A Personal Hell for A Winged Killer (Draft 1)

This has now become the rough draft of a new novel I intend to submit into the spirity awards of 2023. After a lot of thinking upon the idea, I’ve come to the conclusion that my alterations to the story would be so great that I should start from scratch, and the decision has been very helpful for me, allowing me to take time to look into how my story could be deserving of the eyes of readers like you and allowing me to make myself more proud of my work. A lot of aspects such as characters and powers will remain the same, but the core of the story itself will be crucially altered, adding even more mystery and building upon the world that I’ve been creating over the past 3-4 years much better than I have been. I would like to thank everyone for their support over the time since I typed my first rendition of A Personal Hell for A Winged Killer and I hope that you’ll follow the story again a year from now under a new name(Undecided). My journey as a guy who just writes for fun to someone who’s become dedicated to the story and characters I’ve imagined wouldn’t be the same without you, so once again, I thank you and hope you enjoyed your stay. This story will remain on pause until I decide what to do with it. I was thinking of making this an alternate side story for what I intend to replace it with or to just continue to use it for reference as the new story evolves and learns from its original. Sadistic Love

A drunken man with red hair fumbled about the pool area, holding a glass upward as if it were a trophy. His chest was painted with many questionable phrases and he nearly fell over with each step, few others around him.

"Woohooo!!! Fuck YEAH--"

Parisa solely responded, seemingly familiar with the man and cutting off his obnoxious outburst.

"Fuck off, Alc, and Goodnight!"

Alc headed for the door before his eyes focused on Parisa, his face turning even more red through his perverted gaze.

"Alright... God damn--"

The door slammed into the back of his head as he exited, knocking him completely unconscious while everyone sat silently, cooling off from the event. The party was over, but something still hung with everyone, not allowing them to truly sit back and relax. Around Parisa were Sarah and Beo, not saying a word.

"You really cut it close with that one, Beo."

The door opened, and one figure stepped over Alcmene's unconscious body. It was Icarus, and he wore a t-shirt and shorts, a bag of groceries in him palm as he closed the door behind him, pushing it harder so that Alcmene's leg no longer blocked it. Icarus dropped his bag and began picking up trash.

Parisa spoke to everyone while they cleaned the remnants of the party, the pool before them. Beo sat solemnly at the outside bar without a drink while Icarus helped Parisa clean the pool that'd been colored through beer and other, unidentifiable fluids.

"We're lucky you were out for the night, Icarus. Both you and Owen dodged a bullet."

Sarah took everything that was on the floor and put it all in trash bags, saving them the trouble, and Icarus stood, staring at the wall. Beo got up and walked toward Icarus, but Parisa continued to talk, yelling toward an open window above them.

"HEY, KEM! GET DOWN HERE!"

Kem appeared immediately before Parisa, forcing her hair to flow in the direction he'd ran. He'd remained inside, the door flying open behind him as he exited to the pool behind the main building. The air was a bit tense, everyone feeling a sort of relief that something worse hadn't come from their hectic night, but something still remained, an elephant in the room.

"Sup?"

Holding back her anger, a slight accent slipped through Parisa's voice, only apparent enough to discern.

"Not again... Don't do something stupid like that again. You've almost royally fucked us all over..."

Kem didn't defend himself and, instead, listened to Parisa's words. Parisa stopped restraining her anger, letting what needed to be said be said.

"Not only did you bring her here, you lost track of her within seconds of entering the door! Icarus Kreyn, the man that, for all she knows, killed all of her family and friends, is in the household! Tell me where that makes sense!"

Kem couldn't look Parisa in the eyes.

"I'm so--"

"Sorry doesn't cut it this time! She's been slowly regaining her memories since she entered the school, and you decided to speed that process up?!"

Beo walked up to the two of them with Full-Body Takeover activated.

"That's enough. What's done is done. I won't be reporting you to Krewe this time, Kem. Just don't make these kinds of mistakes again. I know you just want things to be normal, just like the rest of us. You just need to be patient."

"I understand..."

Kem disappeared. Icarus continued to stare at the wall while Parisa walked over.

"What's on your mind?"

"Nothing. I'm going to bed."

"That's fine. I might be up for a while... A spy infiltrated the party, tonight..."

Icarus continued inside the house, disinterested. A woman with tanned skin sat on a chair, strapped to a pole above the pool. She dangled above the water, her face pouting as she'd stopped attempting to escape.

"Icarus Kreyn-ya? I've heard about a man of that name... What's he doing here-ya?"

Parisa spoke almost instantly.

"None of your business, bitch. We'll be the one asking the questions until I decide you've told us enough."

She smirked, confident.

"You can't make me."

"Funny you'd say that..."

A pink mist excreted from Parisa's body filling the air around the two of them. As she inhaled the mist, her pupils widened, and she stared blankly toward Parisa, following her every move.

The mist had given Parisa complete control over the woman, and it was evident without either of them saying a word. She hallucinated, Parisa's form changing constantly as the mist took away her freedom of thought. Sarah and Beo remained unaffected by the miasma, the mist completely avoiding them.

Parisa had a terrifying amount of control over her mist, and among others with that sort of power, she was highly considered the best, not to mention her ability of disguise and sabotage.

Parisa spoke, her voice hypnotizing. It rang through the woman's ears, echoing over and over as if forcing her mind to obey.

"Sweet girl, what's your name, beautiful."

She responded without hesitation, seemingly eager to give the information now.

"My name is Yamo Patel, ma'am, a spy..."

"A Spy, hmmm? For whom?"

"A small gang on the outskirts of Hinansho city, Miss Parisa... I-I think I love you, Miss Parisa-ya..."

She began to fidget, immediately uncomfortable with her position and seemingly trying to get closer to Parisa from above the water. Her face was a bright red, and drool seeped from her mouth in chunks.

Parisa pulled the pole toward the edge of the pool, reeling her in until she was able to touch the ground with her restrained feet. Immediately, she began violently pulling at the rope, the closely knotted rope stretching from the inhumane force being put against it. Parisa leaned toward the chair, the woman desperately trying to make contact with her.

"I love you, too, Yamo. Thank you for telling me all of these wonderful things."

Parisa kissed the Yamo on the cheek, and like a switch, she was back to normal, huffing violently as sweat poured down her face. Her bloodthirsty eyes locked onto Parisa, and her right arm swung to the side, braking free of her restraints.

"What did you do to me, you dirty bitch?!"

Parisa laughed hysterically, and she placed her high heels on the woman's chest, pushing her chair onto the ground beside the pool. She giggled to herself again as Yamo struggled, her veins straining on her face in anger. Her eyes became red, and her skin became glossy, a nasty smell coming from her body.

Sarah and Beo continued to watch as Parisa humiliated Yamo, laughing obnoxiously through the night until her stomach became sore.
