A promised revenge

"And who says you could leave?" An angry Daniel yelled, standing from his seat and roughly shoving Ethan by the shoulders, causing him to fall.

"Did I say you could leave?" His murderous eyes glared at the astonished Ethan, who was now sitting on the floor, speechless.

"I don't want any trouble," Ethan asked stupidly, stunned for a moment.

"Did I say anything like looking for trouble, or is this how much of a fool you are?" He sneered, causing Ethan to frown at him.

"And who says I need your permission to leave?" Ethan vocalized, his eyes shooting daggers at the man towering over him.

He scowled, not liking how Daniel towered over him and attempted to stand.

He failed to notice when two of Daniel's men walked over to him.

"Bang!"

Two rough, huge hands forced him to his knees.

"Did I ask you to stand?" Daniel's gloomy face towered over him once more, his chin raised in authority. "And guess what, you do need my permission before you leave, if you don't think so you can just ask your manager, look, he is standing right over there."

He pointed to the corner of the room where the manager and a couple of employees, huddled together, and sensing his stare, they looked away.

Suddenly, pain clouded his mind, as the men clamped their huge palms and dug into his shoulders, making him hiss at the throbbing sting in his knees and shoulder bones.

His eyes watered, forcing him to close his left eye.

"What do you want?" He choked out, a burning tightening feeling in his throat as he tried to suppress his tears. "Let me go!"

"He still has the guts to order Daniel like this!" A boyish voice taunted.

"He dreams too much, who does he think he is?"

"Who can we blame if not Sasha for causing trouble for us."

Hearing the sneers from his friends, Daniel raged with a red face.

"You still want me to let you go after how you disrespected me and made me a laughing stock to my friends?" Daniel questioned angrily, scorn written all over his features while he continued to set his murderous gaze on Ethan. "I don't think so."

He said, gesturing to his men with his head.

"Snap!"

The breaking of bones was heard in the now-silent restaurant.

Every customer, worker, and even a few paparazzi who had snuck their way in stood frozen and shaken with fear, watching as the scene unfolded before their eyes.

"Argh!"

Ethan's shriek was heard as endless tears came out from his eyeballs and sweat dripped from the side of his head as he felt his now broken arm go numb.

His bone was broken but no one from the crowd dared to stand up for him.

"Daniel!"

Sasha screamed, rushing to her new lover and making him stare at her.

"What are you doing?" She cried in panic. "Let him go; grandfather would not be pleased if he heard of this."

She warned, her eyes nervously scanning the restaurant.

"Stay out of this, Sasha." He warned. "It's my grandfather, and I should worry about it."

"But people are staring." She replied, panicked, scanning the faces around them.

"Let them stare; no one would dare report this to Grandfather." He glared at the crowd, his words holding a looming threat.

She hesitated, her gaze sweeping the restaurant nervously.

"Take him outside." He ordered, looking at the manager to lead the way.

"Yes Mr sullen," the manager bowed, turning a blind eye to the pain-stricken Ethan, "this way gentleman." He said to the two burly men.

Ethan felt two sturdy, rough hands dig into his shoulders, pulling him forcefully to his feet.

He winced, feeling his broken arm being twisted.

"Smack!"

His face planted onto the floor, along with his body, causing him to wheeze out in pain.

His labored breath came out in puffs of smoke in the night air. The particles danced around the air.

His eyes watered at the pain he felt yet again.

"Ahh!"

He cried in pain, feeling a kick by his side that made him coil from the unexpected impact.

"Wham!"

A shoe landed on his face, breaking his nose, and blood dripped onto his clothes and the floor.

"You had so much guts in there earlier, why don't you say something now?" Daniel jeered, his face twisted in mockery.

He yanked Ethan by the hair, forcefully pulling Ethan to face him.

"Ahh!"

Ethan screamed, feeling his scalp being assaulted by the pull of his hair.

"Please." He begged, tears pouring pitifully from his eyes.

His red face was swollen and his throat was tight as he felt his heart pounding in betrayal, hatred, and pain.

"Daniel," Sasha called, and every trace of concern from earlier vanished in an instant. "Make him pay for ever thinking he was good enough to be my husband."

"Sasha." Ethan choked, his mouth hanging agape and his eyes looking at his ex-lover in disbelief.

"Don't you dare call my name!" She snapped viciously. "A nobody like you doesn't deserve to even look at me." She growled in disgust.

"Do you know what it felt like pretending to be married to you?" She flared. "I had to endure constant humiliations, and worst of all, get laughed at by my friends! Didn't you see back there, that's the kind of thing I face every day at school."

"Do you have any idea how it feels to be married to a poor beggar like you?!" She roared, kicking him in the chin.

"It was hell!" She screamed, her voice rising as she continued to rain kicks on his face.

Her once delicate face became clouded with hate and reddened in anger.

"I hate you." She rasped in between kicks. "I wish you would just die!"

She cried out in frustration, angry tears pouring from the corners of her eyes until she was pulled.

Ethan lay weakly on the floor, his face battered and blood trickling from the side of his head.

He smiled brokenly, his half-opened eyes staring at the couple in front of him; it sent shivers down their spines unconsciously.

"I never had enough, but I gave you my heart and my sweat, and this is how I get paid?" He cried bitterly, his voice being the only thing audible in the quiet street outside.

"To hell with your hard work! There were no results! I don't need your stupid love; you can keep it with you." She answered, her voice void of any emotion aside from hate. "And your heart, I tear it into pieces because I never liked you! This was all an arrangement made by Grandpa, not me!'

"No need to argue with him, love," Daniel cooed, fawning over her like a lovestruck fool. "When I am done with him, I am sure he is going to forget everything about you."

He added, turning to face Ethan. "I'm very sure that in hell, there are lots of people who need that love you are offering." He smirked evilly.

"Boys, you know what to do." Daniel nodded, guiding Sasha away from the scene.

"Make sure he doesn't survive." He added, before leaving.

Ethan gazed briefly at the retreating figures of Sasha and Daniel, his eyes watering at the sight of them acting like a loving couple.

He felt his body being picked up and lifted from the ground before his body collided with the wall.

"Wham!" A huge spider-like crack dented the wall.

Followed by blows, kicks, and more snapping of bones, but with a stinging thought and a vow to himself, he blacked out.

First, it was his adopted parents who did everything to torment him, then it was the Jordans, his wife, and Daniel because he had no money!

If he survived this, he promised to get revenge and make them all pay for everything they ever did to him.

It was a promise, a vow, a determination, and a revenge.
