Chapter 9 - Decision
It's already midnight as Haruka just went back home. He put his glasses on the table, removing the necktie and jacket and then he slammed his body on the soft bed. Today was a really disastrous day for him. Not only Haruki discovered about his real identity, on top of that Lucian scolded him for not finding anything about Haruki and his job at risk. He could be fired and no more free medical treatment for his mother. He felt tired with all the things that happened around him and it's not even his business to begin with. From how the way Lucian reacted, Haruka knew that there's something happened between him and Haruki. Could be they used to be in love before his boss jumped into this business.
Sigh… I don't want to think about them at all…
What happened before and now it's not even my business….
But… I failed on this…
I couldn't get fired…
And I didn't even know what that Haruki guy would do to me…
Those multiple thoughts made Haruka's mind getting drowsy. Few hours later he fell asleep on the bed.

Haruki looked at the outside view from his window office while smoking. He seemed to think about something. Then, Eris entered his room without even knocking.
"I appreciate if you can at least knock first, Eris."
"Well if I did knocked, I suppose you can say that's not me. Anyway, we didn't have any mission today but you're still in office. So now tell me what's with that looks?" Eris asked. She could see Haruki was bothered by something.
"How do you feel when suddenly your boyfriend was incharge to team up with another girl, would you believe there's nothing between them?"
"Well I don't think any girl would want to team up with him except me. That guy was crazy and he didn't even know what love is about. You asked the wrong question, young master. I suppose you're bothered by that Haruka guy. Jeez, why his name almost same like yours?
"Yeah, you're right. I was bothered by him. If he was like a drag queen, I don't mind at all, but he wasn't in that category at all. I don't like another man beside Yuu at all."
"Well I know you don't like it. But, I don't think he would something funny behind your back. Plus he's basically works for Lucian for the sake of his mother."
"I know that fact too. But I'm not so confident with him. Anyway, have you told your boyfriend about his next task?"
"I did. But anyway.." Eris paused.
"What?" Haruki asked.
"What's with that plan? Asking my boyfriend to be a bodyguard for Lucian. I don't understand."
"So that, he can watch if that Haruka trying to do something funny."
"That jealousy of yours, I called that as obsession. You're obsessed with Lucian."
"Call it whatever you want. I don't care. All I wanted was to be with him."
"You're gonna hurt yourself, young master. But I know you won't listen to me."
....
Next morning….
Haruka got an off day today. He drove himself to Tokyo Hospital where his mother was admitted. He walked inside the hospital; went towards his direction. There's private room there; his mother was there. Haruka smiled as soon he saw his mother.
"Mum!" Haruka greeted her cheerfully. His mother smiled as she saw her son.
"Haruka! It's been a while. You looks good dear."
"I am. How's you doing mum?"
"I think so far I'm good. The doctor said my health became better and better."
"That's good to hear that."
"It's all thanks to you. You worked so hard to give me this. This treatment is not even cheap dear. I'm sure you tried your best to pay for this."
"No mum, I didn't do anything about that at all. In fact, it's thanks to my boss since he's the one that helps us…" Haruka then went into silent. His mother noticed about that. She then hugged his son gently.
"You're seems into trouble. Is there anything happened?"
"Nothing. I'm just... I was stuck between two of them. The other refused to have any connections with this person. And another person tried so hard to make the other noticed his existence. I didn't know what to do with them…"
"Even if you tried, these two won't listen. You cannot satisfied these two. You cannot side with two of them. Just do what you think is good for yourself first, not for them."
"Do something good for myself first?"
"Yes, dear. Remember it's not your problem to begin with. You may offer them solutions, but it's up to them to do it according to what you offer."
"I see. Thanks mum. I'll see what I can do."
"I know it's hard to be the middle person since we have to act as a person that balancing the tension between two persons. But sometimes it's good to watch first."
"Mum, your words of advice always made me feel assured. It reminded me of the time we always sat together at the dining table, talking while drinking sake. I miss that."
"I know. Let's hope I get well soon so that we can drink sake again."
"Yes." Haruka finally smiled. He decided that he would do what he must do.
….
Haruka went to Lucian's office. The blonde hair was a bit surprised to see his secretary as he got an off day. Haruka then handed the letter to Lucian.
"What is this?" Lucian frowned.
"It's my resignation letter. I'm sorry but I did try my best to find out about that Haruki guy and because of your order, my safety was in danger. Therefore I shall not do it. I know you said that you would fire me if I can't do this task. Now you don't have to. I quit my job and it's ok if you didn't pay for my mum's treatment anymore. But still I'm very thankful for what you did to her and I have good experience working with you. I hope you find another better person who can replace me. Now, excuse me."
"You're done talking?"
"Pardon?" Haruka frowned.
"Sorry, but I couldn't accept your resignation letter." Lucian tear down the letter.
"I get it if you cannot find anything about Haruki. It's enough to give me some hints. He's indeed doing dirty work. Now, don't you think you actually managed to find info about him?" Lucian smirked. Haruka was a bit dumbfounded there.
"Anyway I will continue to pay for your mother's treatment and don't you dare to send me resignation letter again. There's no one could replace you. After all, Asuka; you're the only one who's willing to do this dirty business with me."
"Absolutely." Haruka gave a small smile.
"Then I looked forward to continue to work under you again, boss."
