Chapter 86 - Summer Festival (1)

Chapter 86

Today is the 24th of August, a week after my encounter with Kuro. After I went back to Izu a week ago, I immediately instructed the History Compilation Committee via Natsuki to search for Kagemitsu Hazama, Kuro's father.

And yesterday, Natsuki informed me that Kagemitsu Hazama has been found in another country. It seems he left his nearly dead wife and son and went to another country with a new wife. For that reason, I could understand why Kuro hate him so much.

Still, my intuition told me there is a reason why he abandoned them just like that. Nevertheless, it won't change the fact he was cruel enough to left his nearly dead wife and son just like that.

At any rate, I instructed the people from History Compilation Committee to somehow bring Kagemitsu Hazama to Japan.

I don't know what kind of reason he abandoned them but I believe it can be easily resolved without me doing something. The history Compilation Committee is enough.

But the people who're going to bring him can not be a magician. It's because Kagemitsu Hazama currently resides in China. Which means the territory of China's Campione, Luo Hao, the second oldest Campione.

From what I heard from Alice and Natsuki, Luo Hao was a very prideful person. Also, she seems doesn't have any close relationship with any magic associations.

That's why Natsuki and Alice said it would be troublesome to bring foreign magicians to China even though I am fine with it.

Well, it's not like I need magicians to take Kagemitsu Hazama to Japan as long as the job is done. I only told them to bring him to Japan because his son wants to meet him.

Besides that, I instructed the organization to bring him to Japan tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. It's because today, the 24th of August is the day I am going to the Summer Festival with everyone. Naturally, Miyuki, Maki, and even Ai-chan were invited.

Kaguya obviously knows about me being a friend with Ai-chan. But I feel like she also knew I was very close with Ai-chan.

I think it was after Valentine's Day Kaguya asked me if I was Ai-chan's friend. Without any need to lie I told her we were friends then she just replied with a happy smile.

Anyway, Abby has been excited since the morning because it was her first time visiting the summer festival and watching big fireworks. We even bought a new Yukata for everyone yesterday. And currently, I am waiting for the girls to finished wearing their Yukata.

While hearing a melodious giggling sound of the girls from the living room, I smiled then stand up to go to the mirror. I am wearing a black Yukata for men with a Fox Mask on my head. It is Kaori's idea for me to use a Fox Mask instead of a health mask because she said it would be cool.

Not long after that, the girls come out of Nanaka's room. First is, of course, Nanaka who wears a light pink Yukata with sakura petals as the patterns. Next is Chisa, she wears a blue Yukata with star patterns.

Kaori followed after that wearing a light blue Yukata with plum patterns. Shiori, who was behind Kaori wears a black Yukata with dianthus patterns. And there is Abby who also wears a black Yukata with white lily patterns.

The last is Ayase who was also got invited by Shiori and me. She wears a purple Yukata with Hydrangea patterns.

"Do you like what you see?" Kaori smirked and said when she looks at me who mesmerized by their charming appearance.

"Yes. Everyone is so beautiful, gorgeous, lovely, or if there are higher words to describe I would definitely use it." I nodded and said.

The girls looked at each other and smiled with a reddened cheek when they heard my praise. It seems they have been planning for this for some time.

"T-thanks, Onii-san. Y-you looks handsome too..." Ayase shyly lowered her head and said.

"Fufu, thank you Izu-kun. And agreed, you look handsome too." Nanaka said with a gentle smile, and her cheek reddened a bit.

"As expected of Onii-sama, you look very handsome with anything." Shiori calmly praised back but she can't hide the happy smile on her face.

"Nn! You look like a very handsome youkai with that mask in your head, Izu-nii." Chisa said with stars in her eyes.

"Indeed, and I am certain you will be cooler when you wear that Fox Mask since it would bring a mysterious aura around you. As expected of me." Kaori nodded her head and said.

"Master, am I beautiful too?" Abby innocently asked.

"Of course, you are lovely, Abby." I gently caressed her head and said.

"Hehe..." Abby giggled adorably as she hears my praise.

"Well, shall we go?" I asked with a smile.

"Yes!"

We leisurely walked to the summer festival held in a local shrine which only needs 15 minutes walking from my apartment. Not many people walking near us since it looks like other people already arrived at the shrine.

"Fireworks, fireworks, fireworks!" Abby is skipping adorably in front of us with a smile on her face.

"Very precious..." I thoughtfully said as I looked at the adorable thing in front of me.

"Agreed." The girls nodded simultaneously and said.

We continue to walk until we saw a group of five in front of us.

"Aah! Why did you guys wear a Yukata while I'm not?!" Chika shouted when she saw us.

"Didn't we tell you we were going to wear Yukata?" Kaori tilted her head and said.

"Ah!" Chika widened her eyes as if she just remembers it.

"Chika-chan..." Kaori said with a deadpanned expression.

"Yo, Izumi. You sure are late." Miyuki said with a thoughtful expression while ignoring the bickering of Chika. But, the edge of his mouth twitching as if holding back for grinning.

"Don't be like that, Miyuki-kun. Isn't because of that we can happily chat with each other?" Maki said with a calm smile.

"Ah, of course." Miyuki calmly answered but the word 'Happy' can be seen in his eyes.

'I see, so that was the reason.'

"Senpai... I've come to comprehend what is the real riajuu. Looking at you, somehow I was able to forgive the rest of riajuu." Ishigami sagely said as if he just enlightened.

"You don't wear a Yukata, Natsuki-chan?" Ignoring Ishigami, I whispered to Natsuki who silently watching us. Incidentally, Natsuki is wearing her usual gothic loli outfit.

"I tried wearing it before coming here. But I'm not used too since it was my first time wearing a Yukata." Natsuki calmly answered.

"Too bad, I really want to see you in Yukata..." I said with a disappointed tone. Hearing that, Natsuki seemingly thinking about something. Then she made a determined expression with her cheek reddened a bit.

"Maybe I will wear it for you someday," Natsuki whispered directly to my ear.

"Okay... You win again this time." I covered my face with my hand and said.

"Hehe..." Natsuki gently smiled after hearing my response.

"But I hope it's only for me," I whispered back sweetly.

"...fine, you win this one..." Natsuki averted her eyes with her cheek blushed and said.

"Hehe..."

Kaori, Chika, and my phone rang simultaneously while we're talking. It was a mail from Kaguya and looks like the mail was also delivered to Chika and Kaori. In the mail, Kaguya said 'I can't come today... I am very sorry...'

Suddenly, our phone rang again but this time it was a notification about a new tweet from twitter. Once again, It was Kaguya's tweet that said 'I want to see the fireworks with everyone...'

Even though I know this is most likely Ai's works, this is undoubtedly what Kaguya feels right now. Then, I retweeted with 'You will be able to.'

"Guys, please go to the shrine first and reserve a spot for us to watch the fireworks together. I will bring Kaguya and one more person." I smirked and said.

"Fufufu, then we will wait for you, Izu-kun. Please have a safe trip." Nanaka answered with a gentle smile without asking anything.

"Hehe, please bring that lonely princess and her maid to us." Kaori laughingly said. The rest also nodded with an understanding smile.

"Leave it to me!"

After that, I ran to the back-alley near our meeting spot. Then, teleported to the entrance of Kaguya's house and activated the hiding barrier.

I sensed the presence of the people in the house and discovered two presences which most likely Ai and Kaguya in a room with a balcony and its window opened on the second floor.

Besides those two presences, there are several presences a bit far from them which I assume were her father's subordinate. Without further ado, I swiftly went to the balcony and approached the window until I overheard the last bit of Kaguya and Ai-chan's conversation.

"It's fine Kaguya-sama... There is no other way." Ai-chan said with a sad smile.

"But..." Kaguya closed her eyes and said with a sad expression.

I unactivated the hiding barrier as I stood at the window with my fox mask hanging on my head leaving my face uncovered and smilingly said,

"Looks like you two are in trouble. But let me ask, is your order a magician?"
