Once the battle was over, when Hazti and his warriors had reached the Array and sent out their message, life changed in drastic fashion.
Humans came to them the same day, laden down with supplies and medicine, contrite. Srahuni took over the immediate fallout, directing the humans back to a safe distance, where the Caniean wouldn’t come to harm, even by accident. His second managed to get some answers out of the humans. One in particular named Tom.
Tom was a Commander, in a way, of human warriors. He wasn’t the highest Commander either. Those ones were on Earth. Tom’s, and the humans’, new orders were to fix what trouble they had caused and to help the Caniean. More humans were above Ilmare in a ship, waiting to come down, though these were extra humans.
The original humans, the old Commanders, had been taken back to Earth. Aleledai was thankful for that. Tom stayed, because he was new when the battle started. Barely on Ilmare for a month, according to Srahuni.
