Chapter Two

The next few weeks were filled with drinking free expensive coffee from Thor's shifts at the diner and lounging around in my oversized shirts trying to find the next best thing to a job that wasn't in a coffee facility.

"Any luck as of yet?" Thor entered the living room after hanging his bag and jacket at the door, I shook my head as he handed me what was left of the food from his shift and came to join me on the couch, he sighed and patted my feet that were placed side by side of each other on the sofa.

"maybe you need a break, the boys and I are going to watch some football, it's going to be a decent game, they are great seats and I mean I know you aren't a big fan but at least you understand what's going on, wanna join?" he asked as he looked over at me with the soppiest of eyes, this was his thing that I think he forgot didn't work on me but would work on his ex, what's up with puppy dog eyes, just ask me and accept my answer whether you like it or not.

"I'm not sure, I really need a job because your paycheck won't pay for everything this house needs and well I don't fancy starving any time soon, do you?" I stated as he nodded his head in agreement and then scooted closer to me crushing my feet in the process "it's just one night out, one game, we go and then come back" he smiled innocently and I rolled my eyes looking down at the laptop and then looking back.

I think after the whole quitting maybe I could let myself have some fun whether that be watching others have fun or actually having fun myself, I can always look for jobs on my phone.

"Fine! I'll come but if I get the slightest bit shoved, stepped on I will be going home" I stated as he nodded aggressively and then proceeded to get up yanking me up with him!

"COME ON CHELSEA!" He screamed as I rolled my eyes slightly jogging up the stairs to go and change and get ready for whatever I just signed up to.

I've been friends with Thor for a good amount of time to know how is he like with all types of people and situations, him drunk is probably like a puppy full of energy when you've just gotten into bed. Annoying.

But football Thor I wasn't prepared for nor was I going to enjoy this side of him, he had already budged me seven times and the game hadn't started yet, his friends were exactly the same which I kinda could tell because they are just straight idiots anyway it's like their default setting, but looking at Thor maybe that's why they were friends, Thor tailored his behaviour but this time, nothing was holding him back.

"Hey I'm just going to grab some snacks, do you want anything while I'm gone?" I asked as the game had merely just begun and I was already getting a little bored of it all, still worrying about a job and everything around that.

Thor nodded and went about telling me his order, this guy is a well-built kinda guy but can this boy EAT! it's sometimes very worrying, I know we eat at home so not sure why when we go out he orders as if he hasn't seen food in a week or two.

I walked out of the arena and walked down a carpeted corridor but before I could get to the snack pop-up shop I saw a little girl on her own standing looking so confused and I think scared.

I walked over and she took a little step back as she looked up at me, "hi little one where are your parents?" I asked as she looked down at her top and started playing with the ends in an attempt either not to cry or not let me see she was lost and wanted to cry.

She took a deep breath but still kept playing with her top, I crouched down and took her little hands into mine, she snatched her hands back and looked at me, "mum said I'm not allowed to talk to strangers" I gave her a little smile and stuck my hand out.

"Your mum is right, I'm Staffie and your name is?" I said as she looked between me and my hand and then proceeded to shake my hand with a little smile and giggle, "my name is summer" I winked at her "well summer it's nice to meet you, do you know where your mum is? So we can get you safely back to her?" I asked as she shrugged her shoulders and just pointed in direction of the snack pop-up shop.

"I wanted to get snacks after going to the loo but then I lost them, and I can't run to my uncle as he'll be all sweaty and gross and doesn't get paid to babysit me at his own workplace," she said as I was a little confused by what she said but she's only little so I'll not ask what she means.

"Well if you explain where you started before the loo we can go together so you aren't alone as it's super busy out here, and I don't want you stamped on," I said as I stood up and extended my hand to her, she took it without hesitation and we walked in the direction of the snack shop.

We got halfway to the station when we heard shouting and calling out from one of the fancy rooms, I knew that those kinds of boxes were for family and friends and you have to have MONEY because Thor always wanted to know what it's like to be in one of the boxes and experience the high life.

As we walked closer we saw two figures standing outside a door looking worried as hell as they held each other and now the call was clearer.

"Summer! Summer!" The lady called out, she has long brown hair wearing blue jeans and a blue Chelsea top, similar to her was a man which she was being embraced by, he had dark blue jeans on with a Chelsea top on trying his hardest to keep his wife I guess calmer.

"Mum!" Summer dropped my hand and ran over to the couple, they snapped their heads in our direction and you could just see the look of relief and the worry drop off their shoulders, I watched her run up to them and embrace them in a family hug, the dad lifted her in his arms and they all hugged it out, she must have been away from them for a while.

"Thank you, Staffie for helping me!" Summer said as I made my way up to the couple and their little stress maker, "you're welcome now enjoy the rest of the game" I said she smiled at me and I started to make my way to the snack shop.

As I got to the snack shop I felt a presence beside me as I was waiting for someone to serve me.

"Hi Staffie, I'm Jasmine I'm summers mum, I didn't get to thank you for your help with her just now, one minute she was here the next she was gone, we were so worried! Please let me invite you to our box, my brother would invite you without another thought, if you are with anyone they are welcome to join us in the second half" she said as I smiled at her and she smiled back, good karma gives you good karma back.

"It's no sweat she is a very cute Lil girl! Thank you for the offer I would love to take you up on it, my roommate has always wanted to be in a room in this stadium, I will let him know, thank you again and tell summer I'll see her very soon" we both chuckled as a server came up to take my order.

"Well I'll let you get what you need and I'll put your name at the door," she said as I smiled again "there are only 3 of us anyway so no big group here," I said as she nodded and walked off.

"Took your bloody time huh? We've got like 20 minutes until halftime, we've scored once thanks to Mason" Thor said as with frustration laced in his words and apparently his facial expressions as well, "so if we've scored why the bitterness and the face?" I asked as he wasted no time reaching in the bag and pulling out a packet of skittles, "because they gave Reece a yellow card when really it should have been the other guy that got the card" I nodded and patted his back, "well at least we are winning" I added quietly.

"Oh and by the way we are gonna be seated somewhere else for the second half of the match," I said as he snapped his head towards me and looked at me like he wanted me to proceed into where we were going but I wasn't going to spill anything.

The second half was called and I ushered the boys out of their seats to follow me, "if this is a set-up and we are going home I'm going to be so annoyed at you and will stop paying my half of all the bills I swear" Thor threatened as I giggled and shrugged, "you are gonna wanna take that back in a few minutes.

As we made our way through the crowd of snack shop people we walked to a door and I opened it, as soon as Thor and his friend had time to clock the bouncer jumped in front of us, "this is for family and friends only" he said as Thor tried to pull my shoulders away, "leave it Staffie, we can't fight everyone" he said as I didn't react, "I'm on the list, Jasmine and Summers guests" I said as the bouncer checked his list and nodded moving out the way.

We walked in with Thor completely gobsmacked as to what was happening and well his friend Connor had the same expression.

"Staffie!" Summer called as she run up to me and embraced me in a tight hug, "mum said you were coming back to watch with us" she added as I nodded and winked at her, "summer these are my friends Thor and Connor" she waved at them and the boys still were in a trance, "Hi guys, come here we are all sitting near the window" she grabbed my hand and dragged us to where everyone was.

When we got situated and we were introduced to everyone Thor yanked me to the side and placed his hands on his hips and tapped his foot a little, "what?" I asked as he looked between us and then at the family to the left of us, "explain" he said as I shrugged. "The little girl was lost and couldn't find her family so I helped her find them, why are you acting all-star stuck she is the sweetest girl in the world and her mum was nice so because I helped them bring their daughter back she invited us to enjoy the second half of the game with them" I explained as he laughed a little with amazement in there, "do you know who summer is? And Jasmine?" I shook my head, trust me I know the game and how to play but would I choose to watch footie, no.

"Mason mounts niece and sister! You are literally in presence of a living legend in the making, he is only 23 making millions by doing what he loves while showing everyone why he's the next Lampard! Are you serious right now!" He said as he had now placed his hands on my shoulders and shook me a bit, I mean I couldn't care less if he was blessed by the pope I was helping out a little girl.

"Thor go enjoy the football before I tell Jasmine we are heading out," I said as he wasted no time running back to his friend so they could fan girl about this moment.

I sat down at the table and pulled out my phone, I still couldn't get the fact I had no job out of my head, I really needed a job asap and I would literally take anything right now, I've done a fair amount of jobs for a 23-year-old, I've been a barista twice, a pet groomer, a nanny but that was for a family friend so not sure that counts, I did delivery driving when I was 18 for a cake shop I worked at, I was a sales assistant and a debt caller which wasn't fun because I really don't do old people.

"What's the frown for?" Jasmine came over to me and sat beside me, is it bad to let out everything to someone you've just met? If it is I did it anyway with no hesitation.

"Oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear that! That's terrible, well there is going to be something out there, I'd be happy to help I'm pretty sure we can find you something" she reassured me, I nodded and we started just chatting about how bad our previous jobs have been.
