Maven's 7th birthday

It's been a month since maven asked his father for books but till now there was no response from him. His father said that he would get them in due time.

Today was 7 August 1817 he woke up cleaned himself. Then he found new clothes on his bed . He was surprised and put on his new clothes. Went down stairs to his surprise he found Lady Maria.

He went near Lady Maria and greeted her

" Good morning lady Maria"

" Oh good morning maven. You are looking beautiful young man .what's so special today hmm tell me" she asked if a funny tone

" I don't know lady Maria I found new clothes on my bed after coming out of my bath"

She looked around at Morvous

" Morvous are you serious you kid doesn't know about his birthday"

" Yes from his childhood we never celebrated his birthday and I never told him. Today would be his first birthday celebration." Morvous said looking at maven.

" What he'll Morvous how could you do this to a kid". She looked at me seriously

" kid tell me how many friends do you have and how many people have you know other than your father".

" I don't know anyone other than you outside my father / twik and I don't have any friends " said maven. ( In his thoughts yes I never knew anyone until this woman asked me I never thought about it.god damnit Iam a loner).

" You idiot is this how you treat a kid and complain that he is a Squib. Don't you know when you force a kid to extreme he will never invoke magic out of pressure or become a obscurer because of magic suppression." In a angry tone said Maria

" Maria please leave the topic I was wrong I made lot a mistakes . Now I followed your advice and left maven to his own thoughts. Now I'm not forcing or using magic on him ".

"This the last time Morvous . Ok kid let's forget about bad memories. Bloody twik get down here with the cake".

Suddenly they all shouted happy birthday with a cake floating in front of maven.

Maven's thought

( These two acted as if nothing happened now suddenly brought a cake in front of me.

I cut the cake a gave a piece to to my father and Maria .

" Ok kid her are the gifts from me open later and aside from them I'm also lending you these books on your father's request give back to me once you are done "

" Thank you lady Maria"

" Enough kid stop calling me lady Maria all the time call me Maria from now on ".

I looked at my father expecting a gift .he gave a smile and said he would give my gift before I go to bed.

After having breakfast I left with the gift package and books give to me by Maria to my from.

I opened the package and looked at the books there were books on child fantasy one of them was "The Tales of Beedle the Bard " . Then I looked at the book Maria borrowed me it was " A brief history British magic ".

Then I started ready reading 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard' as for the book on history it was more than 2000 pages my mind went black by sheer Wight and size of the book. So thought of reading it later.

It was night I had my dinner and about to sleep. Then my father came in

" I'm sorry maven for the delay in your gift I just came back after sorting few things out".

He gave me a key with number 777 on it and a plane ring .i took the key and looked at it. Then he said

" These two are the gifts I give you maven keep the key secret don't tell a soul about the key to anyone it maybe useful to you in future as for this ring it's an enchanted ring that prevents others from reading your mind always wear it."

" This thank you father"

" No need son until you invoke magic in you I cannot tell more about the key and the ring. And I have got myself some work I will be leaving Britain for some time it may take 6 months to one year. I was already paid what ever you need call twik . As for security u need not worry our house is protected by a fedlius charm so others don't know about our house location only me and secret keeper Maria know about it. She will come and watch over you occasionally."

" Father where are you going can you tell me and what will happen to me if something happens to you".

" Don't worry maven everything has been arranged and nothing will happen to me. I cannot share where Iam going.i will be leaving tomorrow morning. Ok sleep let's talk tomorrow".

After standing up and closing door of his son's room. " This is all for you son " Thought Morvous

After his father left maven read a book for some time and went in to sleep
