Innocent

"And that is why I believe that if we decide to make this change, we will be able to make more capital" came Dom's voice as he was in a meeting with for or five other people in the Company's boardroom.

"Which is why I need the help of every single one of you in this room, to make this great change happen" said Dom as he looked at everyone one by one.

"I am aware of how tough things are in the company and outside in the business world in general" said Dom.

"Which is why I have devised a strategy to curb such problems and all I need is..." said Dom as he was cut off by a great disturbance.

"You ungrateful offspring of mine!!!" came the voice of an angry old man as he barged into the boardroom with no care at all.

"I am so so so sorry Sir, I could not stop him, he just barged in here, even though I told him that you were busy" came the voice of the panicked secretary as she was heaving and panting, for an old man he was very fast.

Dom just sighed, he had expected this, which was why right now, he was grateful to Nine who had called him to warn him of this very unexpected visit.

"It's alright, leave him be" said Dom as he waved off his secretary.

"Okay Sir" said the Secretary as she looked relieved, it was not like she was holding down this man in the first place.

"Everyone, I apologize for the interruption" said Dom as he turned to look at his team members.

"Please all take your leave now, we will continue this discussion another time" said Dom.

"Alright Sir" said the people as they all left the boardroom one by one, until there was no one left there except for Dom and the old man who was still fuming while just standing there.

"Well a good Morning to you too Grandfather" said Dom as he sighed and he sat down at the conference table, he knew that this was going to take a long time.

"Today is not a good Morning" said the Grandfather as he sat down right across Dom.

"What did she say to you this time??" asked Dom as he sighed, he knew that there was only one other woman that could make this man as angry and as rattled up as he was right now.

And that woman was none other than his so called wife.

"Nothing, she said absolutely nothing to me!!" said the Grandfather as he looked very angry.

"She was even angry at me, which was the first time that she had ever been like that to me" he said.

"So hostile and angry" he said sadly.

"That is truly a first" said Dom.

"Yes, yes it is, which is why I came over here to ask you what you did to her??" asked the Grandfather as he pointed an accusing finger at Dom.

"How is this my fault???" asked Dom as he could not believe this.

"Of course it is your fault, I have never seen her so broken before, and she even denied me access to see my great granddaughter" said the Grandfather.

"And of course it is only you that can make her that sad, so tell me what you did!!" he asked as he looked at Dom with an accusing gaze.

Dom just sighed, it was always like this, he was his actual grandson after all, and yet he always defended Natasha no matter the situation.

"Grandfather, I cannot believe that you just barged into this place while I was in the middle of a meeting to come talk to me about that woman" said Dom as he sighed.

"Do not call her that you silly boy" said the Grandfather in an angry tone.

"Grandfather, I will call her whatever I want, you do seem to forget that this is a place of work, and you cannot just barge in here anytime you feel like doing so" said Dom sternly.

"And you forget that this is my company, Mine too, you ingrate grandson of mine" said the Grandfather.

"It was mine first, and then I passed it to your father, and now it's yours, so don't you dare speak nonsense about me in MY own company that I built up from scratch" said the Grandfather.

"So I can come over here whenever I deem fit" said the Grandfather.

Ernest White, founder of the company A-Corp that was mainly into importing and exporting, he was a hard man and an authoritative, he would never take no for an answer, his white hair and old face was not to fool you, he was still as hard as ever.

"Fine Grandfather, Fine!" said Dom as he sighed, he knew that he was going to get nowhere trying to argue with this Grandfather of his.

"So what exactly do you want me to do??" asked Dom as he held his head and he sighed as he looked at his Grandfather.

"I want you to go back home and talk to Natasha" said Ernest.

"And don't you dare give me any of that, "I'm busy" nonsense" he said.

"But Grandfather I truly am busy" said Dom.

"You put me in charge of this company, and except you don't want this legacy of yours to go down the drain, please let me continue with work, till it's actually time to close" said Dom.

"Wow, what a grandson, you are very skilled in turning my words against me" said Ernest.

"But fine, anyway, it's alright, I will let you work" he said.

"*Sigh*" said Dom as he sighed, here he was at thirty years old and his Grandfather could still trouble his life very well, most of his mates had already attended their own Grandfather's funeral, but his was still here alive and kicking, because God had blessed them with long life in their family, to which Dom was starting to regret just a tiny bit.

"You are wishing that I would die aren't you??" asked Ernest as he looked at Dom, he did not even looked amused at all.

"I do not need to answer that Grandfather, you know me too well" said Dom as he laughed.

"Yes, of course I do, and sorry my boy, I will not be doing you that favour for along time, I am going to life for as long as it takes" said Ernest.

"Grandfather, you would need to rest someday" said Dom as he laughed.

"I will only rest when you and Natasha are happy again" said Ernest.

"You know that is not possible" said Dom seriously.

"Yes, and I also know that you could have avoided all these problems you two are having if you trusted her even just a bit" said Ernest.

The cold look in Natasha's eyes would never leave his memory, she even refused that he did not coax her, before he would just say one word, and her mind would be at ease and she would smile at him, but now she would not dare look him in the eye, and that was because of his stupid grandson who could not know a truly worthy woman even if she hit him in the face, which she deserved to do.

"You of all people know why we have those Problems Grandfather!" said Dom angrily.

"What Natasha did is unforgivable, not even anything you say would make me forgive her" said Dom with bitterness.

"But I tell you that she did not do it, she is innocent, I trust her" said Ernest.

"Ha, of course you do Grandfather" said Dom as he scoffed.

"Because with all due respect grandfather, you are naïve, you trust her blindly, and Natasha was so dubious that she used that to her advantage" said Dom, his grandfather had always like Natasha, which was why she was able to do what she did with no remorse at all.

"I tell you she is innocent!!" said Ernest.

"And I say otherwise, Michael has investigated over and over again, and you know he is the most trustworthy person to do such" said Dom.

"And there is even video proof, of her doing what she did, so stop trying to convince me Grandfather, because It will never work, I will never forgive Natasha, Never!" said Dom in anger.

Ernest kept quiet, he could not refute Dom, he himself had carried out a personal investigation on the matter, and all results led back to Natasha being the mastermind of it all, but Ernest could not believe that, he just could not, his Natasha was innocent.

"Grandfather... as much as I respect you I will not let you force me into something I do not want to do" said Dom.

"You have already done that once, and I will not let you do it to me again" said Dom, it was because of his Grandfather that he was in such a big mess with Natasha.

"I see my son" said Ernest as he stood up with his walking stick in his hand.

"You do have every right to be angry, it is your marriage after all" said Ernest.

"All I ask is that you speak to Natasha and nothing more" he said sadly, this broke his heart.

"I will take my leave now" he said as he walked out of the boardroom door, leaving Dom who sighed heavily and he looked out the window, this was never the way he imagined his life.
