Chapter 2 Saving Jasper

"We have to run now. We are sitting ducks here, we will go back to camp and get more people to help us" Finn said to us all, not wanting to stay here. I was sure it was more fear than actually wanting to save Jasper. Then again he isn't part vampire that can shrug off a spear so maybe I shouldn't be too harsh on him.

"Clarke! Come on." Fin shouted as she turned around looking back where Jasper was. I was running up at the very front. The whole vampire speed was a big bonus right now even if I have to run at just faster than human speed.

"Monty, get up" I heard Octavia say. Looking where Monty had fallen I could see two, maybe three skeletons. I looked around to see if there were any more we didn't see on the way to the river.

"Who are they?" Asked Finn as if we could tell by a skeleton.

Clarke picked up the head "What are they?" She asked. I could see the head looked ape-like but much larger than any ape head I have ever seen.

Screams sounded not far away "Jasper. He's alive" Clarke gasped out. I was glad I was sure I was going to live through the spear but a part of me was afraid he would die.

Clarke started to run towards where the scream was "Clarke, wait. Wait!!" Finn said with everyone following her. Going to the scream seemed like a bad idea to me but when in Rome.

We ran back to the river Clarke in the lead Finn managed to grab her "Wait. Stay under the trees".

Looking across the bank it was empty "He was just right there." Monty said, panicking. "No. Where is he?"

"They took him," Clarke said. Better the grounders than the reapers I thought. We ran back to camp as fast as we could much faster than we walked yesterday. It only took us a few hours till we got back to camp. If I remember this part right Bellamy gives a speech here that gets most of the people on his side. If I wanted to have any say or control over the camp I needed to break him down right now before it got started most people still have the wristbands on.

I knew just how to do it after all. I know how he got on the dropship and who helped him that will rattle him along with showing the gun that he can't explain how he got and I know what he said to Octavia I can stop him before he gets started.

Clarke was first into camp when I heard her shout. "Wells! Let him go." It seems in a fair fight Wells is the better fighter, a shame most fights aren't fair. Well pushed him away towards Bellamy.

Murphy turned around and tried to lunge at Wells again. "Whoa. Hey! Enough Murphy." Bellamy said, grabbing him and pulling him back.

Bellamy saw Octavia limping into camp. "Octavia. Are you alright?" he asked worriedly.

"Yeah" she replied a little out of breath from running here.

"Where is the food?" Bellamy asked us.

"We didn't make it to Mount Weather," Finn says, sitting down and looking around at everyone.

"What the hell happened out there?" Bellamy demanded to know.

"We were attacked," Clarke said.

"Attacked? By what?" Wells asked, confused.

"Not what. Who?" Finn said in an overly dramatic way. "It turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last grounder." He finished.

"It's true. Everything we thought we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive." Clarke informed everyone. "Radiation won't kill us." She finished always looking on the bright side.

"Yeah, the bad news is the grounders will." I wanted to say that they won't and we could try talking to them but I would lose any chance of them following me and Clarke if I did that when Bellamy starts his stupid speech.

"Where is the kid with the goggles?" Wells asked, looking around for him.

"Jasper was hit. They took him." Clarke told him, looking at Wells. "Where is your wristband?" she asked, confused. This was my best chance to stop him before it gets out of control and he kills 300 innocent people on the ark.

"Ask him," Wells said, pointing to Bellamy.

"How many?" Clarke asked disbelievingly not seeing why someone would take them off.

"24 and counting," Murphy said with a smug smile.

"You idiots. Life support on the Ark is failing. That's why they brought us down here." Clarke started this fact and caught most of the people here off guard. "They need to know the ground is survivable again, and we need their help against whoever is out there. If you take off your wristbands, you're not just killing them. You're killing us!"

Bellamy walked centre stage. "We're stronger than you think. Don't listen to her. She's one of the privileged. If they come down, she'll have it good. How many of you can say the same?" It was a good start praying on their fears would sway them to his side.

"We can take care of ourselves. That wristband on your arm? It makes you a prisoner. We are not prisoners anymore! They say they'll forgive your crimes. I say you're not criminals! You're fighters, survivors!" Playing on their pride was the right way to go about it when they were young.

"The grounders should worry about us!" she shouted out this was my best time to jump in so he couldn't stop me from talking.

"WHY!" I shouted out, causing everyone to look at me. I walked over and stood next to him.

"You know ever since I saw you at the doors of the dropship you seemed off to me." I started planning on breaking down everything he said.

"You said you stole a guards uniform to sneak on the dropship to be with your sister right?" I asked.

"Ya, that right. Why?" he asked, not sure where I was going with this. I could see everyone else thought that as well.

"Well, it doesn't make any sense when you think about it. A guard's uniform is carefully watched; they even have their own washing facility so how did you get it?" I paused for a minute. "I and everyone else could believe that you stole it or bribed a guard for it. I said waving my hand around to include everyone. However, there is a massive hole in your story. Do you know what that is, I asked him?" I wondered if he would see where I was going with this; he was meant to be smart after all.

"Enlighten us what is the massive hole in the story?" Bellamy asked sure he had everything covered.

"Well, I and everyone else could believe that he had gotten a guard uniform, the big hole is…" I said I was standing right in front of him less than 30 cm away. I used my vampire speed to reach down to his waist and grabbed the gun out of his waistband before pushing him away.

"What the hell are you doing," He said, taking a step towards me.

I pointed the gun at him. "This is the big hole in your story. We could believe that you got the guards uniform either by stealing it or a bribe. However a Gun with live ammo in it these are the most restricted thing on the ark and we have a small amount of them. How did you get it?" I asked knowing he didn't have an answer for that.

"What cat got your tongue," I asked him. Well, let me tell you what I think.

"You couldn't have bribed someone for it as only high ranking members of the guard can get guns. Not to mention you were in the working class so you have nothing of value to trade that is worth a gun so you didn't tell it or buy it. That means you were given it. I said knowing everyone's eyes were on me.

I pulled out the magazine, I looked at it and checked the chamber. "Hmm, there are 5 bullets in the mag and one in the chamber for a total of 6 bullets. The problem is that this gun holds 7 bullets." I said to the crowd watching.

"We know it's not been used on the ground so that means you shot it on the ark." I continued with everyone silent. "Now a high ranking member of the guard gave you the gun so they must have wanted you to shoot a high ranking person," I asked looking at him. "Who you shot depends on who gave you the gun. Who gave you the gun Bellamy?" I asked.

"Hmm I didn't think you would answer that but that's okay I can take a good guess. It would have to be someone who was corrupt and a good backer to try something like that." I said walking back and forth.

"Hmm, Oh I know what it was Commander Shumway gave you the gun didn't he?" I asked him and saw his face twitch. I could hear people in the crowd whisper that they saw it too.

"So we have who gave you the gun. Now, why and who did you shoot? Well, Shumway is backed by Diana Sydney, a former Chancellor, so I would guess you shot Chancellor Jaha." I stated.

"More proof of this is when we first landed you pulled your sister to the side and said to her " I did something, ok, to get on the dropship, something that they will kill me for when they come down. I can't say what it is just yet, but you have to trust me." That is what you said to her word for word.

"You were listening to us," Octavia asked, causing Bellamy to shoot her a look.

"No, but if you want a private conversation then maybe go somewhere private sorry," I told her with a guilty smile.

"You say that you are on our side and the ark is our enemy. But that is because you don't want them to come down. You know that your crime will not be pardoned so you are trying to trick everyone here so that you won't get punished." I shouted at him.

"The idiot thing is that they will come down regardless. Clarke has already said the life support is failing. They don't have enough air to breathe and they have no choice. We were sent down to see if the earth is livable and to buy a month more air for the ark. Yes, that was a shitty thing for them to do, no one is arguing that. I asked looking toward the rest of the group

"Yeah" I heard a few more people shouting out and even more nodding along.

I turned away from Bellamy to talk to the rest of the 100. "When that extra month runs out what do you think will happen?" I asked the rest of the 100 "Anyone?" No one said anything.

"Okay well, there are three options…

Option 1. If they have another dropship they will send more people down but it's safe to say they don't have another one down or they would have sent them both down at the same time to buy more air for the people on the ark." I paused so they could understand that there were no more dropships.

Option 2. This is the most likely they do a culling." I heard a lot of people gasping after culling hadn't happened in a long time. "By doing a culling they will buy more time for the radiation to drop on earth and every extra month could mean they survive when they come to earth." I paused again.

"Who do you think will be a part of the culling the privileged hmm not likely. It will be the working class. It will be your parent's, your friends, your girlfriends or boyfriends that is who will be a part of the culling" I shouted out "Every single wristband you take off is one more reason for the council to agree to a culling."

I pointed at Bellamy "It's okay for him he has his family down here with him right now he has nothing to lose. What about all of you? Most of you have friends or family or loved ones on the ark you are willing to run the risk of them dying just because Bellamy doesn't want to have to pay for his crime. Why should you or your loved one pay for what he did?" I shouted at them.

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Well, it seems I have got them on my side.

Bellamy would tell you that we don't need the guns of the guard that we are stronger than the grounders. Well, where does he base that on what the fact had one gun with a total of 6 bullets in it oh we can kill a total of 6 grounders with it that will make a big dent in their army."

"The grounders know where we are. We fell out of the sky. It was very covert, was it." I heard some people laughing at that. "They have shown they know how to hide as we didn't notice them following or watching us. We saw them throw a spear from at least 300 feet away with pinpoint aim. We can't do that or raise your hand if you can?" I wanted them to know the danger and not fool themselves.

"They have lived in the area for who knows how long so they know it like the back of their hand. The fact they live on the ground, any guns there were laying around after the bombs were dropped was no doubt taken by them so we can't get more guns." I said laying everything out there for them.

"I doubt Mount Weather has any supplies in it. Either they have had years if not decades to take or use everything in the mountain any secret stashes I would guess they have found already. Unlike us they have as much food water and air as they want so can have as many kids as they want who knows how many grounders there are 1000 maybe 4000 who knows but it would be easy to say if we on our limited supplies on the ark can spare a 100 they could no doubt spare 300 or 400." I told them if I remember the clan we are in now have a few 1000s active fighters.

"If we follow what Bellamy said it will lead us to our death." I finished.

"What should we do about them then?" I heard someone shout out.

"I'm not sure yet. We don't know enough about them. Why didn't they attack till Jasper crossed the river? It's not like we are quiet because for all we know past the river hostile land or enemy territory?." I replied.

"But! Here are things we can do right now the 1st and most important is to start building a wall around our camp to make it harder for any grounders or wild predators from being able to attack us while we sleep." I saw them looking concerned about being attacked at night.

"Use whatever tools you can find or make to start cutting down trees to build a wall with. When leaving camp do it in groups of 3 for the time being and stay in sight of the camp." I advised them.

"This is the best way to stay safe till we have a wall. Once we have that we can build weapons to hunt with so food won't be a problem." I looked around to see if people were agreeing with me with my new sight. Seeing peoples micro-expressions was much easier and while most seem to agree with me. However, the people who first followed Bellamy like Murphy, Atom and some others were looking pissed off I'm guessing due to losing power.

I looked at Clarke "Are we going to look for Jasper? He was still screaming when they took him so he should still be alive."

Clarke nodded "Yes I am going after him."

I gave her a nod back. "Well, I am coming as well so that makes two of us. I am sure after Bellamy was talking big he will have no problem coming along either right?" I asked, looking at him.

Bellamy nodded back "Ya I don't see why not" I was sure he was just coming to try to get the gun back but let him. "Murphy will come as well," He said, nodding towards John.

"Right everyone else let's get started on the wall. Don't worry about planning it out, just cut down the trees and tomorrow when we have a large stockpile we can plan it out and start building." I encouraged them.

"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" They shouted out and started to go off and cut down trees. When we bring the animal back, hopefully, everyone will see sense in what I said.

I looked around and saw that Clarke and Wells had walked off no doubt in the dropship to try to find stuff to help with Jasper. I walked into the dropship.

"Hey, you ready?" Clarke asked Finn.

"I'm not going anywhere, and neither should any of you. That spear was thrown with pinpoint accuracy from 300 feet." Finn said taking the cautious route but I knew he would follow us along with Wells.

"So what, we let Jasper die? That's not gonna happen." Clarke said angrily at the idea alone which I agreed with dying alone would suck. "Spacewalker? What a joke. You think you're such an adventurer. You're really just a coward." Clarke said to Finn disappointed in him.

"It's not an adventure, Clarke, it's a suicide mission." Finn spat back which was a fair point if it wasn't for my perks I would run the other way.

Clarke shoved past him and I followed along with Wells. We walked over to Bellamy who was cleaning Octavia's wound on her leg.

"What the hell was it?" Bellamy asked.

"I don't know. The others said it was a giant snake-like thing. Does it matter what it was?" Octavia said back gasping in pain.

"You could have been killed," Bellamy said

"Hmm, she would have been if I didn't jump in after her. I won't wait for you to thank me. Come on let's go" I said to Bellamy it's hard to hate a guy that loves his sister as much as he does.

"You guys leaving? I'm coming, too." Octavia said, trying to stand up before grunting in and sitting back down.

"No, no. No way. Not again." Bellamy shot down.

"He's right. Your legs are just gonna slow us down." Clarke said I would have gone with a more gentle approach than that.

"Come on, let's go already. I want to be back before dark" I said inpatient due to feeling guilty about not finding a way to not let him be speared in the chest.

"Atom? My sister doesn't leave this camp. Is that clear?" Bellamy called out and the guy turned around, walked up and gave him a nod.

"I don't need a babysitter." Octavia protested no doubt hating the idea after being under the floor for 16 years.

I walked up to her and whispered "At least he is somewhat cute." I said with a wink. Okay, let's go" I said, taking the lead next to Clarke.

I heard Bellamy "Anybody touches her, they answer to me."

I heard Octavia try to stand up "You're staying here." Atom said, grabbing her.

Wells walked up to us "Those guys aren't just bullies, Clarke, Violet. They're dangerous criminals."

"Ya, that's why I asked them to come along. Also leaving them at the camp means they would try and disrupt what is going on. Better they are with us where we can keep an eye on them."

I heard Murphy ask "Since when are we in the rescuing business, huh?"

"We need that gun back. Then we can worry about Ark." Bellamy said back to him. "There is no way people like us will have it good when the Ark comes down to the earth."

Walking through the forest at human speed was the most boring thing ever. I wanted to let go. How fast can I run? How high can I jump? I had so many things that I wanted to try and I'm stuck walking at a snail's pace.

I could hear Bellamy trying to get under Wells' skin and turn him against me and Clarke and fruitless endeavour if I had ever seen one he knows he came down to keep Clarke safe just like how he came down here to keep his sister safe he was never going to turn on Clarke.

"Glad to see you joined us Finn" I shouted back as he walked up.

He jogged up to us. "You call this a rescue party? Got to split up, cover more ground. Clarke, Violet come with me."

I smirked, "I think you just want the girls to yourself," I said letting out a laugh.

"Better late than never," Clark said with a smug smile. I guess she expected him to follow after all.

Finn looked at me. "I have been thinking about what you said about the river being a boundary. It makes sense. But why throw a spear at Jasper, why not throw more at the rest of us."

I thought for a second. "Well unless we ask them we can't be sure? I can take some guesses at it though."

"The first I already said is that it is hostile land so they can attack people there. The next idea is that the land is off-limits to the people that live in this area and by crossing the river we could have caused a fight with the 2 different tribes or lands." I said thinking about it as far as I remember it was never said in the show why he was attacked.

It could have been Ice nation or they were scared that the mountain men would come out if we went near the mountain. "Maybe when we find Jasper he can tell us," I added after a few seconds.

"So I guess that means Mount Weather is off-limits then," Finn said, letting out a sigh.

"What about the supplies? How are we going to get food?" Clarke asked after all we had maybe 2 days of food left from what the Ark gave us.

"I doubt there is anything in Mount Weather anyway if people have been on the ground for so long they will have taken it long ago. As for getting food well, we will have to hunt. We saw there were deer around. So I'm sure there will be other animals like pigs or boar we could make fish traps with." I said while looking up in the trees to see if any grounds were following us I couldn't see or hear anyone. I would guess they are watching the camp. I know tonight is when Lincon shows up and looks at the camp.

"Wow," Finn said.

"Well, at least water isn't a big problem anymore," I said to Clarke. "This is what a 1-hour walk from the drop site is."

"Hmm, Ya it's about that" Clarke said grabbing an empty bottle out of her bag to fill up.

"Oh, yeah," Finn shouted, jumping into the pool of water. Did he forget about the man-eating eel in the last pool of water? I would have least thrown something in to check first.

"Come on, Finn. We don't have time for this." Clarke said stood in the shallow end filling the water bottle up with I wish I had brought one with me as well. Taking in a breath I could smell something that was sickly sweet. I knew that it was blood. I was not sure how I knew it was blood but I did. Guess something that comes with being part vampire.

This was another thing that got me the grounders were masters at hiding tracks yet they made this one so easy that even the 100 could find and follow it.

"Clarke, we've been hiking for hours," Finn said, splashing Clarke. "We need to take a break."

"We can take a break after we have found Jasper," I told him. "Every minute we are not looking for him could be what causes him to die," I said thinking Finn didn't really get the situation.

"No, no. Finn! Don't!" I heard Clarke say as Finn pulled her into the pool. "Damn it, Finn!"

"I think I know why you're so hell-bent on finding Jasper, why you're always taking care of everybody else," Finn said to Clarke. Good job he didn't say that to me. No way would he have guessed that I knew what was going to happen to Jasper and allowed it to happen.

"Now you sound like my mother." Scoffed Clarke. I realised that she still doesn't know that her mum is the one that reported her father and that it wasn't Wells. I was sure Wells dies around this time soon. I plan on keeping him alive. Maybe Jaha won't go all-in on the city of light if he was still alive.

"No. Go on. This should be good. The delinquent psychiatrist." Clarke teased him.

"You couldn't save your father," Finn said, killing any mood that was there. Was it hard for him to get that Clarke doesn't like talking about him?. Then again they are only 17 I think they are 100% under the age of 18. Now that I think about it I am sure I have seen some that are really young wasn't Charlotte 10.

Clarke was staring at something across the pond from the smell and what I know about the future it was covered in blood and had Jaspers goggles left behind. This always bothered me in the show and even more so in real life. There is no blood leading up to it on the bank or any leading away from it. It's a clear setup they wanted us to find.

Then again I can't remember who put Jasper in the tree or if it even said it doesn't seem like something the grounders would do. As far as I can remember they never encountered something like this again from the grounders or reapers. I guess it doesn't matter either way.

"I saw Clarke picking up the googles. "Jasper. He was here. We need to get the others."

Finn reached down and touched the blood. "We're close." Not sure how he knows that I don't know how long blood takes to dry, not to mention it's next to a pool of water I'm sure he is just saying that to sound better.

We walk up the bank following Finn who seems to at least be able to track as we are going in the right direction. "Hey, how do we know this is the right way?" Murphy called out thinking this is a waste of time.

"We don't. Spacewalker thinks he's a tracker." Bellamy said scoffing at Finn.

"It's called "cutting sign." Fourth-year earth skills. He's good." Wells added I was surprised anyone even listened in earth skills class after all they thought it was another 4 generations before they would be going to the ground. I wouldn't have listened in that class at all.

I remember that some of the 100 got extra classes with Pike before coming to the ground. Oh ya, Pike I will have to do something about him. He was horrible. He got so many people killed for nothing but his stupid hate. Not sure what to do as he lands away in Ice nation. I also can't be caught and taken to the mountain for any reason. After all, when they try to run blood tests on me how will having the needle snap when trying to take blood from me go.

"You want to keep it down or should I paint a target on your backs?" Finn snarked back.

"Oh, I'm sure they already know where we are. They were no doubt watching the camp and saw us leave hell. They might have been following us all day." I said back to him with a shrug.

[Distant moan]

"What was that?" Murphy asked spooked.

"Well if I had to take a guess. I would say that was Jasper." I replied. Taking out the gun. "I guess I will take the lead then. Keep an eye out behind in case any grounders try to screw us over" I said walking in front with the gun.

"I would like to screw you" I heard Murphy mutter, causing me to roll my eyes. You can dream Murphy.

We ran through the forest and down a hill to come to a clearing with the strangest tree I have ever seen. Everyone gasped looking at it as Jasper was tied to the tree with his shirt missing. On the right-hand side of his chest, there was some kind of medical plaster covering where I am guessing he got hit with the spear. It looked more to the centre when it happened which is why I guess he lived.

Jasper was letting out low moans every few seconds. I could hear a new heartbeat to the left of us further back. This new heartbeat was a much larger sound than a human and it was beating slower as well but more forceful. I guess that is the Jaguar that we are going to be eating tonight.

"Jasper. Oh, my God." Clarke stuttered out before trying to walk towards him.

I grabbed her "Clarke, be careful." Finn said a second after I grabbed her.

"What are you doing!!" Clarke hissed at me trying to free herself.

"Shut up" I hissed back. "Look at this. This is clearly a trap of some kind. We need to approach this carefully or another person will be hurt or killed. And you are the last person that will be going over to him. You are our only doctor if you die or get hurt Jasper will have no one to treat him. Think with your head." I lectured her.

She did a lot of things on the show without thinking them through. I hope I can curb that from her or lower it.

"Check the ground, I'm sure there are pitfall traps. Why else string him up in a tree? I will keep a lookout." I said to Wells and Finn "You and Murphy walk around the edge." I know there was a pitfall trap with spikes but they never really showed where it was.

"Here," Finn shouted, lifting off a thin layer of grass and plants to what was a pitfall trap with spikes that looked like bamboo but I hadn't seen any growing anywhere. "Thanks for the heads up," he said, giving me a nod.

"There's a poultice on his wound," Clarke said, getting a better look now she was closer.

"Medicine? Why would they save his life just to string him up as live bait?" Wells asked, confused.

"Maybe what they're trying to catch likes its dinner to be breathing," Bellemy said darkly.

"Maybe what they're trying to catch is us." Said Finn looking around worried.

"Maybe they made it easy to find him after all they could have washed all that blood away next to the river… so we could be what they are after. Or maybe it's a warning about going near the mountain. I said, making everyone look at me. "Just cut him down as fast as you can"

A large growl is heard causing everyone to look around. "What the hell was that," Murphy asked.

"I would say whatever they were using Jasper to lure here. Just hurry up and cut him down." I told them keeping my eyes on where I could hear the animal.

We watched it prowl around and step into the clearing. It was a massive Panther, it was huge maybe. While Panthers are large cats this one was the size of a fully grown lion. I would be lying if I didn't say that it didn't scare me. Sure I am stronger and faster than it but that was easier to think when not facing it.

The panther crouched low on the ground Snarling. Before springing into action and lunging at us.

[Gunshot]

My first shot hit it in the shoulder [Roars] it leapt into the large grass. I had to wait for it to come out. No point wasting bullets. I remember how close it was with Wells just firing and hoping to hit it.

The grass was shaking as it prowled around. "Everyone back up into the tree" I shouted. Waiting for it to jump back out. The Panther gave a giant leap at the people in the tree.

[Gunshot]

[Gunshot]

I saw the bullet hit the panther once in the head and another in the belly. It crashed into the ground not moving again. Everyone was panting looking at the Panther and then me. "Nice shot," Wells said.

"Well on the bright side we have dinner for everyone now. Roast Panther sounds pretty good" I said with a chuckle. Everyone joined in.

"Yes, roast Panther sounds better than anything the Ark gave us to eat." Clarke agreed.

I know that the camp can't be split like it is. But I also know that Raven will be coming down to earth in 9 or 10 days. I also know that Jaha is still alive if I can get Bellamy to work with me till Raven comes down and show him that he didn't kill Jaha. We can have the camp run smoothly, maybe even avoid fighting with the grounders at all. The mountain men are our biggest danger.

They managed to cut Jasper down and Finn grabbed one side and Clarke grabbed the other.

"Wells, Murphy grab the panther and let's get out of here," I said looking at Bellamy Murphy grumbled. I walked next to Bellamy "You and I need to have a little chat" I whispered to him.

We waited till everyone else was up ahead and out of earshot. "What do you need to chat about," he asked, doing a good job at hiding his feelings. I'm sure he must have been angry at me from my speech at the camp.

"We both know that the Ark is going to come to the ground. It is just a matter of when." I started and raised my hand before he could cut me off. "Let me finish," I said.

"As I said they are going to come down, it's when not if. You shot Jaha so you could come to the ground. That's why you want people to take off their wristbands. That is pointless now you know they have no option but to come down to the ground wouldn't you agree?" I asked him.

He nodded "Ya, where are you going with this?"

"Well with so many wristbands being removed they are not sure if it is safe or not. I had a friend who worked in engineering. They don't have any more dropships to use other than for when the entire Ark comes to the ground." I said.

"They do however have a few escape pods. They could send someone down with a radio to check after all most of the 100 have their wristbands on still. "Now I don't think either of us like the high ranking members of the Ark. I don't and you don't. When you shot Jaha, where did you shoot him?" I asked, hoping it was the same as the show.

"I.. " Bellamy started before going silent.

"Oh, please we both know you shot him just tell me where it matters," I said rolling my eyes.

"In his stomach why does it matter," Bellamy asked, annoyed.

"Are you sure he is dead?" I asked looking at him to see him pondering it.

"Here is what I suggest or am offering. We wait till the escape pod comes down to earth or till we can talk to the Ark. If we talk to the Ark and Jaha is dead then you can leave at any point hell you can take a month's supplies." I said and paused letting him think about the offer.

"However, if Jaha is still alive, I would guess he is. You can trade the information about who gave you the gun and who he works for in exchange for a pardon. You have nothing to lose in either case and everything to gain." I paused again to let him think it over.

A few minutes went by. "And what do you want from me for this," he asked cautiously.

"The camp is split into 3 groups at the moment. The people that follow you, The people that follow me and Clarke and the people in the middle. We have real threats like that panther without the gun we would have been screwed." I said trailing off.

"What I want is for all of us to work together… I want as many people to live as possible. I don't want to wake up every morning and think that a culling of 300 people was in part my fault and I don't think you do either. So what do you say, `` work together?" I asked holding out my hand for him to shake on.

He looked at it for a minute. "Fine," he said, shaking my hand.

"That means no more taking wristbands off" I clarified.

"Not like it matters. As you pointed out they will have to come down anyway" He grumbled if I had to guess he was worried his sister would be blamed or dragged into his crime. I had soon on the TV show that Jaha will pardon him for the info so I wasn't worried.

"You don't know how to use a bow and arrow do you?" I asked him.

"No, when would I have used a bow and arrow before," He asked, rolling his eyes.

"Well, we only have 3 bullets left, not much good for hunting" I replied "We have to go back to basics. I can make a bow and arrows. I will get started tomorrow if you can organise people to hunt and others to cut down trees for the walls?" I asked him.

"Ya I can do that" He replied.

The next few hours walking back was slow and boring. With Jasper being so near death and moaning in pain no one wanted to talk. We saw the light of the camp not too far away. The sun was just setting so we got back in time. Cutting up the panther in the dark didn't seem like fun.

As we entered the amp everyone crowded around pointing at Jasper and whispering. Then Murphy and Wells dropped the tarp with the panther in it.

Like the TV show, he went to the tarp and pulled it back " Who's hungry?!" Bellamy shouted out.

All the kids shouted out happy to have some new food and real meat.

I walked up next to him. "Good! FOR TONIGHT WE HAVE ROASTED PANTHER!!!" I was pretty excited to try it and from everyone cheating so were they.

I walked into the dropship grabbing a bottle of water on my way to help Clarke wash off the blood on Jasper. I saw her using a damp cloth trying to clean his face. They had painted something on his face. I wasn't sure if it meant anything though.

"Here," I said, giving Clarke the bottle of water. "Do you need any help with anything?" I asked. The smell of the blood was getting to me a little.

"A clean rag would be helpful" I looked around and ended up tearing some of the fabric of the seat backrest. I saw that Finn had given Clarke a metal figure. I was sure that was something Raven started. I wasn't sure how to save Clarke from the heartbreak that was coming.

I handed Clarke the rag to use. "He's stable for now, but without medicine…"

"He won't be for long. What about the poultice they used maybe we what they used in that it kept him alive this long hasn't it?. I asked her. I know that she made red weed tea and that helped him but I wanted to double-check.

"Not sure I will remove it in the morning and see," Clarke replied.

I could see everyone lining up for food but unlike the TV show where everyone had to take off their wristbands for the food, it was just being given out to people now. My talk with Bellamy seems to have paid off. I saw Bellamy look over at me and give me a small nod which I returned. I was sure if he could remain to look after his sister he would take that option in a heartbeat.

Now I just hope that Raven comes down in the escape pod from the show. Clarke's mum should have asked her already before the bomb fire as Raven was working on it as Clarke's mum watched the 100 take their wristband off.

I saw that both Clarke and Finn had got some food and were sitting down eating. I went to get some food myself. It wasn't bad. It was a bit tough but other than that it was okay. Looking around I saw Clarke and Finn, a grounder who I knew to be Lincoln. I wanted to wave but that would spook him for sure. I looked away 10 days and Raven would be here.

Now there is just the grounder war to prevent and the Mountain to worry about. I was sure that both of them were watching us at the moment.
