One month later.

Joy hurriedly ran upstairs while holding a bunch of coloured papers and two scissors that she got from Alfred as she ran to her mother's office and she opened the door when she saw Lia sitting in her mother's office looking at her reflection in a little mirror in her hand.

"Hello Aunt Lia" said Joy as she walked into Natasha's office with the papers and scissors in her hands.

"Oh hello my princess, how are you?" asked Lia as she closed the mirror in her hand and she looked at Joy as she smiled.

"I am very good Aunt Lia, and how are you?" asked Joy as she smiled.

"I am good too princess, thank you for asking" said Lia as she smiled and Joy walked to Natasha's desk as she could not see her anywhere, so she put the papers on scissors on her mother's desk.

"Aunt Lia, do you know where my mommy is?" asked Joy as she looked at Lia.

"Oh yes my princess, she stepped out a moment ago" said Lia as she smiled.

"Do you know when she will be back?" asked Joy.

"I'm not sure princess, she was talking with someone on the phone" said Lia.

"Okay" said Joy as she climbed on her mother's seat as she was going to wait for her.

"Why are you looking for your mommy princess?" asked Lia as she smiled.

"I was going to ask her to help me" said Joy.

"Oh, do you have homework princess?" asked Lia as she smiled and Joy nodded.

"Miss Honey said that we should all make Valentine's day cards for everyone in our class because tomorrow is Valentine's day, I was going to ask me mommy to help me make them, and cut them out since I am not allowed to use scissors, and Alfred gave me these coloured papers" said Joy as she smiled.

"Oh well princess, I can help you" said Lia as she smiled.

"You can?" asked Joy as Lia stood up.

"Of course I can princess" said Lia as she smiled and she walked to where Joy was sitting.

"I can help you draw the cards and cut them out" said Lia as she smiled.

"But I want my mommy to help me first" said Joy.

"I understand princess, but she's not here right now, I don't know when she will be back" said Lia as she smiled.

"Besides I don't think that..." said Lia as she took a pause.

"That what Aunt Lia?" asked Joy as she looked at Lia.

"Oh don't mind me princess, I shouldn't say it" said Lia as she laughed, she and her big mouth.

"No Aunt Lia, tell me, is it something important?" asked Joy.

"Well yes princess, it is important in a way" said Lia.

"Then tell me Aunt" said Joy as she was curious.

"Well princess… the thing is" said Lia as she caressed Joy's hair.

"Your Mommy doesn't like Valentine's day, she actually hates it, I don't think that she would want to help you make the cards" said Lia as Joy was confused.

"But why doesn't she like Valentine's day?" asked Joy in nothing but confusion.

"Oh princess, I can't tell you that, I would get in trouble, but Valentine's day doesn't sit well with your mommy" said Lia as Joy didn't say anything.

"I can help you though, I love Valentine's day" said Lia as she smiled and Joy looked at her.

"Okay Aunt Lia" said Joy as she nodded her head.

"Yayyy, we are going to make these cards so pretty" said Lia as she took a coloured pen from Natasha's desk.

"How many cards do you have to make princess?" asked Lia as she smiled and Joy counted her fingers.

"I have to make 11 cards, one for all my classmates, and one for Miss Honey" said Joy.

"Alright Princess, we are going to make many pretty cards" said Lia as she smiled and Joy nodded.

"Do you want the cards to be in the shape of a heart?" asked Lia.

"Yes please" said Joy as she nodded.

"Alright princess" said Lia as she smiled and she started to draw heart shapes on the papers.

Natasha yawned as she walked back into her office when she saw Lia and Joy working on her desk.

"What's going on here?" asked Natasha in confusion.

"Mommy!!" said Joy as Natasha smiled at her.

"I have to make valentine's day cards for everyone in my class, and Aunt Lia is helping me" said Joy as she smiled and Natasha looked at Lia as she smiled at her.

"Oh that sounds nice my princess, thank you for helping her Lia" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Oh you know that I love spending time with my lovely niece" said Lia as she smiled and she cut out the heart shapes.

"You want me to help out?" asked Natasha.

"Yes Mommy, I have to cut out these ones as well" said Joy as she smiled.

"Alright my baby" said Natasha as she smiled and she walked to Joy and Joy handed her the paper and the scissors as she started to cut out the shapes.

"It's cute how everyone is going to give each other Valentine's day cards" said Lia as she laughed.

"I know right, it's very cute" said Natasha as she laughed.

"I remember when I was back in school, I always made Valentine's day cards for everyone" said Lia as she laughed.

"Of course you did Lia, I didn't even bother" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Mommy" called Joy.

"Yes my darling?" asked Natasha as she looked at Joy and she smiled.

"Why don't you like Valentine's day?" asked Joy as Natasha was surprised by her question.

"Why do you say that my darling?" asked Natasha in surprise.

"Aunt Lia said that you don't like Valentine's day, and that you hate it" said Joy as Natasha looked at Lia and Lia smiled sheepishly, she was in trouble now wasn't she.

"Why do you hate Valentine's day mommy?" asked Joy as Natasha looked at Joy.

"Oh my darling, I don't hate Valentine's day, far from It, I think that a day filled with love is wonderful" said Natasha as she smiled and she poked Joy's nose and Joy giggled.

"But does it make you sad Mommy?" asked Joy.

"No my baby, it doesn't make me sad, I don't hate it at all, it is a wonderful holiday, and I think that it is sweet that you are making cards for everyone" said Natasha as she smiled and Joy smiled.

"Alright, let's get back to making these cards, I think that they are missing something" said Natasha.

"Glitter!!" said Joy excitedly.

"That's right my darling" said Natasha as she laughed.

"I am going to go and ask Alfred for some glitter" said Joy as she got down from the chair and she ran out the door, leaving Lia and Natasha alone as Lia awkwardly smiled at Natasha.

"Why would you tell Joy that I hate Valentine's day?" asked Natasha as she did not sound pleased at all.

"Natasha, forgive me, I'm sorry, it just slipped out when she told me that she wanted you to help her with the cards" said Lia.

"Lia, you have no right to tell Joy things like that about me" said Natasha.

"I know Natasha, and I am sorry, I just couldn't help it, It's the truth after all" said Lia.

"Ever since what happened with Dom on you know what… you haven't liked Valentine's day" said Lia.

"Don't remind me of that Lia" said Natasha as she shook her head.

"I'm sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to say such" said Lia as she sighed.

"It's fine Lia, just don't do it again, Joy is little, she is innocent, she doesn't need to try to wrap her head around what her parents are yet to settle" said Natasha as she sighed.

"I'm sorry Natasha, it will never happen again, I promise you" said Lia as Natasha sighed.

"It's fine Lia, I know that you didn't mean it" said Natasha as Lia smiled.

"But sweetie, what are you going to do when Joy gets older and she starts asking about these things? About you and Dom's relationship, what are you going to do then?" asked Lia.

"Well I will cross that bridge when I get there, but for now, Joy doesn't need to feel blamed or guilty for something that it not her fault at all" said Natasha.

"I agree" said Lia.

"You still have bad memories about that don't you?" asked Lia.

"Of course I do Lia, how can I not?" asked Natasha as she sighed.

"It's not easy to forget things like that, especially when they are hard to deal with" said Natasha.

"Are you saying that because of Dom or something else?" asked Lia.

"That man means nothing to me anymore Lia, it took me several years to realize how stupid I was, no matter what, you can't force someone who doesn't love you to love you, it won't work, not at all" said Natasha as she sighed.

"Are you really sure about that Natasha?" asked Lia.

"Don't ask me about that Lia, of course I am sure, I am very sure" said Natasha as Lia sighed internally.
