Fight with the Devil Serpent I

Hera and Regis were staring at the Devil Serpent. This is their first time seeing this kind of monster so they are cautious about it.

Looking at its prey, the Devil Serpent's arm started stretching like a rubber and rushed towards Regis. Although caught off-guard, Regis jumped and dodged it.

"Be careful!" Hera shouted as he warned Regis of the incoming danger.

Although danger is approaching him, Regis calmly used his magic. Gravity magic. The difference with Regis and Noctis when they used Gravity magic is, Regis can only use Gravity on what he touched, unlike Noctis who can pull or push enemies with gravity.

Regis touched hia chest and he fell down quickly because of the gravitational pull, evading another elastic hand trying to pin him down.

Seeing its plan didn't work, the Devil Serpent used its hair to spit out acid. Hera easily dodged it with her speed. Regis just sidestepped everything effortlessly. The duo could see the potent acid melt down the rocks as it created a small hollow hole.

"What's the plan? We can't get close because of its stupid arms and acid spit." Regis asked and Hera was thinking of a way to defeat the enemy.

"Remember that time when we fought against that stupid Lion? We'll use that." Hera said and Regis nodded.

Another hand stretched out towards them and Regis sidestepped and slashed the stretched arm.

"This should be eas- oh. Me and my stupid mouth." Regis said as he stared at the Devil Serpent growing the an arm.

"Regenerative properties. This is going to be a little harder." Hera said to Regis.

Seeing that its attacks don't work on Regis, the devil serpent shifted its attack to Hera. Two stretched arms came towards Hera and Regis sliced one while Hera evaded the arm and pierced it with her rapier, however, the arm suddenly hardened causing her rapier to be stuck on the skin. Left with no choice, Hera let go of her rapier.

The devil serpent used its acid and spit on the rapier, melting it down to nothingness. Seing her rapier melting, Hera felt anger. It was the rapier she used when she was still young.

"Oh. Looks like I'm going to sit on the sidelines this time." Regis said and let Hera do her thing.

Hera raised her hand and another sword came out. It was a rapier, but the designs were much simple than the rapier earlier. The rapier she was holding doesn't have any decoration in it. When Hera poured ethernano from her body onto the rapier, runes started appearing from it.

Hera suddenly vanished and appeared in front of the Devil Serpent's face and stabbed one of its eyes. After stabbing one of its eye, she suddenly appeared meters away from the Devil Serpent.

"Hurts isn't it? Although I seldom used this rapier and was always stored in my personal storage, its piercing ability never let me down." Hera said and one of the rapier's rune affected the Devil Serpent. Anti-healing. Hera's rapier was rumored to be made by a dwarf who was saved by her ancestor, in exchange the dwarf crafted this rapier and it was passed down through generation. Its runes were supposed to deal with any kinds of situation.

Hera stared at the Devil Serpent glaring at her which made Hera smirk. She used her magic, space magic to create pockets of holes in the air. Hera suddenly stabbed the hole quickly. Another hole appeared in front of the Devil Serpent and one of its eyes got pierced once more.

Hera's space magic, is the same with Noctis but her use of space magic is different with Noctis, her son didn't need to do something like wearing his opponents down since he could just use brute strength and sever the heads of his enemies by teleporting besides them.

Hera is different, because she's a woman, her strength is a little lacking, compensating it with her speed. Her weapon choice is also a rapier which is a very light weapon and is more suited for piercing. Hera would create pocket holes, attack it and open another hole at the same time to transfer the attack and hit her opponent.

(Just like Leorio's nen ability where he sent a punch to Ging as he punched the stand then transferred his attack under Ging.)

The attacks pierced the Devil Serpent's body causing it to roar in pain. Its body was riddled with wounds and its having a hard time regenerating. Seeing that it couldn't let it continue, the Devil Serpent spit massive amounts of acid to Hera. Seeing the attack, Hera calmly received it. She closed the space pockets and opened a big space pocket in front of her and caught the acid attack, she then opened another pocket hole on top of the Devil Serpent and dropped the acid attack back to it. The Devil Serpent got caught in its own acid as the sizzling sounds could be heard.

Hera gave one last blow as she opened another pocket hole and stabbed it before transferring her attack in front of the Devil Serpent's remaining eye.

Seeing that her job is done she stepped back and sat down beside Regis.

"Its your turn now." Hera said and Regis grinned and held his long sword. Against monster like this, Hera's weakness appeared. She lacked the skill to finish her opponent. If it was another human, she could just stab their heart but monster's hides were tough. She also didn't know the exact body structure of the Devil Serpent. Without sufficient knowledge, she wouldn't be able to finish enemies like this, but Regis can.

Regis jumped up high, towering above the Devil Serpent. The Devil Serpent still has no idea of what's happening and squirming from pain. Regis used his gravity magic and instead of applying it to only himself, he also applied it to his sword. Regis dropped down at really fast speed because of the gravitational pull. He pointed his sword to the Devil Serpent and dropped on its head causing it to be stabbed and be dragged down by the gravitational pull.

Regis crashed down and clouds of dust covered the area. When the dust cleared, Regis created a big hole and he twisted his sword to ensure that the Devil Serpent is finally dead.

"Hey Dear! Do you think this guy's meat is delicious?" Regis might not openly admit it but he was a foodie as well. He loved the foods made by his wife especially when her cooking skills improved after being taught by his son about cooking.

"Hm, it should be. Its just finding the right way of cooking it." Hera said making Regis smile as he sat down and the duo watched the others fight.
