Pressure!

Calista was coming down with a splitting headache. She supported her head with one hand as she rested her head on the table. Joanna laughed slightly and said "alright i'll not pester you anymore. Do you want anything to eat? My treat!"

Calista did not have any appetite despite using all of her energy at work. All she wanted was to go home and take rest. She waved her hand "I'd love to but i'm too tired so i'll just head home and treat me sometime later" she spoke tiredly.

Joanna understood and nodded in response. "Alright go home and get some rest. I'll get going then!" Joanna stood up as she spoke. She hugged her bestfriend as she was grateful to her and bade her goodbye.

Calista saw Joanna leaving. She started to regret her decision. <Was accepting the offer the right thing to do?> Calista thought to herself but she shook her head. There was no turning back on her own words now that she had promised to help her bestfriend. She heaved a sigh got up and left the place.

She headed back home and changed into her pajamas. Just when she was about to hit her bed, someone knocked on her door. "It's open" Calista responded to the knock. A young man dressed in pajamas walked in with a cup of milk in his hand and said "Sis have some milk before you go to bed."

Calista slightly laughed and ruffled Chris' hair and grabbed the cup from his hand. "What is it Chris? Do you need something?" Calista asked suspiciously. Chris smiled awkwardly and scartched his head. He indeed had something to ask! otherwise he woudn't bother with bringing milk or being calm when his sister ruffled his hair.

"That.. Can you lend me some money? Our mototcycle broke down and i need to get it fixed...." Chris said feeling a little embarassed. Calista smiled gently, she knew why Chris was embarassed to ask her for some money. "It's alright you don't have to feel embarssed about it! I'm your sister don't forget that!' she spoke as a matter of factly. "how much do you need?" she asked.

"That.... i'll need $400... Cal i'm sorry i know that it's a lot but i don't want to ask you for some money again and again. I'll use the money for other things too so..." Calista understood. A young man definitely has to attend to his needs so she nodded almost immedietly when Chris was done talking.

"Alright alright, i understand i'll wire the money now" Calista said and wired the money immedietly. "Thank you so much Cal love you! good night!" Chris said as he went out the door and closed it behind him.

Calista sat on the bed. Suddenly she was feeling too pressured. She definitely has to do something so that they can settle down financially as soon as possible. That way she need not worry much. Calista's head was throbbing so she quickly laid down on the bed and slept immedietly.
