'Did he just check out my stats'
{I'm pretty sure he did. I wonder what he saw because he looks like he just saw a ghost.}
I was curious about it as well but more than anything, I was mad. Not because I didn't want him to know my stats but mostly because of the disgusting feeling I got when he took a peek at my stats.
"Don't ever do that again." I told him in a grave tone that was both a warning and a threat.
The two of them flinched and I could see how they got nervous, especially Yun Jo.
{This is so cool, scaring the shit out of the main antagonist. Haha} The author laughed.
I thought it was amusing as well but I was more interested in the strength I felt from the two of them.
I could almost instinctively tell how strong they were. Daniel, the red-haired guy was decently strong, probably as strong as Victor Pertirno, the Brazillian guy I fought on my second match.
But what really caught my eye was Yun Jo. As you would expect from the final villain, he was more than strong. I could feel that he was on par with Munseoug if not stronger.
And this was not at his strongest, with the help of the system he had, I would expect him to grow even stronger as time went on.
I wonder how strong he would be at the start of the canon.
"Interesting." I said smiling, "I was getting bored. You guys don't mind playing right?"
Daniel visibly looked frustrated and helpless but Yun Jo just stared blankly at the space as if he was reading something.
'Did he get a quest or something?' I thought to myself while watching him have a thoughtful look.
He turned towards me and looked between me and the space in front of him a few times before he gained a determined expression.
It seemed like he really did get a quest.
'Now I have to make sure he fail.' I laughed to myself while leaving my table and walking towards them.
They did not move an inch when I stood in front of them. I was only 6 feet and they were taller than me with Yun Jo standing at 6'4 and Daniel an inch shorter than that.
They were obviously bigger but they did not even register that. From their perspective, I was a giant who could make them wary of my mere presence.
"Boo." I said and they were not amused. I just smiled confidently and walked right between them.
Our shoulder touched and they made way. I walked past them saying, "Let's take this outside."
They looked at each other and Yun Jo nodded before they followed behind me.
We walked to a quiet corner in the parking lot of the restaurant. I stopped and turned around to look at them.
Now they were on full guard. I could clearly see from their body language how unnerved they were in my presence.
It was like they were standing at the very edge of a cliff where they could fall after a single mistake.
"Fujita Yuito." Daniel said, stepping forward, "Why are you here in North Gangbuk and why are you attacking us? I don't care who you are, I won't allow-"
*POW!!!*
My leg blurred when he was within my reach and I gave him a kick that was too fast for him to even notice.
My feet hit his chin and he fell face first on the ground without even a chance to fight back.
He was not passed out but he was dizzy, the kick set off his brain in the wrong way.
"Maybe you should care who I am." I said, "I don't know if I've mentioned it but I hate bullies."
They were bullies, both of them. They were gangsters who did illegal activities around the area and even collected illegal fees from other students.
It might seem weird to others who didn't know but most of the characters be it villains or heroes in the PTJ universe were minors.
It was because of the Korean law that have a very loose control of minors and always excuse them of their crimes just because they were kids.
Actually, if you become an adult, you are kicked out of a crew or gang because by then it was risky and the law would punish you severely.
So the age of 17-18 were the prime years of a fighter. After 19, you could not involve yourself in the crews as much.
While I was thinking about all this, Yun Jo charged at me with incredible speed and then he executed a wheel kick at me.
I stepped back to avoid the kick and I judged his speed and strength.
Like I thought, he was around Munseoung's level. But I could not base his strength off of his base form.
One advantage the system gave the user was the many skills that could buff your stats and boost your strength suddenly.
So I was wary.
I did not fight back and allowed him to attack me as he wished.
He first started off with Taekwondo, throwing kicks after kicks at me. It was quite the smart move considering he had such a longer reach than me due to his height. I was also a striker and he did not know what attacks I had so it was wise to distance himself away from me while he could still deliver nasty kicks with his heavier weight.
He threw kicks that were so quick that it was unseen by the normal eye and they were so hard that they made small craters on the ground of the parking lot.
I continuously moved around and with extreme fluidity, I dodged his whip-like kicks. His kicks were fast but kicks, with all their advantage over punches, were easier to predict.
He threw a taekwondo 720* kick at me. He spun around extremely quickly and delivered the kick. But I was fast enough to step to the side and his kick landed on the car behind me, the front door along with the glass broke.
*WHOOSH!!*
*CRACKS!!*
"Impressive." I said, catching the punch that came my way. He was punching me now it seemed.
"But what are you doing really? You are not actually fighting me are you." I said while dodging another kick.
I grabbed his leg and tugged at it, pulling him towards me as I punched him in his stomach. His blood mixed with his spit spewed out from his mouth.
Then I quickly turned and did a Jodo throw, slamming his body to the concrete ground of the parking lot.
I punched as hard as I could at the ground just beside his face. There was the sound of the explosion as my fist was planted inside the concrete and a crater was formed.
"Are sure it's okay to hold back?" I asked with a smirk.
"Got you." He suddenly said with a smirk matching my own. His legs wrapped around my waist and he grabbed my hand that was beside his head.
"..."
"..."
"Huh?" He mumbled, dumbfounded.
Oh, I see now. I realized what he was planning to do.
Yun Jo was not a striker but a wrestler or grabbler. He was using Taekwondo not only to keep his distance from me but to make me believe that he was a striker.
He was expecting me to confidently take him to the ground like I just did. His main aim was to make sure we made contact, so he could use his special skill, 'Mana drain' that would allow him to absorb my stats.
He was never trying to fight me. That's why I felt like he was holding back. He just wanted to take advantage of me and absorb my stats to strengthen himself.
Then after that he might fight back.
But lo and behold, he could not absorb my stats.
It was because of my own system. I called it a system but it was really just a status interface. But one of the boons it brings is the permanent stat that I have mentioned time and time again.
It allowed me to never lose what I gained. I could stop training, I could get sick or even age but my stats will remain the same.
It was permanent strength. Something even his master skill card could not overcome.
"What? Are you stupid?" I asked.
"Why? Why is it not working?" He screamed in confusion.
I grabbed him by the collar and stood up before I slammed him on the ground with my full strength. The ground cracked under the weight of the slam.
"You're North Gangbuk's top dog? Pathetic."
