Flashback From the Future XVII

"Hi princess" said Dom with a smile as he walked into the kitchen.

"Hi daddy" replied Joy.

"What are you doing?" asked Dom with a smile as he gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I'm making some pasta, Alfred is helping me make it, we have to make a dish for chef's club" replied Joy as she was dicing carrots on the chopping board as she stood on a little stool so she could reach the counter top.

"Oh that sounds nice, I didn't know that you wanted to be a chef" said Dom as he smiled and he walked to the fridge.

"I don't know… but mommy used to love cooking… even though she didn't do it much" replied Joy as she carried the chopping board and got off the stool as she poured the carrots into the pot on the stove as Dom looked at her.

"Yes… she did love cooking" said Dom as he smiled sadly.

"Do you know what her favourite dish was?" asked Dom with a smile as Joy looked at him and she shook her head.

"It was beef Stroganov, her father used to make it for her when she was a little girl, your mommy was part Russian" said Dom with a smile.

"She was?" asked Joy.

"Yes, her mother was Russian" replied Dom with a smile.

"Do you want to know the first time I tasted your mother's cooking?" asked Dom with a smile as Joy nodded and she covered the pot.

"it was when your mother and I went on a summer break vacation with your uncles, and we wanted to eat takeout, but she said it was not healthy, and she ended up making dinner for everyone, I have to say that I fell in love with her cooking" said Dom as he laughed and Joy smiled sadly.

"Daddy… did you love mommy?" asked Joy.

"Very much princess, I was just so very dumb not to treat her the way she deserves" said Dom as Joy walked to him and he carried her.

"What did you do?" asked Joy.

"I did something very stupid my princess, and I need her to forgive me" said Dom with a sigh.

"But don't ever doubt that I didn't love your mother, because I did, I loved her so much" said Dom as his words made Joy smile after such a long time.

"I love her too" replied Joy with a smile.

"Daddy… are you going to get married again?" asked Joy as she stopped smiling.

"No princess, never, what made you think that I would?" asked Dom.

"Well aunt Lia and I were watching this tv show, and the dad remarried and then his daughter got a step mom" said Joy.

"Well do you want a step mom princess?" asked Dom.

"No, I don't want one" replied Joy as she shook her head.

"I am not going to get remarried my princess, you won't get a step mom" said Dom.

"You won't have a girlfriend?" asked Joy.

"No, not at all" said Dom as he shook his head.

"Good" replied Joy as Dom laughed.

"You are the only lady in my life my princess, well except for your Aunt Lulu and your Grandma" replied Dom as he smiled.

"I won't ever want to make you feel uncomfortable, no one will take your place in my life, no one" said Dom as Joy hugged him, she had been scared that he would get a new wife and forget about her and then no one would care about her anymore.

"I love you my princess, always have always will" said Dom as he hugged Joy.

"I love you too daddy" replied Joy as Dom put her down and he smiled at her.

"Will you give me a taste of your pasta?" asked Dom.

"When I am done" replied Joy as Dom laughed.

"Alright princess" said Dom as he smiled and he ruffled her hair.

"You need a haircut princess" said Dom as he noticed that Joy's hair was growing everywhere.

"Can you I for me daddy? I don't want to go out" said Joy.

"Alright princess, I will see what I can do tomorrow" said Dom with a smile.

"Thank you daddy" said Joy with a smile as Dom walked out of the kitchen with a smile.

"Oh hi Dom" said Lia as she hugged Dom and she threw herself on him as he almost lost his balance.

"Lia?" asked Dom in surprise, he found this alarming, he never knew when she arrived, it seemed like she was always here.

"Yes silly" said Lia as she gave him a kiss on the cheek and broke their hug.

"When did you arrive?" asked Dom.

"Right now" said Lia as she laughed.

"And why are you here exactly?" asked Dom.

"Of course to come and see my lovely niece and check on you, besides, I brought some desert" replied Lia with a laugh.

"What's wrong? With the way you look and the many questions that you are asking, it makes it seem like you don't want me here" said Lia with a frown.

"No it's not like that at all Lia, I thought you were busy" said Dom.

"I always have time for you and Joy" replied Lia with a smile.

"Well in that case, you know you are always welcome here, next time just call first, I might be at the office" replied Dom.

"Noted, now where's my princess?" asked Lia with a smile.

"In the kitchen, she joined the chef's club at school and she's making some pasta" replied Dom with a smile.

"Oooh that sound fun, let me go help her" said Lia with a smile.

"Hold on Lia, let her do this on her own, it will be a great achievement for her when everything comes out well, leave her alone, come on, let's go do something else" said Dom.

"Oh well okay whatever you say Dom, I am staying for dinner" said Lia as she laughed and Dom just smiled at her.

"Dom do you remember when we were little and we got in trouble" said Lia as she laughed.

"Correction, you got us in trouble Lia, and Natasha would always try to defend you" replied Dom as Lia laughed.

"Daddy, can I go to my room, I am tired" said Joy as Dom looked at her.

"Sure princess" said Dom with a smile as Joy gave him a kiss on the cheek.

"And what about me?" asked Lia.

"Goodnight Aunt Lia, goodnight daddy" replied Joy as she gave Lia a kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight sweetie" replied Lia with a smile.

"Goodnight princess" replied Dom with a smile as Joy walked out of the living room, leaving Lia and Dom alone.

"She's just such a darling" replied Lia as she laughed.

"Mhmm right, I think you drank too much Lia" said Dom as he took away Lia's wine glass as she laughed.

"Mhmm no, Dom bring it back, I'm not drunk, just a bit… tipsy" replied Lia as she started to feel dizzy.

"You definitely drank too much, you can't drive back home like this, stay here tonight" said Dom.

"Mhmm Dom, I want to go home though, my mom would be worried" said Lia as she closed her eyes and rested her head on Dom's shoulder.

"I will call her and tell her that you will be staying here, I can't let you drive home, and the guys aren't here to drive you home" said Dom.

"Alright, thank you Dom" said Lia as she hugged him and she sighed.

"Dom" called Lia.

"Yes Lia" replied Dom.

"You know I love you right?" asked Lia as she sighed, her head was turning, she really did drink way too much.

"Yes I know Lia, you need to rest" said Dom as Lia groaned.

"No carry me, I can't move, It's spinning" said Lia as she groaned.

"You shouldn't have drank too much Lia" said Dom as he sighed and Lia groaned like a baby as he stood up and he carried her and shook his head.

"I know, I know, but the wine was too sweet, you can't blame me" said Lia as Dom carried her up the stairs and she kept her eyes closed.

"Well you should have stopped drinking it when you started to get tipsy, and now I have to carry you" said Dom.

"You wouldn't complain if you were carrying Natasha" replied Lia.

"Because Lia, Natasha wouldn't do something like this" said Dom as he opened the door to the room.

"Of course, you always pick Natasha, always" said Lia.

"Don't overreact Lia, you need to rest, goodnight" said Dom as he placed Lia on the bed and he tucked her in.

"Give me a kiss first" said Lia as she laughed and Dom shook his head.

"Goodnight Lia, hopefully you will be sober in the morning" said Dom as he switched off the lights and closed the door behind him as Lia groaned.

"It's not fair Dom, it's not fair at all" said Lia to herself.
