''I was stealing stuff to help my family; the cost of living hit my town hard,'' the prisoner answered. ''A stupid mistake, but I will be out in a few weeks.''

After a moment's thought, he raised an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity in his voice. ''I can offer you a job, but you and your family must relocate to my country.''
