Three months passed by in an instant as Varya busied herself with lab work.

Many days were the same, but many more were exciting as she became witness to technology beyond anything she could have ever dreamed of. Her passion for science and engineering was back in full force, and she found so much more to live for.

The professional relationship she had established with Dr. Brie was ideal, and he had many quirks that reminded her of her father. It made it hard to keep her walls up around him, and at times she was worried he could tell she was holding back.

On the other hand, he was an open book with her. He never married nor did he have children. He lived in a city called Kryo which was on the other side of the planet and he rode the train to work every day.

She had brought the aura gun model to the lab, but there were as many failures as there were successes, but she was determined not to give up on the device.
