Cry It Out If You Must

Ava knelt in front of Ian's grave numbly for a while. She didn't know what she was supposed to do. First and foremost, they should get Kael's injuries treated. She didn't know how effective elves were at healing burns. 

"Kael, do your healers know how to handle burns?"

He sighed. "Probably not to this extent."

"We should go back to my world then. Hospitals have these things called burn units that are specifically meant for them." 

Ava got to her feet but was shaky because she had been kneeling for so long. Zeldris steadied her in a flash. He hadn't said much all this time so she didn't know what he was thinking about what had happened. 

He was a demon so he was probably more used to death and destruction than she could ever be but that didn't mean he wasn't having a hard time with what happened too. She would have to ask him about it later when she got the chance. If she even got the chance.
