{A New Path}: Combined Might

The winds had calmed down and the giant-half dragon stood glaring at the guild. None moved, the tension was so high you could cut it with a knife. It continued like this for many minutes, at this point it had evolved into a competition of which side had the superior patience. As it turned out, the dragon won. Natsu couldn't take the standing still anymore. He opened his mouth with a fierce grin to initiate the battle.

[Fire Dragon's Roar] Natsu didn't allow their opponent any breathing room as he pressed to attack again, with Gajeel followed up with another roar of his own. Their combined might be nothing to scoff at normally, but here it did nothing more than annoy the half-dragon.

"We have to sync up our attacks or we're never going to do anything useful." Erza summoned more swords and used them to keep the beast at range.

"Everyone together! Give it hell!"

With the use of her telekinesis, she continued sending countless swords at the wingless dragon.

[Fire Dragon's Iron Fist]

"Wendy! Boost!" Panther Lily yelled while gripping his sword and expanding in size.

[Air Dragon's Roar] She reacted almost unconsciously and used her roar to boost Natsu and Gajeel in speed. They were prepared for the incoming roar and used it perfectly to propel themselves at the beast at incredible speed. In a flash their attacks landed on its body, this time opening a slight wound on its forehead.

Without letting up the pressure, Gray appeared behind the beast. With the two dragon slayers attacking its head, the backside was exposed.

[Ice-Make: Ice Hammer] His warcry grabbing the beasts attention, but it was too late for it to react. The spiked ice hammer dug into its body causing it to roar in pain, trying to shake off the ice mage.

[Ice-Make: Freeze Lancer] A giant lance appeared above him and pierced the skin of the beast with ease. He immediately realized what he'd found and yelled to his friends as loud as he could while jumping away to avoid the tale coming for him.

"Guys! Its weak spot is its back!!" He had noticed a small soft squishy part on top of the dragon and breathed in relief knowing that they might come out of this alive after all.

"Divide its attention! Heavy hitters focus on its weak spot! Range fighters, grab its attention and keep it on the defensive!

GO!!" Erza yelled out commands and cared not if the beast heard it. They couldn't afford to breathe or let up their attacks. If they gave the beast any breathing room it would wipe the floor with them. Natsu and Gajeel were still throwing attacks after attacks at its head, forcing the beast to focus on the less it wanted to close its eyes.

[Water Slicer] Juvia sent her scythe-looking blades of water slicing of the beasts to face well. She immediately earned its attention and with its claws, it swiped pushed the dragon slayers away.

"ANTS!!" Its rage could be felt for miles as the incredible jaw opened and the magic began to gather in its throat.

"ITS A ROAR!! DODGE!!" Erza yelled when she felt the overwhelming power radiating off the incoming attack.

"Oh no, you don't!!" Gajeel jumped in front of the beast's mouth and clasped his hand together and roared out. [Karma Demon: Iron God's Sword] His right hand morphed into a massive sword that radiated almost as much power as the dragon's incoming attack.

"Right behind you!!" Natsu stood underneath the beast's jaw.

[Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade]

"AAAAAHHH!!" At the same time, they attacked the jaw of the beast with their hidden techniques. Natsu attacked from below and Gajeel brought the sword down from above and together they slammed the mouth of the beast shut and caused the building magic to explode in its throat. As their attacks hit and the beasts own attack went off inside its body, the dragon's head exploded in a mass of blood and gore.

"W-We won!" Wendy stood back shaking from the intense fear running through her. only now did she allow her body to lose some of the tension it held. She visibly relaxed despite the very gory scene playing out before her. Rivers of blood flooding the ground.

"Thanks to those two idiots, it appears so. What a reckless way to win, what if the beast could have withstood their attack?" Lucy honestly didn't wanna think about it. There was no one here who could confidently say that they could stand alone against it. They all knew that this wine came from their combined might. Everyone, including the flying cats, had bombarded the beast with everything they had. In the end, it was the beast itself who caused its demise. If they had been forced to go for its weak spot they would not have been done this quickly.

"NEXT UP, LIEUTENANT!!"

"MORON!!" With a well-placed punch from Erza, Natsu was sent to visit dreamland.
