Betrayed by Blood, Claimed by the Alpha

“P-please let me go..” I stammered and before I knew it, I was word vomiting while crying. “—I won’t return. You won’t ever see me again. I know you don’t want me as a mate. You hate me, so please let me go.” I cried out. Cain’s jaw tightened with each word that left my lips “What gave you the idea that you have the power to choose what you want?” His voice was low, “You don’t get to decide what, how, and when you leave. Only I get to do that. You don’t get to leave me, you don’t get to run! You only leave when I want you to.” "I didn’t ask for this,” I whispered, trembling. “I didn’t ask to be your mate.” Cain stepped back, “Neither did I,” he muttered under his breath. “But the bond doesn’t give us a choice, does it?” ~~~~ As the only child of her late Alpha father, Avery Jae was meant to inherit her family’s legacy. But on the day of her arranged marriage to Alpha Lucian, her world crumbles. Rejected, humiliated, and cast aside for her own cousin, Avery barely escapes with her life only to find out a much deeper secret. One that changes everything. When Avery awakens, she finds herself in a foreign land, caught by the ruthless guards of the Vehiron pack, led by the infamous Alpha Cain. Tall, broad and as dangerous as the army he commands. Alpha Cain has a reputation that sends chills down the spine of even the most dangerous warriors. Haunted by his dark past, he has vowed never to take a mate, yet the moment he lays eyes on Avery, everything changes. With a single word, Avery is bound to Cain—whether he wants it or not. In a world where betrayal runs deep, can Avery ever trust the alpha who might just be her worst enemy.
