“I have to have a source to begin with.”

“How large?” Bay asked.

Dirk shrugged. “More than a match, but it doesn’t have to be in a fireplace, although that would be nice.”

Bay thumbed through the sketches the police artist had done, pulling out one. “We have liftoff.” He tapped the sketch of the main room and the fireplace along one wall. “As long as we start here, and theysaid the tunnel from the entrance leads to the main room. We do need to remember to bring something to light a fire.”

“First, we’ll have to get into it, meaning breaching the wards he has on the walls surrounding the yard and then the ones on the entrance to the tunnel,” Tonio said.

“Nope. Only the ones on the tunnel. I can get you into the yard the way I did the last time, if Lex dealswith the wards,” Felan said.

“I’ll handle any on the tunnel entrance, too,” Lex told him. “Then you and I will return here.”
