"You don't know how to use your powers? Don't you just need to do some, blah blah blah? I'm not a vampire, so I wouldn't know, but, that should work, right?" Alissa suggested with a lot of sarcasm behind her voice. Right after suggesting, in order to tease him more, Alissa made sure to show Mark one of her most scheming looking smile that nobody would trust upon seeing.

Seeing that smile, mark felt slightly disgusted. He felt disgusted because he was able to tell that Alissa was making fun of his incompetence. Little did he know that Alissa wasn't only making fun of him, but also lying straight to his face. Of course, Alissa didn't mean any harm with her lies, and only tried to keep the dangerously consequential truth from him.

Telling him that she didn't know how he can use his power, is actually a small and harmless lie of hers, which she had to say to him in a joking way in order for the big truth to be covered. That big truth being her cooperation with the queen of draculas that led to bloodshed.

If Alissa didn't make the joke of hers, she would have had to reveal the fact that she knew how Mark can use his powers. Revealing the fact would mean that she would have to reveal the source of her information. That source of information being Queen dracula, who she had had a conversation with within the two hours that Mark was left to boredom.

Of course, Alissa had already thought about telling Mark a made up story, but, she didn't, because that would just make things difficult for her in the future, due to the amount of lies there'll be for her to keep up with. Basically, by making a joke, Alissa wouldn't have to worry about her made up stories not adding up together, and Mark becoming suspicious of her as a result.

"You're not nice. You know that? But anyway... Where do you think we should go? Is there a less crowded area that is not too far from the airport, and that is in a spot where Artemis could find us easily?" Mark changed the topic of the conversation, switching it into what was supposed to be talked about instead.

To leave the place, because a bunch of people are arriving to disturb his peace… That was the topic of the conversation, and that's what the vampire and ghost duo decided to do.

"Oh, uhm… I can fly, and am actually floating right now, instead of touching the ground." Alissa told Mark, thinking that he needed such a crucial piece of information, due to how ignorant he seemed to be about her ability as a ghost.

"Did I ask?" While Alissa was so nice to consider crucial pieces of information, Mark was just, rude…

"Uh… Uh… I just thought it would be best for you to know that, because I can scout for you from the sky with my abilities." Alissa looked like she was about to cry as she said those words of hers.

"Oh… Sorry." Mark simply apologized immediately after hearing the saddened words of Alissa. He didn't do that because he felt bad, but did that because he didn't want to start a unnecessary and long conversation. He was still a bit sleepy headed, which means that a long and unwanted conversation is exactly what he wants to avoid the most.

Unfortunately for him, Alissa didn't want to give him the piece of mind he that desires. He had been forced to wake up completely by the chattering mouth of Alissa, and almost wanted to tell her to wander around again because of her disturbance. He held back from being even more rude to her, however. In fact, he was so nice to listen to her while being slightly pissed off.

"Alright. There's no one here, really. And, it's hard for others to notice us. Don't worry about Artemis. I'll check around every quarter hour. Now, try experimenting with your powers. I've seen some movies before, and can say that vampires like you who can handle the sunlight is definitely not common. You must be a great vampire! Oh! Maybe you are like those draculas in superhero movies! I saw your nails earlier when I went to find you in your home. Try that first. Maybe you have super strength too, or something that is not too overpowered like mind manipulation!"

In the end, Alissa couldn't help helping Mark out. She saw a glimpse of her lover in him, and was drawn to being helpful and caring to him because of such a glimpse that she saw in his eyes…

Nonetheless, even though she was drawn by emotions, she wasn't stupid. She had made sure to provide a very possible and simple excuse of superhero movies, in which she placed hints for Mark to understand. By saying it is all thanks to fiction, her suggestions aren't facts but only possible assumptions, which means that she was completely safe from being exposed as a villain after helping out Mark with his powers.

"I'll be right back. Just going to check if Artemis is already near or not. You go practice with your nails first. Good luck!" Alissa excused herself right after giving Mark her hints.

Perhaps she decided to leave because she wanted to do what she said she is going to do, or maybe, just maybe, she was trying to escape from Mark for a moment, after she had almost given in to her emotions, which she would have done by revealing all of that big truth to the Evan that she believes is behind those eyes of Mark.
