My alarm goes off next to me, and as I reach out and turn it off, Hannah shuffles next to me. We're sharing the same bed, but we didn't do anything physical besides kissing. There are many different rooms in our penthouse, but Hannah snuck into mine. Ellie doesn't know she's in here right now. I want to keep it that way.

I lean up from my side of the bed, roll my neck, and stretch my body. Energy fills me as my body starts to get ready for the day. "Sleep in a bit longer... It's too early to go anywhere yet..." Hannah mumbles from behind me. She's not getting out of the blankets anytime soon. I lean over her, kiss her on the side of her head, and make my way towards the door.

As I make my way towards the kitchen, I can already smell the good food being made by Ellie. I poke my head in and see her cooking pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Along with toast. "That smells awesome." She jumps out of her skin and drops the spatula she's using. She turns to me with a hand over her heart and a flustered look.

She doesn't know what to say immediately, so I step into the kitchen and peak at the food she's making. It looks like she's almost done. "I don't understand how someone so tall and heavy can be so quiet!!" I laugh at her delayed outburst, and she picks up the spatula and goes over to the sink to clean it up.

My eyes are glued on the food, and my appetite grows and grows the longer I stare. "Get out of here. The food will be done in a bit, so come back when I tell you. The giant TV in the living room is waiting for you." She tries to move me from her spot, but it's like someone trying to push against a tree. I abruptly move out of the kitchen, and she nearly falls over.

She cusses in a mumbled voice, and a chuckle escapes me. I plop down on the couch and turn on the TV. First Take should be on right now, so I turn it to ESPN. I'm met with a headline saying. Kennedy Coming to LA? "People are overanalyzing this. Every team flies out top Rookies before the NBA Draft. This isn't different." Stephen A. is right about that.

My eyes turn from the TV as Hannah comes from the hallway still wrapped in a blanket, and makes her way right to me. I open my arms on the couch, and she instantly takes the offering and cuddles up in my arms. "Watching ESPN?" Her voice is tired and heavy. All I can do is smile. We have a big day of fun planned, and she's this tired.

Ellie has decided to let us go and have fun on our own without her. She's really great in the fact she trusts us to be responsible. Kinda sucks that I'm hiding that Hannah came to my room last night. But I think that's a line she's not ready for. Even though we didn't do anything, she would still worry too much. "Yeah, and Ellie is making us breakfast." Hannah lifts her head towards the kitchen.

The food is just about done, and I turn off the burners. I grab some of the plates in the cupboard and pull them out. Preparing the food on them. "What we need to be discussing is where Ulysses is going. The Knicks have the best shot at him, and ladies and gentlemen. It's our damn turn for a superstar out of school." My smile is replaced by a frown from the voice coming from the TV.

I decide to ignore it, bring the food to the couch, and hand them plates. "Thanks, Mo- Ellie." I stop in my tracks and turn around again to look at Ulysses. He's looking at me with wide eyes, and I feel nothing but pure joy. "Sorry..." He doesn't need to be sorry. He just called me mom! "Thanks, Mom..." The fulfillment those words give me is indescribable... He's come to call me his mom...
