A fae's tale

During the 23rd century humans began scientific experiments causing in the creation of Fae's half humans half magical creatures that were made to protect mankind, but as time passed we began to evolve and started fighting for our rights and became a part of society. This didn't set well for some humans and they started a war against us we were forced to run and hide for our own safety. We found an island, a safe haven, a place we could call home. Welcome to ZAGOROTH! My name is Talon and I'm a blue fae. Growing up all i wanted was to be part of the project until i was told about the truth, about the horror it held behind the name. i soon learned about the prophecy and made it my duty to find this chosen one even if it meant having to leave my safe heaven. But i believe in the prophecy, it says a fae will be born from blue eared parents and will have the Colours of all the colonies. I have made it my mission to find the chosen one for that fae will be the one to lead us to peace.

The Purple Colony

We had arrived at the gates and were waiting in a tiny line of border inspectors when I noticed a young fae wailing in the corner, "hey?" "What's wrong?" I said, hinting for him to look at me. I extended my hand to him.

"Don't," the girl said as she grabbed my arm and yanked it back, "he's a thief, I've seen him around before." I stared at the girl who was holding my hand, entranced by her beauty. When the chilly breeze touched us, her purple silk hair floated freely behind her.

When she gave me a death gaze, it took me a while to come to. "He's in a gang." They tend to rob individuals at the borders, remember to never and I mean never, aid anyone who appears to be in need at the borders. It's always a swindle." She then released my arm and moved ahead.

I was stunned by the vision of Zagoroth I was witnessing; it was nothing like the image my father and mother had imprinted on my brain. They assured me it was a secure place, that they looked after every fae on the island... They convinced me that they were decent people who cared about others, and now I saw the reality of my father and mother, the reality of the King and Queen of Zagoroth.

They were no longer the amazing King Edmond and Queen Lily, they were known as terrible leaders. I was now beginning to see why.

"Your I.D sir?" the guard questioned the girl who hit him with a death glare strong enough to make him feel terror inside. "Temey," his name tag said. He was an extremely tall fae about 6.7 feet and had broad shoulders. He looked like he could knock a fae out just by shaking hands with someone too hard.

His dark blue hair under his cap, gave away his age. Our hair was the one thing that could give our age away. Our hair has a light color but as we grow it gets darker.

"I apologize ma'am." he states once he sees the picture and gender on the I.D, "next!" he shouts trying to avoid the awkward encounter.

I approach him, holding a fake I.D. with my photo but a different name and age; I recall forcing Taron to manufacture one for me, which he did. Taron performed anything I instructed him to do, and I couldn't tell if it was because he was my friend or because he was my servant. Despite the fact that I don't recall ever treating him as if he were less than a friend to me.

"Okay sir you're free to go, Next!" he says handing me my card back and motioning me to pass the gates.

The alarms started going off the instant I walked out of the gate with the girl in front of me. "I'm sorry," I whispered as I turned around to find Taron on my balcony. I pulled up my hoodie, hiding half my face just enough for me to see but making it impossible for others to see me.

The girl grabbed my hand, "RUN!" I took a small glance back as the guards stopped the traffic from leaving and began to shut the door. I peeked through the small gap and saw my mother and with that we both began to run.

We were officially in the Purple colony.

Since it was daytime I didn't need to hide my blue ears or hair, it's not like anyone knew who I was. I had been hidden since I was 10 trapped inside the castle away from the outside world. No one ever saw me or knew how I looked.

I pulled off my hoodie and then began a proper investigation, "I didn't quite catch your name." I say stopping her in her tracks.

"Riya." She side-eyes me then continues walking.

I was still glancing over my shoulder, fearful of being apprehended by guards. Riya saw how anxious I was and offered to take me shopping, "the guards will notice you when you're wearing those clothing, you look like a million bucks."

"And why is that a bad thing?" I suppose she's jealous."Because we fae's aren't affluent enough to genuinely have designer hoodies or skin silk purses," She snarled in response. "We need to get you some new clothing as soon as possible." and implying that she ran quickly, indicating that I keep up.

I gently stretched my wings, and with each tiny inch that they spread, they gave forth a lovely rainbow as the sun shone through them. I flapped them briefly to get them stable before pacing after Riya.

Purple fae's were renowned for their rapid running, but blue fae's were known for their fast flying, so I quickly caught up with her, soaring above her and casting a shadow over her, causing her to come to a halt.

She grinned at me and said, "Show off!" before continuing at full speed. She took a few sharp turns where I ended up taking the wrong ones and I almost lost her once but managed to keep up. We went from one turn to another then met up in front of the highway where she paused due to oncoming traffic.

I crossed it flying but stayed low enough that no one could spot me from the castle. I had to remain high enough to cross vehicles and fae's but low enough not to be spotted over the walls.

"Do you need me to help you?" I say, giving her a vicious grin. She rolled her eyes and took her chance to cross the road.

"There it is," she says, pointing to a little shop. It was isolated from the other stores, on the far right corner, and appeared abandoned. I paused for a moment and remained in the air, thinking that if it were a trap, it would be easier for me to escape because they couldn't reach me up here.

"Come on!" she waves her hands towards me, i sat on top of the shop glazing down on her and gathering my thoughts.

Still hesitant to go in, she stood outside and soon was joined by another fae, he wasn't wearing a mask and was also a purple fae and behind him stood another girl but her eyes were different as the sun rays hit her eyes they let out a dark black color…

It was a black fae…

They all turned to face me and stood there talking to each other exchanging glances, after a good three to four minutes Riya began to yell and when I gazed at her she pointed towards the highway, there were some guards of the blue colony heading our way, I had no choice but to trust her and flew down again, hiding my face and hair in my hoodie and walking inside.
