Chapter 11: The Visit
The following day was pretty dull compared to the previous two. Raven and I met for breakfast; she ran her mouth about Bryce, trying her best not to make eye contact with Dakota whenever he entered the room.
Thankfully, there was an empty apartment next door, so I didn’t have to offer him a place to stay. I could've sworn there were no vacancies in my building, but knowing my dad, he probably paid the former resident to move elsewhere.
After breakfast, I had class and worked my shift at the bookstore. Of course, my mind was on Nicholas the whole time. I wanted to know how the conversation with his dad went. There was no doubt that he had spoken to him about why they got cursed. Nicholas may have been upset at me, but I had faith we would get past it, but how would we with Dakota following me everywhere I went?
