Trouble

Isac went directly to the hospital. He greeted his grandmother, pulled up a chair and sat next to her bedside. She smiled a little. Isac looked around the room.

"you're grandpa went out for a bit, but he'll be returning soon" grandma said when she noticed that Isac was looking around in search for his grandfather.

He nodded his head "Did you have your dinner? I am sorry it got a little late, heavy traffic so I couldn't join you" Isac explained. It was past dinner time when he reached the hospital to meet his grandmother.

She smiled and nodded her head in response " I know you don't have to explain! you don't worry about me, grandpa and the nurse here takes good care of me! now now, you must have a lot of work! go home and get some sleep! your grandpa will be here soon! " his grandma rushed him.

"But I just got here! And I won't leave until grandpa comes" he announced and sat there without moving.

"Are you not going to go home? "

"No"

"Then I won't sleep until you go home"

"I'll wait until grandpa gets here atleast"

"No, I'm not going to sleep"

"But I-"

Their argument was cut off in the middle when grandpa entered the room

Grandma smiled at Isac "Now that he's here you go home and get some sleep! you're always here spending your dinner time with me anyways so don't worry and go home now"

Isac couldn't argue anymore. He did say that he'll leave when grandpa comes so he had to keep his words and leave. He left the place reluctantly. Grandma knew that he didn't want to leave just yet but it'll be too late if he left later. It'll get too dark to drive at night and grandma can't help but worry about her only grandchild.

Although he didn't want to leave, he still left because he didn't want to worry his grandmother so he left obediently.

His place was just 30 mins away from the hospital but still his grandmother was worried.

Calista was just about to board the bus when her phone rang. She decided to take the call and board the the next bus. She had actually missed the bus. Probably the bus driver was a little too impatient to wait for her.

The call was from a friend, with whom she had lost contact with. She was surprised. They hadn't spoken to each other in a long time and her friend had suddenly called her.

She attended the call. "Hey Penny!" she said when she heard the line connect.

"Hi Calista. It's been a while huh?" She said

"Yes it is." Calista replied with the same enthusiasm that Penny had spoke in. She didn't sound excited or even happy to call. Calista felt dumb for she was the only one who sounded excited.

Penny and Calista had known each other for 11 years now. They went to the same high school and Calista had thought that they were pretty close but it was just her wishful thinking.

They barely spoke to each other after graduating. They met each other only during Penny's birthday each year.

"Oh so, the reason why I had called you was, Ryan wanted to meet you, and he kept asking me if I can ask you about it. He said he was near your place somewhere so I think you should be able to meet him right?" Penny spoke and that's when Calista realised that she had called her because some guy had asked her to and not because she wanted to talk to her.

Ryan was their schoolmate from high school. She wondered why he suddenly wanted to meet her.

"Well I am on my way back home from work so it will be pretty late when I reach home so maybe not today" Calista said. Yes she was gonna be late. She missed a bus on top of that so it will be very late when she gets back home. Honestly she could use a cab but she wanted to save up some money.

"Oh well I can come near your work place! I just want to meet you! " suddenly Ryan spoke from Penny's phone. So they were together and Penny had called because they were together.

Calista laughed awkwardly and said "I mean we could meet some other time too, it won't be that difficult"

"please I want to meet you I finally had the courage to meet you in person after a long time! don't worry I'll be near your work place in minutes! please don't leave I'll just meet you for once and then leave!" Ryan spoke and hung up the call without even asking if she was okay with that.

Ryan would probably know where she worked because Penny knows where she works and she must have told him. Penny also knew that Calista takes the bus so Ryan would probably come to bus station directly.

Calista could do nothing. She had to wait anyways. She had wait for another bus so she might as well be there for that Ryan guy.

She didn't feel right about this. The whole conversation over the call and now she was waiting in the bus station all alone. She was sensing some kind of trouble.

She ignored the sirens in her head and just waited.

Isac who was supposed to go back home decided to go back to his office first. He had left the file that Calista had asked for the review, back in office. He had the time to go back and get them. So he drove to his office.
