North Gangbuk

As I made my way to the district of Gangbuk, I tried recalling what I knew about the manhwa 'Questism'.

It has been a long time and the manhwa was not even finished before I died in my past life. So I was having some trouble.

"Hey, Author. Remind me, what 'Questism' is about again?" I asked while walking through the sidewalk of the city.

{'Questism' is a system story where the main character gains a system that gives him different skill cards after accomplishing quests.}

"Hmm...I remember that much."

{The main character- like most Korean MCs - was a victim of bullying in his school. That was until he got the system and started doing quests to gain cards. At first, he was happy simply living a normal life but one thing led to the other and he ended up beating the strongest fighter of West Gangbuk who goes to the same school as him. That was when the true purpose of the system started revealing}

{It was not your typical system that only helps the MC. If the MC was unable to complete the main quests, everything he gained through the system and will be taken back. The system will also disappear if he does not complete a main quest.}

"So he is a slave to the system."

{Yes and no. The system basically gave him every skill and unique about him and also healed his eyesight. So it's more like a person finding diamonds and doing whatever he can to hold onto it. The system itself has no sentience other than just giving out quests.}

{The system is designed for mostly combat and other related wars. Even the cards he received are mostly about it. The main quest is uniting the whole district of Gangbuk.}

{Which brings us to the next guy, Johan Seong. He was the guy who once united the whole district of Gangbuk under the crew 'God Dog'. He was an absolute prodigy who could copy any martial arts just by seeing it. He was one of those extremely OP characters. The copy is not just perfect as well, he can replicate it perfectly, and even with the strength behind the attacks, he will be able to execute it even at the cost of breaking his body. It was said that he united the whole of Gangbuk in a single night. Alone.}

{When he was 16.}

I whistled, "Thats quite an impressive feat. I remember him while reading Lookism." 

The manhwa, 'Lookism', 'Questism', and even 'Viral Hit' that Hobin came from are all different manhwa but it all takes place in the same universe and city, Korea. They were written by the same man Park Tae Jun with each story drawn by different artist and related to the other. That's why it is called the PTJ universe.

I reached Gangbuk quickly as it was a neighboring district to Gangnam. I looked around the place and after looking at Google Maps, I realized I was in North Gangbuk.

I was wearing a hat and a face mask so no one recognized me but I still drew some attention because I was wearing jogger pants and a tight shirt that outlined my muscular build.

I was like those extremely hot but wearing a mask kinda anime boy. Yeah, I know, why do I have to be so charming? huehuehuehue

"Now, what am I supposed to do." I looked around, not knowing exactly what to do next.

The thing I needed the most right now was information. What gangs ruled over this district? Had Johan already abandoned Gangbuk? Had the canon already started?

'But how am I going to get such information?' 

I suppose a normal civilian would not be aware of what gangsters ruled over the place they live. So the way to get information is through a gangster or someone who looks like they know this stuff.

At that moment, my eyes caught a bunch of delinquent-looking people sitting on a sidewalk. They were three dudes and one chick full of makeup but impressive curves.

I knew they were delinquents because they were drinking beer and smoking while they were still in their school uniforms.

"Hahaha, tough luck." I chuckled and made my way towards them. When they saw me approaching the three guys gave me a sneer while the girl raised a curious eyebrow.

"Haaaah!! From the way you walk towards us...." The fattest dude spoke up in a very mannerless tone, "Are you looking for trouble, neat nigga."

I paused. 'Do they even know the meaning of nigga or are they just using it to sound ganster?' Because as far as I know and from my arms, anyone could tell I was very much white.

'Whatever.'

"What are you kids doing here? Don't you got school?" I asked them and one suddenly stood up and put his face overly close to me. The smell of bear hit my nose.

"None ya business asshole."

I pulled back and pinched my nose while fanning my face. "What mannerless kids, yare yare daze~"

"I have quite a lot of time so let me teach you guys some manners. Afterall, manners maketh man."

I smiled, "I will turn you from boys to men."

"..."

"..."

"..."

The girl turned her face in disgust.

"You look like it but I wasn't sure before so I didn't judge but..." One of them said, "Your gay bro."

"...." Now I was dumbfounded.

'Oh I am going to enjoy beating them up.'

*BAMM!!*

I slammed the last boy standing onto the wall of the alley. His other friends had fallen down, beaten and the girl was trembling in her place.

"You think I'm gay?" I asked threateningly and he whimpered. His face had bruises all over.

"NOOO! Noo sir!!" He said.

"I will rape you motherfucker!!" I said again and he screamed like a bitch. He was heavier than me but shorter.

"What? Why do you sound so scared? So you think I will actually rape you. You still think I'm gay!!"

"That's not what I mean-" I slapped him across his face.

It was fun beating them up and bullying them, knowing full well they had done worse things to others.

"Shut up. I'll believe you this time." I said, looking at his eyes as he thanked me and nodded like a chicken.

"But tell me, what is the situation in Ganbuk? Who ruled over the area." I asked and he was obedient and quickly answered me.

"The whole of Gangbuk used to be under Johan Seong but he abandoned the district around two months ago. A war broke out and the fighting continued for a month but now things have settled down a bit and Ganbuk is divided into four regions 'north, east, south, west' under different leaders."

I took in the information, "We are in North Gangbuk right? Who is the top dog here?"

"Yun Jo!! He rose to power in only a month and defeated the old leader!! North is currently under him."

Yun Jo was the main antagonist of 'Questism'. He also had a system just like the main character but he got it before the MC.

So it was before the start of the canon.

"Since you are so obedient, I will let you go. make sure you return to school."

"Yes sir!! Yes, Kind sir!!" He said and I let him go. 

I leave the alley. They were the ones who led me here, intending to beat me up but they got beaten instead.

{That was fun}

'I know right.'

{So what are you going to do next?}

"I am just going to enjoy the place as a tourist. I have gotten what I want to know, but maybe I will also be on the lookout for the characters," I said.

I walked around North Gangbuk tried out the different food and enjoyed the sights.

I had nothing I wanted to do in particular so I ended up just looking around the sights and also visited a couple of temples which were popular tourist attractions.

I spent the remaining morning like that and when it was noon, I went to a proper restaurant and ordered the famous Korea Chicken.

I got my order soon and I enjoyed the food, quite underwhelming to be honest but maybe it was because of the restaurant.

The chicken just tastes spicy.

While I was enjoying my chicken, I suddenly felt two people coming inside the restaurant. The reason I noticed them was because I could tell that they were fighters.

Quite strong as well.

But in front of the food, the two were not special enough to take my attention so I continued eating.

That was until I felt the most disgusting sensation I have ever felt.

I did not know exactly how it happened but it felt like an old man was peeking at me while I took a bath. Like someone was looking at things they weren't supposed to, they were trying to look at my most secret place.

I quickly turned around and saw two people. One was a guy with short red hair and the other guy had long hair and earings.

They were familiar. 

{Those are Yun Jo, top dog of North Ganb=gbuk and his number 2, Daniel.}

Oh, I remember them now. So the black-haired guy is the one with the system, the antagonist of 'questism'

But wait...

'Did he just use check out my stats?'
