The Door That Never Closes.

Even though Ashkan knew that running to the Pharaoh was going to take him nowhere, he still did. He ran on top of his lungs, everything going around him in a blur. Everything was going so slowly that he felt that he was the only one moving, he even barely noted that he has arrived at his destination.

He crossed his fingers hoping that he would find the Pharaoh inside. He took in a deep breath to make for all those that he didn't take during his sprint. Despite the lack of air that was going through to his head, he still found it in him to knock first on the door and not burst inside while holding up his letter.

"Come in," Ashkan heard the familiar raspy voice of the Pharaoh coming from the other side.

He took another deep breath while clearing his throat, he took a moment first to arrange his thoughts before opening the door. The last thing that he would want was to embarrass himself in front of the Pharaoh by biting on his own tongue.
