The Exams Conclusion!

"Gravity Push!" Orion Screamed, the force of gravity completely demolished a gang of plant monsters giving him a multitude of points.

Orion then turned around hearing the commotion in the city area of the facility.

"What the hell! That thing is as big as Everest! I wonder who would be stupid enough to fight that thing." Orion said out loud as he ran deeper into the forest area, ready to get more points.

While Orion was quickly getting enough points to pass, Sabrina and Rex had finally finished discussing their plan, with only 10 minutes left for the exam, they had to be quick with defeating this beast.

"Alright Rex you know what to do right?" Sabrina asked.

"Of course you only explained it three times." Rex said sarcastically.

"Okay then go!" Sabrina commanded.

Rex immediately ran full speed at the mountain sized beast with his hands still covered in water for later attacks.

Rex then ran under the monster's legs and began to charge an attack.

"Don't blink ugly!" Rex yelled immediately shooting a Water Gun that shoots a hole through the Grass Monster.

The Grass Monster roared and was about to squish Rex like a bug, but to no avail.

Sabrina used her shadows to chain the monsters arms and legs, with this basically free hit, Rex charged another one of his attacks, this time it was a Water Pulse, the rapidly spinning sphere of water was ready to go, but with a roar, the Grass Monster used vines to grab Rex and Sabrina.

The Beast threw Rex onto a nearby building and Sabrina onto the floor, hitting her head.

"D-Damn it!" Rex screamed. "This thing is tough, I don't think only two attacks are gonna work, looks like I'm gonna have to use something different again." Rex said out loud.

Rex looked down from the roof seeing Sabrina on the ground.

"Hey! Are you alright Sabrina!?" Rex screamed at the girl.

Sabrina slowly got up, her forehead bleeding from the collision.

"Looks like the dark impulses are coming out" Sabrina whispered.

"Huh? What was that?" Rex said.

"Listen Rex! Enough of this silly ass support shit, this thing is gonna die today, so don't hold back!" Sabrina yelled.

Their strategy changed, it looks like all out offense is the way to go here.

The Monster Roared, clearly tired of the chit chat, he then grabbed one of the buildings and threw it at Rex.

"Oh shit, this is bad!" Rex yelled seeing the hurling building come straight towards him.

Rex gulped running straight to the building, using the water coated in his hands, he used yet another new ability.

"SHOTGUN!" Rex yelled shooting a strong pulse of water completely destroying the thrown building and leaving Rex unscathed.

"Damn it, my arm." Rex said on his knees

New Ability- Shotgun- By Manipulating the Water Pressure, Rex uses a strong blast of water out of his fist, While Powerful, it lacks range and the recoil makes Rex hurts his arm.

Sabrina gathered the darkness around her and released a strong attack of her own.

"Shadow Buzzsaw!" She said releasing the Saw and slicing the monster up, in the process cutting it's arm off, the pile of leaves came down, resting on the floor.

Sabrina looked up at the injured Rex on his knees.

"Damn it Rex what are you doing, you can't use a attack that hurts you that much in a do or die situation, are you asking to get killed!" Sabrina yelled.

"I DONT CARE!" Rex screamed with all his might.

"I'll break myself, I'll destroy my body, it doesn't matter to me, I just need to prove myself, I need to prove that I can be a hero NO MATTER WHAT!" Rex yelled.

Sabrina couldn't say anything, what Rex was saying, It was crazy.

Nonetheless, the monster was pissed, throwing a punch with his other arm at Rex on the rooftop.

Rex locked in, and quickly got on his feet and jumped over the punch, easily destroying the tower he was standing on.

Rex jumped onto the monster's arm and ran full speed on it.

The Monster tried his best to shake Rex off but to no avail, Rex charged his water for another attack.

"SHOTGUN!" Rex yelled blasting a hole in the side of The Monster's head.

"DAMN IT!" Rex yelled falling to the ground, another Shotgun with the same arm meant that his arm was practically fractured now, one more and his arm would break.

While Rex was falling to the ground, he gets snatched up by a shadow and pulled to safety.

"You're acting reckless Rex you don't have to do this!" Sabrina yelled.

"No, it's the only way, you've already been hurt enough Sabrina, and without you we can't win, so it's my turn to take all the damage from now on." Rex Explained.

"Damn it Rex you're so so selfish, you realize I'm a hero too!" Sabrina yelled.

"Damn it would you just listen! You're my friend and I'm not gonna let you get hurt anymore got that!" Rex yelled getting annoyed.

"Y-You think I'm you're friend" Sabrina said in shock.

"Of course, I'm not gonna let you get hurt anymore, not on my watch okay!" Rex exclaimed.

"Fine then, but Rex we have to end this fast, we only have about Five minutes left!" Sabrina explained.

"Fine minutes is all I need, all you have to do is get me up there, I can handle the rest." Rex said.

"Alright then, looks like you do have a plan after all" Sabrina says smiling.

Rex and Sabrina both look up at the rampaging monster destroying buildings with his vines.

"Are you sure this will work" Sabrina says wrapping Rex in her chain like shadows.

"Trust me it will, just swing me as hard as you can alright" Rex says.

"If you insist!" Sabrina says spinning in a circle and swinging Rex, she was strong enough to get him airborne and when the time was right, she throws him into the air directly above the monster's head.

"Rex!" Sabrina said looking up worried about if he would make it.

"Alright then, let's end this bastard!" Rex yelled.

"Alright Rex, focus, that same technique you used to protect Orion, to protect your friends, you got this, you can do it, You can win!" Rex thought to himself.

Rex had his eyes closed, the water all going into his hand, no, his entire right arm.

The Monster roars sending its vines straight to Rex attempting to try and intercept his attack, but it was too late, the attack was complete, he just needed to get in close.

Rex sees the vines and while in mid air jumps from vine to vine and even uses one of them as a rail.

While this was happening, the monster readied his free arm and was ready to punch Rex.

Sabrina, having Rex's back, uses some of her shadows to create a buzzsaw that destroys the monster's other arm.

The leaves fall to the ground, giving Rex free reign to unleash his most powerful attack.

"WATER DRILL!" Rex yells crashing down on the Monster's head, it seems to he working as The Monster yells in agony, it tries to wrap Rex up in vines but it was far to late.

"I WONT LET YOU HURT MY FRIEND YOU BASTARD!" Rex yelled mowing down The Grass Monster all the way down to the pavement, creating a huge city wide shock wave sending Sabrina back, but on the bright side the Monster is completely destroyed turning the entire Monster into a huge pile of leaves again.

"Not bad kid" Wildvine said watching the exams.

"Looks like I win guys" Roughouser said confidently.

All the directors were in shock, the new kid on the block, Rex, was actually able to destroy a monster of a pro hero.

His victory was empowering to not only himself but everyone in the area that saw it.

But there was one problem, Rex was free falling in the air.

"Damn it, after destroying a monster this is my fanfare? Turning into a bloody red mist on the pavement!?" Rex thought to himself.

Sabrina woke up from the shockwave and seen Rex falling to the ground, after a stumble from her hitting her head again she uses the final bit of her shadows to create a tentacle to catch Rex from the air.

After a soft landing, Rex landed safely but he was drained of his energy, Sabrina was too, although unlike Rex, she was knocked out.

Rex got up from the landing, holding his fractured left arm.

"D-Damn it, I need, points." Rex said dragging himself to the forest area.

"Times Up kid!" Wildvine exclaimed on the loudspeaker.

All the remaining Grass Monsters got reverted back to just regular leaves now.

"So it's finally over huh, I was actually having fun" Orion said.

Medical Robots surrounded the the facility, out of the Hundreds of testers, nobody was really injured, except Sabrina and Rex who were rushed to the nurses office.

While Rex was on the stretcher, Orion had seen him.

"R-Rex" Orion Whispered.

"What happened, HOW DID THAT HAPPEN!" He yelled.

While asleep, the events of test are playing through Rex's head, over, and over, and over, and over again, he was tossing and turning, realizing in his head that he didn't get enough points, his dream of being a hero, are they null and void!?

Rex woke up in a cold sweat, his arm wrapped up due to the fracture.

He looked to his left and his right and he saw Sabrina sitting up looking at him.

"So you're finally awake Rex, looks like you were tossing and turning" Sabrina said.

"Yeah, I guess I was worried about something" Rex said quietly.

Sabrina's head was wrapping up in bandages and was in a hospital gown, just like Rex.

"So do you think you passed" Rex said quietly.

"I think so, I cleared out the City so I'm guessing I got enough points, but you only got a few though, are you gonna pass Rex?" Sabrina asked.

"I doubt it, I barely did anything, I'm a failure" Rex said putting his head down.

"Rex, don't say that!" Sabrina said getting up.

"You're strong Rex, you defeated a giant monster! If this school doesn't accept you, they would be stupid!" Sabrina yelled.

Rex became teary eyed while hearing her words.

Before Rex can articulate what he felt, the nurse came into the room.

"Dudes, I don't think it's smart to be all lively and such when I just used my power on you" a pink haired young woman named Jennifer said.

Nurse Jennifer- Superhuman Tech Nurse- Power: Restore- Can easily heal any injury or sickness with relative ease although after use she becomes very mellow.

"I apologize miss" Sabrina said respectfully.

"Oh by the way dudes, you're free to go, your should be well enough to walk home and such man" Nurse Jennifer said playing in her rolling chair.

Rex and Sabrina change into regular clothes, bandages still on, and walk outside.

While they're on the way to the subway, Rex has his head down and is pretty upset about potentially failing.

Sabrina wants to say something but she can't find the words.

After aimlessly walking in the campus and going to the entrance from where they started today, there stood Orion and it seemed like he was waiting for Rex specifically.

Rex looked up to see his best friend, for the first time after the test he was genuinely happy, he was excited to see his best friend.

"O-Orion!" Rex ran up to him with a smile on his face.

But Orion wasn't smiling at all, he was ready to question Rex about a lot of things.

"Rex, you're finally awake, this your girlfriend or something?" Orion said looking behind Rex and looking at Sabrina.

Sabrina blushed put her face down.

"What no way Orion! What do you want with me anyway?" Rex said defensively.

"Rex, tell me, how did that monster get destroyed?" Orion asked.

Rex was surprised that Orion was so blunt about the question but he wasn't gonna sugarcoat anything.

"Me and Sabrina, we worked together to beat it" Rex said in a serious tone.

Orion was shocked and his surprise turned into annoyance.

"So it's true, you are still above me aren't you?" Orion said turning his back.

"W-What are you talking about Orion what's going on?" Rex said.

"Are you serious Rex! You know what's going on! I'm so far beneath you! It's driving me crazy! My father was right! He was so right! I am weak!" Orion says rambling.

"Orion…" Rex says concerned for his friend.

Orion turned his back ready to leave, but before he does, he leaves Rex with a message.

"Rex, from now on, we're rivals, let's see who prevails, my gravity, or your water." Orion said leaving the school grounds.

Rex was distraught, and he didn't understand, he doesn't know why this happened, what went wrong.

Rex put his head down again, and he doesn't say a word.

"Rex are you okay?" Sabrina said worried.

"Y-Yeah it doesn't matter, if he wants to be my rival then fuck it, I'll become stronger than him no matter what, if that's what I need to do to be a hero, so be it" Rex explains.

Sabrina is still worried about Rex's mental state but there wasn't any time to talk much.

"Oh shit, I have to get home Rex! I guess I'll catch you later?" Sabrina said.

"Yeah sure, I guess we can meet at that Cafe again after we get our results." Rex said.

Rex and Sabrina go their separate ways.

After quiet ride on the subway, Rex arrives home and immediately crashes into his bed, no shower, and not even talking to his mom.

A week passed from the test and it was quiet, nothing happened at all and Rex was quiet for the most part.

"Rex! Rex! Rex are you okay?" Rex's Mom asked.

It was dinner time on a Thursday night and he hasn't even touched his Lasagna and Fruit Punch his Mom made.

He stayed motionless like this until he heard a ring from his doorbell, it was the mailman, he came to deliver a envelope and the letter was from Superhuman Tech!

Rex ran into his room, Dinner untouched and immediately opened it.

But it was weird, it seemed like it was handwritten specifically for him.

Rex began to read the letter one word at a time and it read:

"Dear Rex, It seems like you haven't scored a single point in our examination, that is very unfortunate for you and we apologize for your low grade.

However, your performance against that Plant Monster was exemplary, and as educators, we cannot let a Hero of this magnitude go without coming into our program, Rex, you pass! Welcome to Superhuman Tech!

-Sincerely Roughouser."

As the words processed to Rex's pea brain it finally clicked that he was in, he was ACTUALLY in, he was officially a hero in training. Rex jumped for joy out of his bed, bur immediately was put on his ass from his fractured arm.

On a separate piece of paper it was a card that was meant to be turned in to get Rex's uniform information, class started Monday at 8AM Sharp.

Finally, this was his first step at becoming a hero.
