Chapter 1: The [Avery]

As Miliakos stands at the gate to the [house of horrors,] he can not but help wish that he could be free. Free to do whatever he pleases as the NPC drivers and gardeners are free to do after the first day has concluded in the game. However, he is stuck here, forever forced to serve the main leads until he earned enough [points] from his given job.

If he could earn enough points, he could switch professions to become a [game tester.] Being a [game tester] is a dangerous profession but you can quickly earn enough [points] to [level up] to an [assistant game designer] and then to a [game developer.] [Game developers] were in charge of creating plots for games and got the most freedom to live their daily lives.

So Miliakos stood at the gate with his goal of becoming a [game developer] in mind to motivate himself to continue.

The main lead's name was [Avery,] regardless if the player chose the male lead or the female lead, hence the name of the game. Every [Avery] could choose their appearance and their dialogue so long as they cleared the game. Although there were two main leads, whichever the [Avery] chose, would be a player and the other a NPC.

There were always multiple people such a popular game at a time so while Miliakos was the NPC in charge of this [server,] other NPC (with different chosen names) were in charge of other [servers.] Although the NPC's all had different chosen names, they all had one given name to go by during the game. This name was [Ben,] a basic name for a basic supporting character.

Miliakos was brought to attention as he saw a black limousine rumble up the hill.

In the game, [Avery] was a rich heir to a famous businesswoman in the technology industry named [Sara Musscia.]

[Sara Musscia] was know to be an extremely popular regular at [Ladyfinger,] a lesbian bar.

At [Ladyfinger,] she met a bartender named [Lilian Gallieno.]

[Sara] would go to [Ladyfinger] to harass [Lilian] everyday; relentlessly and shamelessly flirting in such a manner that made all the other bartenders line up to be f*cked.

Eventually, [Lilian] could no longer deny her feelings for [Sara] and they got married after 1 date. [Sara] was a businesswoman in charge of a fast-paced work environment so of course her love life would go very quickly too.

And this backstory was never mentioned in the actual game.

The [game developer] must've wanted brownie points for adding queer representation. But all that was mentioned about [Sara] and [Lilian] was the fact that they were away in another country for business.

Since their moms were away, [Avery,] being the dumb f*ck they are, decided to go to the rumored [haunted house] in [Moskk.] Their moms had always warned them to stay away from the house due to all the murders that have happened. But [Avery] always thought those were rumors made to keep unruly children in line. However, they were all true.

As the main leads encountered many horrors, they would eventually fall for each other and Miliakos would sacrifice himself for the sake of their relationship. After all, he was nothing but a supporting character.

Miliakos heard the rumble of the limousine stop as it finally reached the gates he was standing by. He stepped forward and opened the doors for the characters with his best business smile; polite yet vaguely cold.

Miliakos looked for the [Avery] and the other lead. It wasn't very hard to find them as they both had health bars with their names on top. Of course, the [Avery's] name would be [Avery] and depending on the lead they chose, the female lead would be named [Hephaestia] and the male lead, [Hephaestus.]

However, Miliakos didn't see any of these three names on top of the health bars of the two supposed players. And neither of these players looked like the preset leads.

One had a more androgenous look and was named [Ez] while the other looked like a feminine man. Their name was [Emery.]

[Ez] had shaved blonde hair and piercings decorating their ears and belly. Colorful tattoos of mermaids, unicorns, and fairies danced on their coffee colored skin; contrasting the black clothes they wore. Leather shorts, a sleeveless jean jacket, and a cropped shirt saying: I <3 Hot Moms. Their shiny black, high-heeled boots had such high heels that Miliakos couldn't believe that someone could even stand in them without falling down; much less walking. Long, pale coral nails adorned in shining silver foil sat at the end of long fingers laden with expensive-looking rings. Silver bangles wreathed [Ez's] right arm and a silver snake with emerald eyes snaked along their left arm. They looked at Miliakos with expressionless emerald eyes the same color as the silver snake's, then turned around to talk to [Emery.]

[Emery] had short black hair with a braided bit longer than the rest in front of their right ear; a seagull's feather adorning it. They had a pastel yellow, oversized crewneck and a white button-up. A short, black pleated skirt was adorned with a silver chain. It was short enough that the black shorts and garter they wore underneath were visible. On their left leg, there was a light blue-green and white striped sock that went past their knee and on their right, was a light yellow and white striped one. High-platform black boots made them an even taller giant than they already were. However, Miliakos was just as tall in his old, flowery sneakers. He could stare right into their eyes; one a blue-green, the other yellow.

[Emery] winked at him flirtatiously.

Something was wrong, the [Avery] should only be able to flirt with the other lead. But out of [Emery] and [Ez,] who was the [Avery?]

I'm debating whether I should draw Miliakos, Emery, Ez, Sara, Lilian, and the presets: Hephaestia and Hephaestus. But I have so many unfinished art pieces.

And I don't think there is a way to share art here...
