Lei Xing Yi

Lei Xing Yi was her cousin from her mother's side. She was the daughter of Kang Mao Lan's older sister. However, Lei Xing Yi was around 8 to 9 years younger than her because Kang Mao Lan's older sister didn't wish to get married until she was coerced by her father.

But even then, their family was not that harmonious either. Yu Yan still remembered that before she moved to the capital city for her high school education, Lei Xing Yi was often dropped off at Grandpa Kang's place. But since their age gap was quite big, the two of them were not close to each other.

"Are you here to inspect the mine?" Lei Xing Yi asked carefully.

Yu Yan nodded. "You too?"

"Well, I'm the one who's usually in charge…." Lei Xing Yi's voice trailed a bit as she looked at Yu Yan carefully. "But if you want to be the one in charge, I can…"

"There's no need. I don't know much about mine. It's better to leave it in the hand of someone who can take care of it well." Yu Yan waved her hand. Even though Lei Xing Yi was only 17 to 18 years old, she was capable to manage this mine with Old Wu help. If it was Yu Yan, she was not entirely sure that she would be able to do that.

"Alright, Cousin Yu Yan."

Old Wu on the back just sighed. "Xing Yi, you come at the right time. Your cousin wants to hand her share's right to her husband!"

Lei Xing Yi was stunned. She then looked at Yu Yan then to the man beside her. At first, she thought that they were only boyfriend and girlfriends. Little did she expect that their relationship was actually one step further.

"Congratulations, Cousin Yu Yan."

"Thank you." Yu Yan smiled. She then looked at Lei Xing Yi. "Can I ask you to keep this matter low before I finish the paper of transfer? At that time, everyone in the Kang Family will know about it."

"I understand, Cousin Yu Yan." Lei Xing Yi was polite and smart. She would not try to cross Yu Yan because it would benefit her in the slightest bit. Her eyes moved to Long Ying and then to Yu Yan for a moment but she didn't say anything else.

"Yes, you to, Cousin Yu Yan."

Old Wu nearly rolled his eyes when he saw how polite these two were. Well, it was also true that their age differed so greatly, but it was still a bit overwhelming for him to watch the two of them like this.

After all, they were family!

After they had finished talking, Yu Yan guided Long Ying to the stairs once more. He looked at him and smiled awkwardly. "Lei Xing Yi is my aunt's daughter. I'm not that close to her but she's not my enemy."

Long Ying nodded. He felt that there was something that Lei Xing Yi wanted to say yet unable to. That high school girl looked quite weird in his opinions.

Yu Yan grabbed Long Ying's arm tighter. "The second mine is called AB mine and it generate several millions of yuan profit per year. My aunts have the most share along with my male cousins. Me and Lei Xing Yi could only get the share to 5 percent of the profit if we manage to fulfill grandfather's condition."

"The condition is?"

"For me, it's to get married before I turn 28 as for Lei Xing Yi, she had to graduate as top 10 in her school." Yu Yan smiled bitterly. She already knew that this was one of the reasons why her family always sabotaged her relationship. They wanted to make sure that she couldn't get married and get her hand in the share.

She was already 26 years old and there was only two years left. Even though she didn't care for the share, she still hated it when her family members continued to disturb her just because of that.

Long Ying tilted his head and suddenly pulled Yu Yan to his embrace. "Does it mean you're marrying me because you want to share?"

"Rubbish! Who's the one shoving the form back then?" Yu Yan refuted. She didn't even think that much about marriage and it was Long Ying who shoved the paper right to her.

"True." Long Ying rubbed his chin. "So, do you agree for the mine?"

"I'll transfer the right to you." Yu Yan pursed her lips and pushed her hands to pull her body away. They were in public and his close proximity to her made her felt embarrassed.

She didn't hate his closeness.

It was just… she didn't want to be the source of gossips for the worker here.

Long Ying's lips curled up when he saw Yu Yan's decisiveness. He knew that she didn't care about that mine's right at all just from her reaction, so it meant that she agreed for a different reason.

Hmm, could he take it as cue for him to start getting even more shameless?

His lips formed a devilish smile when the thought crossed his mind.
