There was only one thing to do when faced with the very weight of the heavens upon you, and that was to fight with your life on the line.
"Damnit, I can't believe I got stuck with such an idiot! What even came over you to challenge the heavens in that way? You've been nothing but fortunate so far!" Ghostwhisper scolded in Devotion's head.
"Now's not the best time to explain! What exactly happens during tribulation!?" Devotion strictly responded, cutting off the staff. Devotion was rapidly circulating his energy, getting ready for... something. He'd never heard of tribulation before.
The hole in the sky grew to form an x shape, and purple lightning seemed to be condensing within it. The rumbling grew more and more intense, to the point that one would have to shout to be heard. Devotion's eardrums rang. This was the most intense feeling of danger he had ever had.
Most would feel powerless now, but Devotion did not. He felt ready. He wasn't sure what for, but he was ready.
