Mere acquaintance

"But bro!! At least tell me where have you been?"

Asher: For the last time, I am telling you Easton..I had some important work alright now..leave me alone I have a splitting headache!

Easton sighed his brother wasn't in a good state since this evening when he returned.. He wondered what must have taken place for him to be so irritated..his brother had the nature of concealing his feelings and keep quiet but today it was as if something was troubling him.. That's why he was getting annoyed with him today... Well he had to at least wait for his brother to stabilize..

Now that he knew his brother was back, he jumped out of the window as he flew out to meet his something important.

Asher lied on his bed, maybe he shouldn't have allowed himself to get close to him. This will only make his heart bleed. Aanya had everything..and wasn't a bastard like he was.. Constant reminders that he was illegitimate made him even more colder. He was certain that Aanya didn't feel anything for him after all she would want powers like everyone else why would she be interested in him. He closed his eyes and a drop of tear fell down his cheeks..he had to also meet her tomorrow itself..

The next day,

Aanya got ready extremely quickly and without having breakfast set off. Even though she was quite hurt last evening she consoled herself saying that maybe he was tired. Aanya couldn't but think of him every time wait was this love..she didn't even felt that for Sebastian back then.

She immediately went to the water realm, she breathed deeply before entering the palace. Thank god she was invisible otherwise these guards wouldn't allow anyone to enter. She widened her eyes as she walked, tve palace was extremely beautiful..with Ice cystals present.

She started going into the rooms she badly wanted to find Asher but didn't know how to and if they would see her they might punish her for trespassing.

Finally she entered the room of Asher. The latter was facing the window. She glanced at the room, it seemed as if maybe his choice was really simple.

She made herself visible,

Feeling someone's presence,

Asher: Easton I told you to leave me alone.

Not hearing any response, Asher turned and his eyes met hers..still no one could sense that both of them hadn't slept since last night.

Asher: Aanya..you!

Noticing himself going weak, he immediately turned himself serious suppressing his feeling of holding her in his arms and say to her how much he missed her.

"What are you doing here?"

Aanya was expecting him to be happy to see her but it was as if she was just a sort of work which had to be done.

Aanya: I..We had to..look into your realm's.

Asher, cutting her off

Asher: But you should have waited in the hall, why are you here? Don't you know this?

Aanya lowered her head,

Aanya: I..I am sorry..

Asher felt guilty because he didn't mind her coming here or anything..but now.

Aanya: So..should we go to see the Gods pr Goddesses?

Asher nodded: Hmm, come with me..

Aanya walked beside him, his heart was waiting for him to talk to her but he wasn't which pained her deeply. Was he feeling nothing? Was this a one sided love? She sighed as she looked away also..

"Woah...Bro she!"

Aanya raised her eyebrows, this was his brother Easton.. She smiled at him..

Easton: Salutations..You are the ruler of the fire realm right?

Aanya nodded

Easton: I am so happy to see you I know you have a great friendship with my brother..

Aanya looked at him while he was still not paying attention to her.

Aanya: Not a great friendship just mere acquaintance and..I am here for some official work.

Asher felt his heart clenching but he had to accept this after all they have been knowing wach other for only the past month.

Easton: Fine..I won't disturb you guys.. I'll be leaving now.

Aanya: Shall we?

Asher looked at her, her eyes contained a hint of pain which immediately changed to seriousness.
