A Devil Named Devotion

When the most powerful mage in the world suddenly dies and leaves his inheritance spread across his journal pages, a mad dash to collect them erupts on the continent. One small issue: just before his death, that mage hid his journal pages in various locations, unknown to all. A young man, unconcerned with it all, suddenly has his life changed forever when he stumbles upon one of these pages and unlocks a power within himself he never knew he had.

"Oh, this is going to be a shit show." Ysmir's voice rang out in Devotion's head. Devotion had grown somewhat used to the fox's deadpan humor, at least.

"Speak for yourself, I'm confident." Devotion responded. Internally, he wasn't remotely confident, but Ysmir didn't know that.

"I can read your thoughts, genius. We're so fucked." Ysmir's voice interrupted Devotion's devilish planning.

"Alright, you've got a point." Devotion waved his hand and summoned the Frostbrand Sword from his Interspatial Ring, as well as the staff form of Ghostwhisper.

"Didn't know you had money." Leza commented, seeing that ring.

"I should say the same thing to you." Devotion responded. It was rather bizarre that Leza was even making a comment about that, considering she also had an Interspatial Ring.
