Bad news

The next day.

"Alright my baby, go follow your daddy, and have a good day at school" said Natasha as she smiled and she gave Joy a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Bye bye Mommy" said Joy as she giggled and she ran to Dom and she held his hand as they left, and Natasha smiled, her baby was growing up so fast, and she could not tell if she loved it or hated it.

"Ahh Madam, are you going out today as well??" asked Alfred as he walked into the dining room and he looked at Natasha who was just standing there and smiling lost in her thoughts.

"Ahh, well…" said Natasha as she snapped out of her thoughts and she turned to look at Alfred.

"Well No, I am not going out today, I am going to work from home today" said Natasha as she smiled at Alfred.

"Oh alright then Madam" said Alfred as he smiled and he cleared the dining table.

"Madam would you like something to eat?" asked Alfred as he smiled.

"No Alfred, I am not hungry now, I will eat a little later" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Alright Madam" said Alfred as he smiled and he walked out of the dining room, and Natasha smiled as she walked out of the dining room and she walked up the stairs and she walked into her office as she sat down at her desk and she sighed.

She opened up her laptop and she checked her phone as she put it down and she began to type on her laptop, since she and Chloe had ideas of expanding, she wanted to try to estimate and total the costs of construction for a new store in Lexington, and apart from that, they would have other running costs as well.

Natasha concluded that she would need to consult some specialist that were experts in this matter.

As Natasha was looking through some documents, and her phone suddenly rang as she smiled as she saw who it was and she picked it up.

"Good Morning Chloe, you were just the person I wanted to hear from" said Natasha as she laughed and she put her phone to speaker mode as she placed it on her desk.

"Haha, I am glad that I am" said Chloe as she laughed, and her voice came from the other side of the line.

"Good Morning Natasha" said Chloe as she smiled.

"How are you Chloe?" asked Natasha as she smiled.

"Well I could be better, and how are you?" asked Chloe as she smiled.

"I am doing well, same as you" said Natasha as she smiled.

"So do what do I owe this call of yours this Wednesday morning?" asked Natasha as she smiled and she closed a window on her laptop.

"Ahh well, I know that I am supposed to send you the estimation costs via email" said Chloe.

"Yes…" said Natasha.

"But I am sorry to say that I have some bad news" said Chloe as she frowned.

"Alright well, that is alright, bad news is bad news no matter what, so you can go ahead and tell me the news" said Natasha as she smiled as she sensed that Chloe was nervous.

"*Sigh*, oh thank you Natasha" said Chloe as she sighed and Natasha smiled, she liked how Chloe was always just so straightforward and honest, and most of all she was not afraid to be herself.

"Well I was going through the documents of the land in Lexington" said Chloe.

"And…" said Chloe.

"And what?" asked Natasha.

"And well, I found something that puts our plans in a tight spot" said Chloe as she sighed.

"Well it turns out that the land is not registered under the name of the business" said Chloe.

"But rather it is registered under the name of a one Mr… William Chestnut" said Chloe as she read a paper.

"Willy Chestnut" said Natasha as she sighed and she shook her head.

"Do you know him Natasha?" asked Chloe.

"Well yes, and no, not exactly" said Natasha.

"That Mr. William Chestnut is the son of the former owner, he and I have met only once, and he is not a very nice guy" said Natasha as she sighed.

"Ouch, I can just imagine" said Chloe as she knew that it was rare for Natasha to call someone not nice.

"He was not really happy with the news of my purchasing his father's company, and he did not make an attempt to hide his displeasure at all" said Natasha.

"Well then, it sounds like he won't be too happy to sell us his land either" said Chloe.

"That is the truth Chloe" said Natasha as she sighed.

"But what I do not understand is that on the business records, the land is registered at being the property of the business, and yet on land deed, it is registered under his son's name" said Chloe as she sighed and she shook her head, she considered it lucky that she decided to make sure everything was intact with the land, or else if they had went on with their plans and they started to build, they would end up facing serious legal issues.

"That my friend, is a pure case of bad accounting and bad management" said Natasha.

"In business, the business is its own entity, all its dealing must be kept within the business, but the former owner seemed to overlook that fact" said Natasha as she sighed.

"Well that means that all our plans of construction must be put on hold now" said Chloe.

"We cannot start construction on a land that is not legally ours" said Chloe.

"We might end up being sued" said Chloe.

"No we will be sued, once Mr. Chestnut finds out" said Natasha.

"I am sure that Mr. Chestnut is still upset with me for what happened last time, and he is certainly looking for a way to get even with me" said Natasha as she sighed.

"Gosh" said Chloe as she could not believe what she was hearing.

"So does that mean that we cannot go one with any of our plans to expand deeper into the market"?" asked Chloe

"Well No, not necessarily, we can still talk with Mr. Chestnut to try to reach an agreement" said Natasha.

"Which preferably for me would be to buy the land, at an reasonable price of course" said Natasha.

"Well I do agree with you, I really do" said Chloe as she nodded her head and a woman walked into her office and placed a document on her desk seeing as she did not want to disturb her on the phone.

"Alright so, for now, you can carry on with the estimates, I will handle everything else" said Natasha as Chloe smiled and waved at the woman who placed a document on her desk and the woman smiled back at her and waved as she walked away and closed Chloe's office door behind her.

"Okay Natasha" said Chloe as she nodded her head.

"Alright" said Natasha.

"Oh which reminds me, my friend the police officer, he loved your coffee a lot" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Oh really??" asked Chloe as she smiled.

"Yes, in fact, he wants to make you his personal barista, but of course I said no" said Natasha as she laughed.

"Hahaha" said Chloe as she laughed.

"That's great, I am so happy that he liked it, I thought I would be a bit rusty since it's been a long time since I've made one" said Chloe as she laughed.

"But you still got it" said Natasha as she laughed.

"I guess I do" said Chloe as she laughed.

"Alright well, I will leave you to get back to work now" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Alright Natasha, I will talk to you later" said Chloe as she smiled and Natasha ended the call.

"*Sigh*" said Natasha as she sighed and she rubbed her eyes as she picked up her phone from her desk and she dialed a number.

"Hello" said Natasha as her call was picked.

"Hello Madam, Good Morning" said Mandy as her voice came from the other side of the line.

"Good Morning Mandy" said Natasha.

"Mandy do you happen to have Mr. Willy Chestnut's phone number?" asked Natasha.

"Ahh well yes Madam, his phone number is in the company logs" said Mandy.

"Alright, that's great, please send me his phone number, I need to contact him for something important" said Natasha.

"Alright Madam, I will do so, and I will send you his number via text soon" said Mandy as she typed on the keyboard of the computer monitor.

"Great, Thank you Mandy" said Natasha as she smiled.

"You are welcome Madam" said Mandy as she smiled and Natasha ended the call.

And a few minutes later, Natasha's phone rang with a notification, Mandy had sent her Willy's number just like how she had said she would.

"Very effecient of her" said Natasha as she smiled and she picked up her phone.
