"So you really can't remember anything from before?" Devotion asked Ysmir. The two had been travelling for a few hours now, and there wasn't much to do besides have mundane conversation. The one part of travelling that most don't consider is the extreme boredom that could sometimes come with it.
"For like the tenth time, I really don't. All I can remember is that-" Ysmir began to recall.
"You were running from something, then I summoned you. Somehow." Devotion finished.
"Exactly. Every time that I think about it, I swear I'm closer to remembering what I was running from, but then that feeling fades just as quickly as it came. I sincerely think the only way to learn more is for us to grow stronger. It seemed to work last time. Remember, I couldn't even talk a week ago."
