Astrid's POV

×××

I walked out of the laundry cottage and my jaw dropped. I stood still unable to contain everything my eyes were seeing. The whole pack was in a dilemma as everyone was running helter-skelter.

"What's going on?". I asked as my heart plummeted in my chest.

"Mo-Mother". I called as a tear dropped from my eyes. "Wh…what's happening?".

My thoughts went back to the attack on our rogue community. Why was everyone running? I wondered if another pack had invaded and instigated a war or riot.

"I'm not leaving you, Mo-mother". I said with a shaky voice. My eyes darted everywhere and I suddenly went down covering a hand over my ears. As I squatted, I let out slow and low whimpers.

I suddenly felt a hand over mine.

"Astrid". I heard. "You have to go".

I shook my head immediately squeezing my already shut eyes tightly.

"I won't leave you here".

"You're coming with me. Let's go".
