I Would Love To See You Try

Kael's eyes nearly popped out of his head. "WHAT?!"

"Shh! You'll wake them," Ian warned. 

Lady Ava made a small noise before snuggling closer and Zeldris's tail twitched. Thankfully, both remained asleep. This wasn't a conversation the demon should be hearing and she needed her rest. 

The fairy sighed. "I told you, it's a human thing. It's quite common for people who have difficulty conceiving on their own to do this here. The contract is a written form of a verbal agreement that can be used in court if breached. Simple as that. 

"Ava already agreed to help me so this is merely a formality. A formality that requires a witness's signature to be legally binding. So will you do it? I would rather not involve any of the humans I know since it would embarrass her. We know most of the same ones through work."

Kael pondered this. He would have to verify it with Lady Ava later.
