Zia And Zayn.

"Ava–" Allicia rolled her eyes at her friend. "I urge you to please be quiet and concentrate on driving" she voiced.

"Nonsense, I can see the road clearly, even with my eyes closed!" Ava bragged.

"Nope, you won't do that here" Allicia laughed. Of course, she knew how reckless her friend can be. Ava may appear quite childish and playful, but that's a mere facade of what she really is. Her playfulness is only a cover-up for her fierceness and the thuggery that coursed through her veins. If she really bragged about driving with her eyes closed, Allicia could bet that she would definitely give it a try when no one was watching. Ava had been that way since she knew her from the Orphanage.

"Tsk!" Ava clicked her tongue childishly causing Allicia to laugh, she could almost hear the latter mutter, "coward" under her breath.

"For the kids, you must be careful" Allicia warned.

"Right!" Ava bobbed her head, just like Allicia, she could not afford anything to happen to the children. When it comes to them, she became extra careful and did not dare to be reckless until they reached her apartment.

The car eventually came to a stop and they all came out of the car. Allicia help her kids out of the vehicle while Ava took care of the pieces of luggage. They walked into the house and entered. Luckily, the environment didn't have too many houses so it was rather calm and not crowded. For her children, Allicia loved the peaceful housing area. Pending the time she settled down, she could only stay with her kids at her friend's house. She was pretty grateful to Ava.

"Zia, Zayn… we will be staying with Mama Ava for now, okay?" Allicia looked at her kids and explained with smiling patient eyes.

The girl child named Zia immediately returned her mother's smile while the boy merely glanced at her and nodded expressionlessly.

"I would love to stay with pretty Mama Ava!" Zia expressed in her childish voice. When she smiled, two dimples appeared on her cheeks making her look very cute and beautiful. Seeing the girl's smile, Allicia felt as though her world could not be anymore brighter than it was now. She bent over and kissed her daughter on the cheeks. She turned to the boy and smiled at him.

"What about you, Zayn? Do you like it here?" Allicia asked sweetly.

The little boy pursed his lips seriously and furrowed his brows. "It is okay" he mumbled.

In spite of his serious face, Allicia still found her boy to be very cute. He had always been so cold and expressionless since he was a baby. He wouldn't even cry or laugh when people played with him as a baby. His pair of sharp dark eyes reminded her of someone. Allicia knew that the boy's countenance was very much like his father's. She sighed helplessly and could not help but pinch the boy's cute cheeks. The roundness of his face was like stuffed buns.

Zayn knitted his brows but he did not stop his mother from pinching his cheeks. He could not understand why the woman was obsessed with pinching his face every time she was happy. Seeing her bright smile, he just let her be. Unknowingly, a deep blush crept up to his face up to his ears.

"Aw… these kids are so adorable!" Ava who had just walked in met with this scene. She cupped her face and looked at the family of three with an endearing expression on her face. One would think she wanted kids herself. Right, that was her exact thoughts but on a second thought, she shook her head and threw off the thoughts. Having kids? Nope!

"It is good that the kids are here with me now. I have only seen the pictures and videos, now seeing them in real life, I really can't bear to let go of them anymore. Maybe I should steal them away and make them mine?" Ava muttered thoughtfully and Allicia threw her a look.

"What do you think, Allicia?" Ava asked with an arched brow while she stared innocently at her friend.

Allicia said nothing in response but she threw her a look that says "Don't even think about it".

"Heh… was joking, I was just joking" Ava chuckled, she waved her hands and backed away instantly.

"Hm," Allicia hummed and said nothing afterwards.

"So, I prepared one room for you and one for the twins. I don't know if that would be convenient because this is only a three-bedroom apartment. I am using a room myself and there are only two rooms left. I just thought that the twins could share a room" Ava said.

Allicia looked at the kids who were sitting on the couch before glancing back at Ava. The arrangement is good, but, I think it would be better if I shared a room with Zia. Zayn is already used to staying alone in his room, he does not like it when others invade his space so I will use my room with Zia while Zayn uses the other room" Allicia expressed.

"Oh…" Ava mumbled but before she said anything, the little girl had left the chair unnoticed and was now clinging to her mother's legs.

"Mom, I want to share a room with Zayn," the little girl said.

Allicia was surprised, she was not expecting such a request from her baby girl. She was too stunned to say anything for a while and only stared at the child.

Seeing her mother's silence and fearing that it was rejection, Zia batted her lashes pitifully and pouted her small lips. Her glassy eyes became teary instantly and in one blink, she would be a crying mess.

"Please… pretty please… Mom" she pleased sweetly and pouted.

"Gosh!" Ava gasped and clutched her heart. She felt as though she had been shot by a thousand Cupid arrows. She was filled with sweetness within and without.

"Beautiful mummy, please… let me stay with Zayn, please…" Zia attacked again.

"Ah–" Allicia was clueless, she really wanted to say 'yes' instantly but she was also considerate of her other son.

Before she could say another word, a cold childish voice interrupted her.

"Come back here, don't be troublesome!"

Everyone turned in the direction of the voice instantly. Little Zayn sat on the couch like a big boss, his tiny legs barely reached the ground but he still appeared very noble. His gaze was fixed on his sister and a tiny frown crossed his lips.

"I will share my room with her," he said plainly.

Zia immediately left her mother's side and dashed towards her brother with her tiny legs.

"Thank you so much, big brother!" She voiced and hugged him very much to his displeasure.

"Sit down!" Zayn pressed his lips together after saying but he did not stop her from clinging to him. One could easily tell that the grumpy little guy cared about his sister.

Ava was amused by the interaction of the twins, she threw a look at Allicia and arched a brow. "Big brother? Didn't you say Zia came out first?" She questioned.

Allicia smiled and gave a helpless nod. It was the truth, Zia is the older twin and was even older than Zayn by about ten hours but since they learned to talk, Zia had always referred to Zayn as her Big Brother. There was nothing Allicia could do about it.

Ava merely smiled also and did not remain on the topic. "Since everything has been decided, let us settle down!" She noised.
