Chapter 2 : Cooking for my daughter.

The father and daughter embraced each other for awhile after that and none of them seems to want to let go.

Feeling that his daughter seems to have calmed down, Alexander patted her back gently before saying, " Princess, it's already lunch. What do you want to eat? "

Hearing her father's words, Princess slowly lifted her head and used her right hand to wipe her tears away while her left hand was still tightly hugging her father's waist.

" I...I want to eat outside with Papa and... and play games after that. "

" Outside? But what do you want to eat outside Princess? Do you not want Papa's cooking anymore? "

" * giggles *. I love Papa the most but... but Papa don't know how to cook. * giggles * "

Hearing that, Alexander can't help but be embarrassed but can't deny that because it's true. He can't help it. He's always busy from his work so he didn't have time to cook.

Alexander was a Math teacher so most of the time, he's always in the school teaching his students in highschool. He also never tried to learn how to cook because Alexander never in his life thought that he will become a father.

" So Princess didn't believe that her Papa can cook? Hmmp! I'll show princess then. What do you want to eat? " said Alexander in a confident tone. After regaining back his memories from his other seventeen lives, how can he still not know how to cook?

" Are.. are you sure Papa? I want to eat spaghetti and fried chicken! "

" Spaghetti and fried chicken huh, okay then. Papa will cook them for princess but Papa needs to buy ingredients first. Does princess wanted to go with me? "

" Yes Papa! I want to go. I want to go! " replied Princess excitedly.

" Okay. Let's go then my princess. " said Alexander before picking his daughter up and the two of them went outside the house.

The market was only a street away from their place so it didn't take a long time for the father and daughter pair to return.

" Princess, you go and take a bath first while Papa will cook our food okay? " said Alexander after putting her daughter down.

" Mn. I'll do what Papa said. " replied Princess before turning around and left to take a bath. She's already six years old now so she can take her bath alone.

An hour later, Alexander was done cooking and was now transferring the food on the plates.

After that, he picked up the two plates with him and walked towards the dining room. And there he saw his daughter sitting in front of the table patiently waiting for him.

" Here Princess. This is the spaghetti and fried chicken you want. Papa did his best to make this so try it. " said Alexander as he put down the food on his hands to the table.

Alexander then helped his daughter put a portion of spaghetti and a piece of fried chicken on her plates.

" Wow! It's delicious Papa. More delicious thank what auntie Paula cooked before. Papa is the best! " said Princess after tasting the spaghetti on her plates.

" See? Papa can cook right? From now on, Papa will cook for Princess everyday. "

" Really?! Yehey! I'll be with Papa forever! "

Alexander maintained the smile on his face as he watched his daughter eating her food. But deep inside him, he's hurt. No, he felt miserable!

Yes. Knowing the fact that he only have a few days left to be with his daughter makes him want to shout loud and cursed the heavens for being unfair. He want to asked the heavens why it gave him a very weak body. Why does he need to die early after he found someone he wanted to live for!

But Alexander knows that there's no point on doing that kind of things now. He knows his priorities. He only have a very limited time so he must used it well to make sure that his daughter will be fine even after he's gone. That someone will love and take care of her for him.

" Papa, why are you not eating? asked Princess after seeing her father just staring at her and not eating at all. She then used her fork to picked up some spaghetti on her plate and said, " The food you made was super delicious. Here Papa, say aah. "

Alexander was pulled out from his thoughts after hearing what his daughter said. He unconsciously did what his daughter said and opened his mouth to receive the food.

" It's delicious right? Papa? "

" Yes. But it became more delicious after Princess fed me. "

* giggles *

" I will feed Papa forever if he wants. " said Princess after hearing what her father said.

" My daughter is really the best. " said Alexander as he used his hand to clean the sauce on the corner of Princess's mouth.

The father and daughter then continue eating their food enjoyably. Alexander was also feeding his daughter from time to time and also tell jokes to her making her giggle from time to time.

After eating their lunch, Alexander took his daughter with him and bring her to the nearest playground. Princess immediately went wild after arriving there and run around the place trying all of the things she can see there.

Alexander also joined her making sure that she won't fall and hurt herself. They continue playing like that until the sun started to set signaling for them to go home.

At night, Alexander once again cooked food for his daughter which she happily eat. After that, he helped her take a bath before bringing her back to her room to sleep.

In the dining room, Alexander was sitting in front of the table while looking at the phone in front of him. He had a hesitant expression on his face but after awhile, he still choose to pick up the phone and started dialing.

" Hello? Is that you Alex? How can I help you?" said the female voice from the phone.

Hearing that voice, Alexander can't help but smile wryly before saying, " That hurts a lot Paula. Do you think I'll only call you everytime I need your help? "

" Yes. I don't just think that. I really believe that! Hmmp! Tell me what you want immediately Alex because I'm already sleepy."

"..."

" Hey! Are you still there? "

" Yes Paula. I'm still here. Can we talk? Let's have a dinner tonight if you're free. "

" Are you asking me for a date? "

" I don't know. I just want to talk to you about something. "

" Okay then. Come and picked me here after an hour. Be sure to come you here that? Don't talk to me again if you 'Indian' me again this time. " said the female voice before ending the call.

Alexander just smiled after hearing that before he turned around and went to the bathroom to take a bath.
